According to a financial expert, the indicators are all showing signs of an impending economic downturn and a United States recession. Chris Watling, chief executive of financial advisory firm Longview Economics, said this economic collapse could be just around the corner.

Whenever it happens, itll be just in time for the preplanned solution, a central bank digital currency. However, Watling said that the standard timeline for a recession is about happens when yields on shorter-dated securities rise above those for longer-term ones. As the curve first inverted in March 2022, the economic downturn could occur at any time.

Taiwan Has Tilted Mailboxes as a Reminder of Its Resilience and Hope

From sweeping landscapes to intricate buildings, Taiwan is an island nation that many tourists frequent. That's why it can seem odd that one of their most famous landmarks are two humble mailboxes. Located in the Zhongshan District in the city of Taipei, these unique mailboxes have captured the public's imagination thanks to their appearance. Unlike most mailboxes, these two, known as Little Red (or Xiao Hong ) and Little Green ( Xiao Lu) are severely bent. But beyond it's cute-looking tilt, they also tell a much deeper story.

Due to its location, Taiwan is prone to typhoons, as it is usually hit by three or four cyclones a year. In 2015, a particularly bad one known as Typhoon Soudelor struck the island. During the storm, a billboard got loose due to the heavy winds and hit the mailboxes. While it bent their posts, it didn't tear them down.

After the storm was over, citizens of Taipei came across the newly leaning mailboxes and fell in love with them. Not only did they look adorable, but they were also a symbol of resilience and survival. The new attraction seemed to say, You can strike us, but we'll stay on our feet with a smile on our face.

Social media quickly caught wind of these new landmarks and people began visiting them. It wasnt long before they started staging fun photos with the new landmarks, using forced perspectivesimilar to the way tourists pose in Italy with the leaning tower of Pisa. This led authorities to embrace the symbolism of the mailboxes, and instead of repairing them, they added a plaque telling their story in Chinese, Japanese, and English.

XRP price is trading sideways alongside most cryptocurrencies in the market today. The coin had been trading above $0.5 until April 21, when a bearish wave pushed it below $0.45 to $0.43. The token has witnessed a slight recovery above $0.46 today.

As a result, crypto enthusiasts fear a further decline in XRP. Notably, a prominent crypto analyst shared a post responding to his friends forecast of XRP slumping to $0.10, but Egrags response was that technical indicators on XRP price dont support such a price decline. 

No Technical Indicator Supports Dropping To $0.10, Says Egrag

The ongoing market-wide downturn has caught up with XRP, its price has been gaining momentum over the past few weeks. The coin succumbed to the bearish trend, pushing it to lose its past weeks gain by 9.87%. This downturn has stirred reactions among the crypto community, with people, including Egrags friend speculating a drop back to $0.10.

However, Egrag reacting to his friends forecast, said it was a wrong call. The analyst shared some technical insights for XRP in response to the friends prediction. Egrag noted that XRPs movements aligned with his predetermined technical indicators like the Fibonacci targets. And no technical indicator or Fibonacci targets support the idea of Ripples native coin price correction to $0.10.

Egrag said his friends forecast seems more like a personal speculative opinion than an analytic insight. He further noted that while a price correction to $0.10 is possible, the probability is slim and not as low as his friend speculates. Nevertheless, sudden regulatory enforcement could stir up such a price drop for XRP.

Egrag argued that while crypto assets have some immunity against bearish economic events, their prices are still susceptible to unforeseen occurrences. Therefore, any notable XRP price decline to $0.10 would rather be due to a regulatory action instead of mere market forces. 

So, Egrag concluded that a price fall to $0.10 for XRP is technically impossible without unfair regulations. He encouraged the XRP Army to remain steadfast in support of the token as a significant price correction presents a buying opportunity.

XRP Price Outlook

Meanwhile, the XRP community anticipates the summary judgment for the Ripple vs. SEC lawsuit regarding the tokens status as a security.

One thing that highlights how investors are feeling when it comes to the market is the Crypto Fear & Greed Index. This index takes into account things such as social media sentiment, market momentum, volatility, etc, and with this, it provides a score based on a 1-100 scale.

Now, on this index, 1-25 marks extreme fear, which is when investors are very wary of the market. 26-50 is the fear territory but with less wariness from investors. 51-75 is greed, a region that shows investors are more likely to invest in the market. And finally, 76-100 is extreme greed when the euphoria is the highest in the market, usually seen in bull markets.

However, the 48-52 levels are usually reserved for the neutral level which is where the index currently sits. • A recent systematic review and meta-analysis determined that very early interventions do not lead to improvements in autism symptomatology, cognitive or expressive language outcomes by age 3. Additionally, there was evidence that very early support programs may not improve receptive language. 
• In an effort to assist families, medical institutions, and policymakers in managing the adverse effects of autism, a new scientific review article from China studied early death and causes of death for individuals with autism spectrum disorders (ASD). The reviews results showed that all-cause mortality was higher in patients with ASD than in the general population. Females with the disorder were shown to have a greater death risk ratio than males. The authors revealed that the risk of natural death for people with autism was higher, which they attribute to comorbid medical conditions. • Concerning new research shows that 16% of children with autism had been expelled from a preschool or child-care setting before elementary school. The average age of the expulsion was 3.3 years. Research Depicts Profound Autism as Very Different than Autism Spectrum Disorder

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) recently reported that 26.7% of individuals with autism qualify as having profound autism, defined as having the disorder with an intelligence quotient (IQ) score <50 or being nonverbal or minimally verbal. This is the first time CDC has investigated and reported on profound autism prevalence rate data. The authors determined that the rate of profound cases increased from approximately three cases per 1,000 children in 2000 to about five cases per 1,000 in 2016. This report analyzed population-based surveillance data from the Autism and Developmental Disabilities Monitoring Network (ADDM) for 20,135 children aged 8 with autism from 2000-2016. The data showed that children with profound autism were more likely to be female, from racial and ethnic minority groups, of low socioeconomic status, born preterm or with low birth weight, have self-injurious behaviors, have seizure disorders, and have lower adaptive skills. The report also highlights that profound autism is markedly different from the broader diagnosis of autism spectrum disorder and points out that children with profound autism may have considerable medical complexity.  It is unlikely that these more affected children will be able to live independently or perform daily living tasks as they grow older. The authors concluded their report by emphasizing that calculating the number of individuals with profound autism and describing their needs is extremely important. It will ensure this vulnerable group receives the services and support needed during their lifetimes. They also called for more research specific to those with profound autism, especially as they transition to adolescence and adulthood.

Discovered Compounds Tied to Inflammation, Disruption of Membrane Integrity, and Neurotoxicity

An international team of researchers from Columbia Universitys Mailman School of Public Health and the Norwegian Institute of Public Health has discovered disrupted levels of molecular compounds in maternal blood and cord blood. The team believes these compounds  can be linked to a later diagnosis of autism spectrum disorder (ASD) in offspring. Their study involved analyzing levels of 1208 distinct chemical compounds in blood samples collected from 408 mothers at mid-gestation (17-21 weeks) and in cord blood obtained from 418 children at birth through the Norwegian Autism Birth Cohort (ABC). The molecular compounds were analyzed to determine if they were related to a clinical diagnosis of autism at ages 3-5. To carry out this process, the authors utilized chromatography/mass spectrometry-based metabolomics assays to measure levels of chemical compounds found in the maternal and cord blood samples. They then used machine learning to evaluate the predictive value of the compounds as biomarkers for ASD. The authors found 12 chemical compounds in maternal mid-gestation (MMG) samples of ASD girls, three compounds in MMG samples of ASD boys, eight compounds in cord blood (CB) samples of ASD girls, and 12 compounds in CB samples of ASD boys that appear to be linked to autism. These discovered compounds have previously been associated with inflammation, disruption of membrane integrity, impaired neurotransmission, and neurotoxicity. Machine learning analyses suggested that the compounds could serve as biomarkers, especially for those discovered in cord blood. Finding biomarkers is critical, as they can open the door to early diagnosis and treatment, leading to optimal outcomes for children with autism.

The deep correction in the crypto market, led by the collapse of the Bitcoin price, has pushed the Shiba Inu (SHIB) price back into bearish territory. From a technical point of view, new bull moves are far away at the moment; before that, an make-or-break price level has to be defended and a resistance level that has manifested itself since the beginning of March has to be broken.

Shiba Inu Price At Pivotal Point

But first things first. A look at the 1-day chart of Shiba Inu shows that the price has fallen to the edge of the key support level. At press time, SHIB was trading at $0.00001021, slightly above key support at $0.00001005.

As recently as early last week, a bullish picture was evolving for Shiba Inu. The price formed an ascending triangle on the 1-day chart, which is one of the continuation patterns and thus opened the chance for a more than 50% rise within the next weeks.

However, due to the market-wide downturn, SHIB broke the ascending triangle to the downside. The pattern was invalidated, so that the Shiba Inu price is now stuck again in the range between $0.00001005 and $0.00001151.

If the bulls fail to defend the range, a fall to $0.00000965 would be the most likely scenario before SHIB could possibly drop to the price level at $0.00000855. A breakdown below the trading range would be a clear break with the trend.

Holding the support is of utmost importance to start a new run towards the range high at $0.00001155.

A look at the 1-hour chart reveals that SHIB is showing slight signs of recovery. The price has initially formed a falling trend line which was broken at press time. This was followed by a re-test that is currently underway. SHIB now needs to show a significant move to the upside; at best a bounce and break above the $0.00001080 price level.

While the latest IMF forecasts were mostly lost in the din surrounding the start of earnings season, besides the now standard cuts to global growth forecasts, there was one standout item.

As the National Bank of Canada points out, the IMFs projections forecast US net debt to rise from 95% of GDP in 2023 to 110% by 2028, which actually is a conservative estimate when comparing a similar, if even more concerning longer-term forecast from the Congressional Budget Office, which effectively projects hyperinflation.

When I pitch Bitcoin to a relative, to a friend or to a complete stranger in the bathroom stall next to me, they will inevitably ask, "How is this benefiting you? Are you going to make money from me buying bitcoin?"

In one sense, the honest answer is yes, but my main objective is actually to alleviate suffering.

Will any single investor buying bitcoin make my bitcoin increase in value? Not unless I'm convincing a hyper-rich communist sympathizer like Charlie Munger to hop onboard. The average investor buying $1,000-worth of BTC is not going to change the price of bitcoin. In fact, even a very wealthy investor allocating $100 million may not significantly change the price of bitcoin. In that sense, I am not benefiting directly from convincing individuals to buy bitcoin at all.

However, given the early stage of adoption that we are currently experiencing, the asymmetric upside of investing in bitcoin today has the potential to turn a relatively-small investment into life-changing financial security. For this reason, the motivation to pitch Bitcoin to people I care about is greater now than it will be in the future. The potential future which Bitcoin enables for myself and for society is the primary driving force behind my participation in the network. The prospect of living in a world of abundance, voluntary behavior and geopolitical cooperation is becoming more achievable by the block. Bulgaria, a small country located in Southeast Europe, nestled between Romania and Greece, is set to become one of the wealthiest countries in the world.

The reason for this is its possession of 213,000 bitcoin, which its authorities seized from a group they labeled as criminals in 2017. According to the South East European Law Enforcement Center (SELC), the group hacked the Bulgarian customs agencys computers and made changes to the system so that their partner companies could import goods while avoiding paying taxes on them.

Immediately following the crackdown, the bitcoin seized was worth about $500,000, however, it would now be worth closer to $6 billion dollars, as of April 2023. While the details around the BTC seizure are unclear, and it is not totally clear whether the country still holds that bitcoin or what it plans to do with the stack if it does, the potential of a nation like Bulgaria holding this much BTC is worth exploring.

As the value of bitcoin is, in the view of many, set to go up a lot higher still in the coming years, Bulgaria could stand to become very wealthy.

The Rising Price Of Bulgarias Bitcoin

While the future price of bitcoin is impossible to predict, there are some prominent examples of experts explaining why they are confident Bulgarias bitcoin holdings will grow exponentially in value.

Jesse Meyers, the COO of Onramp Bitcoin who holds an MBA from Stanford University, has predicted that the bitcoin price will hit $10 million in the coming decades. Ark Invest CEO Cathie Wood has predicted bitcoin will reach $1 million by 2030 in a bullish scenario. Bitcoin on-chain data hints that selling from the miners may have been behind the latest plunge in the assets price below the $28,000 mark.

Bitcoin Miners Have Shown Signs Of Selling Recently

As pointed out by an analyst in a CryptoQuant post, miners had been putting on some selling pressure on Bitcoin while the decline had happened. A relevant indicator here is the miner netflow, which measures the net amount of Bitcoin entering into or exiting the wallets of all miners.

When this metric has a positive value, it means a net number of coins is being transferred into the wallets of miners right now. Such a trend implies that these chain validators are accumulating currently, which is naturally something that could be bullish for the price.

On the other hand, negative values suggest miners are transferring some BTC out of their holdings at the moment. Usually, miners transfer out their coins whenever they want to sell them. Hence, negative netflow values can have bearish consequences for the asset.

Now, here is a chart that shows the trend in the 30-day simple moving average (SMA) Bitcoin miner netflow over the past week or so:

As displayed in the above graph, the 30-day SMA Bitcoin miner netflow registered a very sharp red spike when the cryptocurrencys price was in the middle of its decline a few days ago.

BTC was just above $28,000 when this spike came, but the asset rapidly plummeted to the low $27,000 level following it. The timing of these large net outflows taking place from the miners may be a sign that it was this cohorts selling that at least partially contributed to the coins drawdown.

Investors should be cautious of a bearish breakthrough on $0.2847 as it could bring the token back $0.1471. However, the bearish scenario might turn into a reality as CoinGlass data points to a robust bearish presence in the market. 

ARB 

As of writing, ARB is down nearly 21% in the same timeframe. Investors on the token are closely following the sentiment around Bitcoin and Ethereum, and with the two biggest cryptos experiencing pain, ARB is experiencing a magnified bearish sentiment. 

Investors and traders on ARB should be cautious about putting more money on the token. At press time, ARBs current trajectory puts it on the path back toward $1.1930. If this comes to fruition, ARB bulls are left to defend this crucial support.

Right after dinner, while my girlfriend was getting dessert, her brother proposed to his girlfriend. I was mad because he hijacked my girlfriends event that she worked so hard for.

Before she could answer I told him to sit down and quit being so rude and disrespectful to his sister. He was mad, but his girlfriend looked so embarrassed.

The brother and his not-quite-future-wife left early, hes mad, the mother-in-law is mad, and the girlfriend said maybe he should have just let it go.

The party was very awkward after that. A lot of people left early. My girlfriends mom was furious at me, because she wanted her son to stop living in sin and I ruined it.

BUFFALO, N.Y. The entire crowd at last nights A Day to Remember concert once again gave off the overpowering stench of hockey pads, nauseated sources confirmed after taking multiple showers and burning their clothes.

I showed up with my entire roller hockey team and it looked like all of the other teams from our rec league were there, too, noted A Day to Remember fan Larry McDuffy while playing NHL 23 and drinking a mid-morning Budweiser. I guess we shouldve hit the showers after our game, cuz it was pretty fuckin rancid. You know how sometimes security will spray the crowd with water at a festival if its really hot out? They were doing that to us, but they were dousing us with Axe Body Spray and Febreze.

Although last nights crowd was particularly ripe, members of the band state that their fans typically show up clad in the local NHL teams jersey and emitting the corresponding funk of sweat-drenched goalie pads from Dicks Sporting Goods.

Our fans are amazing. They love flannel, beards, gang vocals, and they smell like absolute shit, confirmed lead vocalist Jeremy McKinnon. The fumes can get pretty intense during the shows, but I can live with that. Our roadies carry smelling salts on them in case we lose consciousness up there. But, to be honest, I wish our groupies didnt always smell like they just spent two minutes in the penalty box for cross-checking.

Loopring (LRC) prices remain under pressure, dropping roughly 20% days after announcing the launch of non-fungible token (NFT) Red Packet 2.0.

Loopring Announces Red Packet 2.0

Loopring, a layer-2 decentralized exchange using zkRollups on Ethereum allowing traders to exchange assets, said NFT Red Packet 2.0, currently available on their Loopring Smart Wallet and the web app, let users transfer ERC-20 tokens and NFTs adapted to the ERC-1155 standard. 

Unlike the popular ERC-721 standard for building NFTs, the semi-fungible tokens and ordinary NFTs. 

Loopring developers started building Red Packets in 2021. However, developers expanded on traditional Red Packets creation when they also announced Blind Red Packets on April 20. 

Using this solution, users can only unveil the content of the packet after a given period. 

Supporters claim Red Packets will change the economics of NFTs and drive mainstream adoption while opening up more possibilities, especially in gaming, ticketing, and more, primarily because of the cost involved.

Unlike transacting on the Ethereum mainnet, using layer-2 platforms for trading or asset transfer is relatively cheap. 

Users can securely send assets, including tokens and NFTs, off-chain while avoiding the high fees. However, they still are secured by the Ethereum mainnet.

As an illustration, users on the mainnet have to pay $43.83 when writing on April 23. Meanwhile, based on L2Fees data, sending ETH on Loopring costs $0.06. 

Because of this allowance, users can pack thousands of NFTs on Looprings Blind Red Packets and gift them to users without having to pay high fees. It is an addition that the Loopring community has positively received, but that has not prevented prices from edging lower, as visible in the daily chart.

LRC Drops 20% In 5 Days

LRC is trading at $0.338, down 20% from April highs, and is underperforming Bitcoin and Ethereum in the past 24 hours. 

Notably, prices broke lower on April 19 before they were confirmed on April 20 and in the second half of last week. 

When writing, prices are stable but remain within a bearish formation, having reversed all losses posted on April 14. On this day, Loopring revealed that more than 200,000 unique addresses were using its platform.

After a decent increase, Cardanos price faced resistance near the $0.460 zone. The price faced an increase in selling pressure and started a fresh decline below $0.420, similar to Bitcoin and Ethereum.

There was a clear move below the $0.40 support zone. Besides, there was a break below a key bullish trend line with support near $0.4150 on the 4-hour chart of the ADA/USD pair. The pair even tested the $0.380 support zone.

A low is formed near $0.3803 and the price is now consolidating losses. It is trading below $0.400 and the 100 simple moving average (4 hours). On the upside, immediate resistance is near the $0.400 zone. It is near the 23.6% Fib retracement level of the main decline from the $0.4616 swing high to the 0.3803 low.

The next major resistance is forming near the $0.410 zone or the 100 simple moving average (4 hours). If there is an upside break above the $0.400 and $0.410 resistance levels, the price could start a decent increase.

Major altcoins also struggled to surpass their resistance levels as Bitcoin corrected itself. MATIC is currently stable on its local support line, but it broke two crucial price floors, suggesting that bears could dominate upcoming trading sessions.

A further round of bearish pressure could cause bears to take over entirely, causing MATIC to fall through its local support line. On the daily chart, the altcoins market capitalization indicated a negative change, implying that sellers were taking control.

MATIC Price Analysis: One-Day Chart

The altcoin had struggled to maintain its value above $1 and dropped to $0.98. I think that one of the things most humans spend a lifetime figuring out is how to successfully navigate relationships with other humans. Whether theyre family, friends, romantic, or otherwise, it can be tough knowing the correct way to respond in so many different scenarios.

This woman, who has a nanny due to state assistance for her autistic daughter, is struggling with how to handle unexpected money issues.

Her daughter and nanny share a love for thrifting, and as her daughter also loves old Star Trek books, the two of them often pick up cheap old paperbacks while out on their adventures.

My daughter, Ruby, is 12. Recently, she has gotten into the original Star Trek show, as well as the Next Generation. Ruby is also a big reader and has started to collect a few of the old Star Trek books that she finds in used bookstores and thrift stores. These books usually cost anywhere from 50 cents to a couple of dollars.

My nanny, Tessa (f22), hangs out with Ruby most days after she gets out of school. Tessa has been our nanny for over a year now and she and Ruby get along great. Tessa is big into to thrifting and will often keep an eye out for the books Ruby wants. This is not typically a problem and Ruby always pays Tessa back for the books using her allowance.

Food is a profoundly effective means of affecting your overall health and cruciferous vegetables have long been cherished for their health benefits. Among those are broccoli, cabbage, collards, Brussels sprouts and cauliflower. One of the most well-known compounds in cruciferous vegetables is sulforaphane, which is an organic sulfur that supports normal cell function and division.

A 2023 study¹ published in Laboratory Investigation by Penn State University scientists² finds that broccoli's health benefits may also extend to protecting the integrity of the gut lining. This important discovery adds to research that demonstrates how to protect your gut health, since a considerable portion of your immune system resides in the gastrointestinal tract.³

As such, optimizing your gut microbiome and protecting your gut integrity is a worthwhile pursuit that has far-reaching effects on physical and mental health. Mounting evidence also suggests that by keeping harmful microbes in the gut in check, protecting health-promoting gut bacteria and protecting the lining of your intestines, you help to shore up your protection against chronic disease.

Animal Model Demonstrates Broccoli Protects Gut Integrity

In the February 2023 study,⁴ researchers presented evidence that supported the role of the aryl hydrocarbon receptor in building intestinal resilience. Using an animal model, they found that broccoli contains molecules that attach to the receptor and safeguard the intestinal lining. Researcher Gary Perdew said:⁵

We all know that broccoli is good for us, but why? What happens in the body when we eat broccoli? Our research is helping to uncover the mechanisms for how broccoli and other foods benefit health in mice and likely humans, as well. It provides strong evidence that cruciferous vegetables, such as broccoli, cabbage, and Brussels sprouts should be part of a normal healthy diet.

The researchers fed an experimental group of mice a diet that was equal to a human eating roughly 3.5 cups of broccoli each day. The control group received a typical lab diet without broccoli. Examination of the intestinal tissue showed the mice who were fed a lab diet without broccoli had minimal AHR activity.

During the 14th century, the Aztecs and Maya even used cacao beans as currency. Modern research has also revealed chocolate has significant health benefits provided you're willing to give up the now-familiar sweetness of modern day milk chocolate.

Its cacao content which is bitter, not sweet the amount of sugar added, and the processing chocolate undergoes, makes a huge difference in terms of whether it has any health benefits.

Raw cacao gets its bitter taste from the polyphenols present, and these plant compounds are also responsible for most of the health benefits associated with dark chocolate. Milk chocolate, on the other hand, has few, if any, redeeming qualities, as it is loaded with sugar, containing very low amounts of flavonol-rich cacao.

Cocoa Contains Hundreds of Health-Promoting Chemicals

The cacao bean contains hundreds of naturally occurring compounds with known health benefits, including epicatechin (a flavonoid) and resveratrol, the former of which has both antioxidant and anti-inflammatory properties, and is thought to help shield your nerve cells from damage.

Norman Hollenberg, a professor of medicine at Harvard who has spent years studying the Kuna people of Panama who consume up to 40 cups of cocoa a week, believes epicatechin is so important it should be considered a vitamin.²

Youve likely heard about the many benefits of omega-3 fats for your heart, brain and more, but if youre consuming it in supplement form, be sure its alongside phospholipids. Wild-caught salmon, sardines and certain other fish are excellent sources of the omega-3 fats eicosapentaenoic acid (EPA) and docosahexaenoic acid (DHA).¹

However, because most Americans do not consume much seafood, many rely on fish oil supplements instead. This is a mistake for virtually anyone who makes this choice. This is because the chemical process used to make most of these products trans-esterification transforms the oil into a synthetic product thats far removed from the natural fats youd get when eating sardines or other fatty fish.²

There are many issues with synthetic fish oil, and absorption is only one of them. Free fatty acids of fish oil have an absorption rate of at least 95%. EPA in its natural triglyceride form had a 68% absorption rate in one study, while ethyl ester forms the type found in nearly all fish oil supplements absorbed only about 20% as well as the free fatty acids.³

Unlike krill oil a superior source of omega-3 fats fish oil lacks any phospholipids. Research is now confirming just how important the phospholipid component is when it comes to gleaning all the benefits you can from your omega-3 fats.

Phospholipid Form of Omega-3 Helps Prevent Visual Decline

Recent studies show a new lysophospholipid form of DHA (LPC-DHA) shows promise for preventing the visual decline that often occurs alongside chronic diseases like Alzheimers and diabetes, according to a study presented at the 2023 annual meeting of the American Society for Biochemistry and Molecular Biology.⁴ While the DHA in most fish oil supplements cannot reach the retina, where DHA concentrates, LPC-DHA crosses into the retina from the bloodstream.

Increasing the retinal DHA at clinically feasible doses has not been possible until now because of the specificity of the blood-retinal barrier that is incompatible with the specificity of the intestinal barrier, study author Sugasini Dhavamani explained. This study uses the novel approach of dietary LPC-DHA that overcomes both intestinal and blood-retinal barriers and improves retinal function.⁵

With the Anzac Day public holiday scheduled for Tuesday, Australian employees who forgot to book in Monday as a day off have spent the weekend working on their best sick voice in preparation for their morning call to the boss.

The Brooklyn Public Library hosts the annual event at its Central location in Prospect Parks Grand Army Plaza. This year, it will take place on Sunday, April 30, the night before Anna Wintours star-studded event. The Peoples Ball also highlights fashion and features the full celebrity experience a red carpet, professional photography, and a visual feast of glamorous outfits. But unlike the Met Gala (which can cost around $30,000 for a ticket and $275,000 for a table), the Peoples Ball is completely free and no invitation is required.

Well, now that we can go out and about for the most part again, one TikToker is bringing Animal Crossing IRL with the aim of traveling around the world to chronicle all 43 artworks in fox-y art dealer Jolly Redds inventory.

London-based filmmaker and gamer Mayuren Naidoo (@mayplaystv) documented his global trek to 26 museums across 9 countries to visit all of the work featured in Animal Crossing: New Horizons in a TikTok series titled animal crossing art irl. Unlike the majority of forged works in Jolly Redds trove, all of these were the real deal (as far as we know ). Of the 43 pieces in the game, Naidoo has seen 36 so far.
