Breaking: The FDA Creates a Path for Psychedelic Drug Trials "IndyWatch Feed Allcommunity"

The Food and Drug Administration (FDA) recently released first-ever draft guidance, making way for psychedelic drug trials. This ground-breaking move may facilitate the mainstream acceptance of substances such as magic mushrooms and LSD as potential treatments for behavioral health conditions.

The Significance of the FDAs New Move

The ramifications of this development are far-reaching. Psychedelics are now on the cusp of becoming a multi-billion-dollar industry and gaining widespread acceptance after years of apprehension due to recreational use of these substances, coupled with their high risk of misuse.

Yet, the bulk of research conducted to date has been primarily backed by private sponsors. This scenario may change with the FDAs novel initiative, bringing the promising potential of these substances into the limelight.

The FDAs Decision in Detail

The FDAs decision, outlined in a 14-page document, proposes guidelines on conducting trials, collecting data, and ensuring subject safety for researchers exploring psychedelic treatments for various conditions. These range from PTSD, depression, and anxiety, to a variety of other mental health disorders.

This guidance came hot on the heels of the introduction of new legislation by a bipartisan coalition in Congress, led by Rep. Dan Crenshaw (R-Texas), which directed the issuance of clinical trial guidelines. The legislation, House Bill 4242, represents an important step in establishing regulatory frameworks for psychedelic research.

The Largest Psychedelic Conference in History

Interestingly, the FDAs announcement coincided with the largest psychedelic conference in history held in Denver. This conference saw participation from a wide spectrum of attendees, from New York Jets quarterback Aaron Rodgers to National Institute of Mental Health director Joshua Gordon, indicating the growing interest in this field.

Photographer Captures Hunting Prowess of Bald Eagles Catching Fish and Eating It in Mid-Air "IndyWatch Feed Allcommunity"

Photographer Captures Hunting Prowess of Bald Eagles Catching Fish and Eating It in Mid-Air

Bald Eagle by Mark Smith Photography

Bald eagles are impressive animals. As one of the largest raptors in the world, they can have a wingspan of up to 8 feet. Expert hunters, they live near water to have a constant supply of fish, turtles, ducks, and snakes. And when they spot a tasty snack, they can swoop down at up to 100 miles per hour and pluck their prey from the water. It sounds incredible on paper, but the visual is even better.

Thankfully, Mark Smith is an expert at capturing video of the precise moment when bald eagles strike. His recordings, which he posts to his popular Instagram, pay homage to the power and glory of this bird, which has been a symbol of America since the 18th century. In one clip, the bald eagle flies down with determination and, after it's gotten the fish in its talons, swallows it whole while in mid-air.

As Smith frequents an area where a large bald eagle population is present, he notes that they are often competing for food. This most likely accounts for why the eagle wasn't taking any chances with its catch. They often have to eat on the wing in order to avoid theft or confrontation, he tells My Modern Met.

In another video, the eagle leisurely glides sideways to the surface of the water. The large fish it ultimately grabs is helpless as the eagle flies off into the sky with it tightly clutched between its talons. And while their dives into the water are impressive, this isn't the only way that eagles hunt.

Smith was able to capture a video of a bald eagle slowly making its way across a bed of oysters to snatch a fish with its beak. As it stalked its prey, the bird's gaze intensified. Only once the fish was in its mouth did the raptor take in its surrounding, even looking right at the camera.

For Smith, the opportunity to see these moments is priceless. Thankfully, he's happy to share his work so that everyone can appreciate the power and grace of these raptors.

Binance Rescinds Decision To Remove Privacy Coins From European Market "IndyWatch Feed Allcommunity"

Binance has made a decision to reverse its initial plan of delisting certain privacy coins in Europe. This change in course comes after the exchange revised its operations to align with the local regulatory requirements.

According to the developers of Verge (XVG) and Secret (SCRT) cryptocurrencies, a significant outcome was achieved. Seven privacy-focused tokens were stopped from being de-listed. These tokens, which were at risk of being removed from the listings, have been successfully retained.

A comment received from the cryptocurrency exchange on June 26 states:

After carefully considering feedback from our community and several projects, we have revised how we classify privacy coins on our platform to comply with EU-wide regulatory requirements.

The crypto exchange also mentioned that due to its status as a registered exchange in multiple European Union jurisdictions, it is obligated to comply with local regulations.

These regulations mandate that exchanges have the capability to monitor transactions involving the coins listed on their platform.

In May, Binance communicated via email to its customers in France, Italy, Spain, and Poland regarding changes to its services. The message outlined the discontinuation of trading services for 12 cryptocurrencies known for enabling anonymous transactions.

Prominent privacy coins such as Monero, Dash, and Zcash were among those affected. Additionally, lesser-known tokens like XVG and SCRT were also scheduled for delisting from the exchanges offerings.

Following the retraction of the decision to delist privacy-focused tokens, several projects have utilized Twitter as a platform to provide reassurance to their community members.

Binance Complies As EU Sets Standards For Digital Assets

The decision to delist privacy-focused tokens came as a response to the European Unions implementation of the Markets in Crypto Assets (MiCA) regulation.

This regulation includes the travel rule for crypto transactions, which requires enhanced transparency and information sharing. Consequently, there is a potential risk for firms facilitating the trading of privacy coins to be non-compliant with EU law.

EU policymakers have established clear regulations with the goal of positioning Europe as a leading h...

Brilliant Sculptural Stories Unfold From Carefully Crafted Pages of Books

Book Sculptures by Emma Taylor

Usually, when we read, the story comes alive in our heads. UK-based artist Emma Taylor takes this experience to a new level in her incredible book sculptures. Using discarded texts, she crafts three-dimensional animals and objects from the pages. From ships that sprout from antique atlases to insects flying from animal guides, these carefully-modeled sculptures playfully interact with their original source.

Taylor spends countless hours finding materials for her art. In particular, upcycling old or abandoned books (typically from the early 20th century) is an integral part of her practice. In my work, I give new life to old books by creating intricate sculptures which appear to emerge directly from the paper pages, Taylor explains to My Modern Met. The often minute details I create draw the viewer into each sculpture, as fine strips of text are transformed into rigging on a seafaring galleon, printed words become individual feathers shaping a birds wing or singular letters form the bricks of grand buildings.

For Taylor, choosing the right book comes down to instinct. She says that certain texts inspire her immediately, while in other cases, she sometimes has to seek out a specific book for an idea she already has in mind. Nature is an endless source of inspiration for me with trees in particular being a recurrent theme, she adds. Each tree I make references the origin of the paper itself as I transform the paper pages back into trunks and branches; also connecting the wisdom of ancient trees to the wisdom contained within many books.

Scroll down to see some of Taylors fantastic book sculptures and check out more from her growing portfolio on her website.

Major Breakthrough: How Botox enters brain cells, a discovery that could save lives "IndyWatch Feed Allcommunity"

A groundbreaking study led by distinguished researchers from the University of Queensland has unveiled new insights about the complex mechanism through which Botox infiltrates brain cells. The profound findings, published in The EMBO Journal, are set to have a substantial impact on the medical and cosmetic industries and potentially pioneer new treatments for botulism.

Botox: A Multifaceted Tool from Bacterial Origins to Beauty Regimes

The team spearheaded by Professor Frederic Meunier and Dr. Merja Joensuu from the Queensland Brain Institute at the University of Queensland, successfully pinpointed the specific molecular pathway through which the botulinum neurotoxin type-A, popularly known as Botox, infiltrates neurons.

A compound released by the bacterium Clostridium botulinum, Botox has a long and intriguing history. Its initial medical application was in the treatment of strabismus, a condition characterized by misalignment of the eyes. Over time, its therapeutic applications expanded to include treatments for spasms, migraines, and even excessive sweating as documented by the Mayo Clinic and Hopkins Medicine.

Interestingly, Botoxs most widely recognized use today is in the cosmetic industry, where its employed to smooth wrinkles and rejuvenate the skin. However, the benefits of Botox go beyond the aesthetic realm. When deployed medically, Botox injections can provide various health benefits, such as:

  • Alleviating chronic migraines: Regular Botox treatments can decrease the frequency of migraine attacks.
  • Reducing hyperhidrosis: Botox can be used to manage excessive sweating.
  • Treating muscle spasticity: Botox injections can relax muscles and improve mobility.
  • Managing eye conditions: Early use of Botox was to address strabismus and blepharospasm (abnormal contraction of the eyelid muscles).
  • Reducing overactive bladder symptoms: Botox has shown positive results in controlling urinary incontinence.

However, despite its numerous benefits, its critical to note that when botulinum toxin is released in large quantities by the bacterium Clostridium botulinum, it can cause the potentially lethal disease botulism.

MicroBT Brings ASIC Manufacturing To America In Partnership With Riot Platforms "IndyWatch Feed Allcommunity"

Riot Platforms, the largest public U.S. Bitcoin mining company in terms of developed capacity, has made a groundbreaking announcement regarding a partnership with Bitcoin ASIC manufacturer, MicroBT. The two major bitcoin companies will bring the production of MicroBTs ASICs to America. The collaboration aims to secure miners for Riot's Corsicana facility, significantly boosting the company's mining capabilities. According to a press release shared with Bitcoin Magazine, this development comes as Riot's Corsicana facility is set to increase the company's developed capacity to 1.6 GW.

This agreement directly repudiates every major criticism of our industry, the press release stated. For those concerned about our energy consumption, these machines will be more efficient than ever For those who say Bitcoin mining data centers do not actually create jobs, we are helping to create hundreds of jobs, between the MicroBT manufacturing facility in Pennsylvania, and our state of the art data center coming to Corsicana, Texas.

One of the key highlights of this partnership is the expected increase in Riot's self-mining hash rate capacity. The press release states that by mid-2024, upon the full installation of the machines from this order, Riot's self-mining hash rate capacity is projected to surge by approximately 61% to over 20 EH/s. This significant boost in capacity further establishes Riot's position as a leading player in the Bitcoin mining industry.

Moreover, this partnership between Riot and MicroBT also marks a pivotal moment for the industry. Bitcoin miner manufacturing has traditionally been concentrated in Asia, but this new partnership with Riot strengthens the domestic supply chain in the United States. It expands the options available to Bitcoin miners, offering them a robust selection of machines.

Importantly, the collaboration between Riot and MicroBT will not only have a positive impact on the industry but also on local job creation. The machines will be manufactured by MicroBT at a new facility in the United States, generating employment opportunities in the local area.

Riot's partnership with MicroBT signifies a major milestone within the Bitcoin mining industry. With the increased hash rate, domestic manufacturing and job creation, this collaboration is set to shape the future of Bitcoin mining in the United States and contribute to the growth of the industry as a whole.

Pepe Surge: Trading Volume Outshines SHIB And DOGE Will This Trend Continue? "IndyWatch Feed Allcommunity"

Pepe (PEPE) has experienced a surge in trading volume within the last 24 hours, surpassing both Shiba Inu (SHIB) and Dogecoin (DOGE).

PEPE Defies Expectations with Remarkable Trading Volume Amidst Market Volatility

Despite a minor 5.8% decrease in its price, Pepes trading volume reached an astounding $281.3 million during the last 24 hours.

The market capitalization of this meme-inspired digital asset currently stands at $631 million. In contrast to the more widely recognized meme cryptocurrencies, Shiba Inu, Pepes trading volume surpassed expectations.

Amidst a significant surge in the value of Bitcoin (BTC) and various alternative cryptocurrencies, PEPE is emerging as the frontrunner within its specific market segment.

As of the time of writing, PEPECOIN has experienced a spike of 38.29%, outpacing its counterparts in terms of growth rate.

PEPECOIN Emerges Victorious, Surpassing Dogecoin, And Shiba Inu

Before the recent resurgence that swept across the entire cryptocurrency industry, PEPECOIN had faced disillusionment from traders who deemed it a digital currency that had lost momentum. On June 22, the cryptocurrency was trading at a spot price of $0.000001425, a level driven by the substantial growth in trading volume observed over the past 24 hours.

PEPE price chart from TradingView.com

CoinMarketCap data reveals a staggering $687 million market capitalization of PEPE tokens, reflecting a 253% surge within the 24-hour timeframe.

Dogecoin fell behind Pepes performance with a 24-hour trading volume of $189.2 million and a market capitalization of $9.3 billion. Similarly, Shiba Inu trailed behind Pepe with a 24-hour trading volume of $103 million and a market cap of $4.6 billion.

This development underlines the dynamic nature of meme cryptocurrencies, where Pepes recent surge signifies its growing prominence within the market.

Pepes remarkable ascent coincides with a week of gains across the cryptocurrency market as a whole. Bitcoin (BTC) and Ethereum (ETH), the two most valuable cryptocurrencies by market capitalization, had price rises of 14.2% and 8.8%, respectively, in the previous week. Bitcoin boasts a 24-hour trading volume of $11.9 billion, while Ethereums volume is $6.8 billion.

Sweden Examines Health Outcomes for Older Adults with Autism "IndyWatch Feed Allcommunity"

Study Shows Group Is at Higher Risk of Bodily Injuries, Heart Failure, Cystitis, Glucose Dysregulation, Iron Deficiency, Poisoning, and Self-Harm

The health outcomes of older adults with autism (45 years) have been sparsely studied over the years, leading to a lack of knowledge about the impact of intellectual disability and gender on the overall health patterns of this vulnerable population. However, recent research conducted in Sweden sought to fill this gap in knowledge. A research team conducted a longitudinal, retrospective, population-based cohort study of the Swedish population born between Jan 1, 1932, and Dec 31, 1967, to investigate the association between autism and physical health conditions in older adults. Using linked data from the nationwide Total Population Register and the National Patient Register, the authors investigated the association between autism and various physical health conditions in older adults, considering intellectual disability and gender. They discovered that older adults with autism had higher cumulative incidence and hazard ratios of physical conditions and injuries than their non-autistic counterparts. Specifically, they were at an increased risk of bodily injuries, heart failure, cystitis, glucose dysregulation or dysglycemia, iron deficiency or anemia, poisoning, and self-harm. These risks were observed regardless of intellectual disability or gender. The authors conclude that their findings highlight the importance of collaborative efforts from researchers and health service policymakers to provide older individuals with autism the necessary support to attain healthy longevity and high quality of life.

Sweet food and beverages are undeniably attractive, thanks to our brains inbuilt mechanisms that respond to their palatability with a surge of dopamine, a neurotransmitter that signals pleasure. This neural response, however, can lead to consequences beyond temporary bliss, particularly in the form of blood sugar spikes that come with a plethora of negative effects.

Alarmingly, such phenomena are not as uncommon as one might presume; research shows that a whopping 88% of people experience high blood sugar spikes, according to American Diabetes Association. A single spike in blood sugar post a meal can exacerbate oxidative stress and trigger inflammation. Over time, the incessant cycle of glucose peaks and troughs could pave the way for conditions like insulin resistance, stubborn weight gain, and even chronic illnesses like diabetes and heart disease.

While the ill-effects of sugar spikes are well-known, recognizing its signs might be tricky. Here, we will delve into seven common indicators of dysregulated glucose levels and provide comprehensive solutions to mitigate them.

Recognizing Blood Sugar Spikes: Seven Telltale Signs

  1. Feeling Hungry Soon After Eating: If hunger pangs strike within 90 minutes to two hours post your meal, its likely you experienced a blood sugar spike. The rapid plunge in glucose levels after a steep rise triggers the release of the hunger hormone, ghrelin, signaling the need to eat again.
  2. Cravings for Sweet Foods: A...

Vitamin D Supplementation During the First 2 Years of Life Decreased the Risk of Psychiatric Problems in Later Childhood "IndyWatch Feed Allcommunity"

High-Dose (1200 IU) vs. Standard-Dose (400 IU) until Age 2 Showed Less Internalizing Behaviors at Ages 6 to 8

A recent international investigation has examined the potential effects of high-dose vitamin D3 supplementation on psychiatric symptoms in healthy infants up to the age of 2 years. The study found that children who received a daily 1200-IU oral vitamin D3 supplement had a lower prevalence of clinically significant internalizing behaviors (e.g., symptoms of depression, loneliness, and anxiety) than those who received the standard recommended dose of 400 IU. Interestingly, the authors did not find any differences in externalizing behaviors (e.g., oppositional defiance disorder, conduct disorder, and antisocial personality disorder) between the two groups. The study also found that children from the 400-IU group with maternal 25(OH)D levels less than 30 ng/mL during pregnancy had significantly higher internalizing problem scores than children from the 1200-IU group, regardless of maternal 25(OH)D status. While previous studies have suggested that higher 25(OH)D levels during fetal life and early childhood may lower the risk of childhood psychopathology, this is the first randomized controlled trial to assess the potential impact of high-dose vitamin D3 supplementation in healthy infants and up to the age of 2 years on psychiatric symptoms during late preschool and early school age. The authors recommend that their findings be interpreted in context with outcomes related to childrens health related to growth patterns and allergies since lower doses of vitamin D3 were found to be more beneficial during infancy for those conditions.

First Major World Politician Apologizes To the Unvaccinated: You Were Right, We Were Wrong "IndyWatch Feed Allcommunity"

Danielle Smith, the premier of Alberta, Canada, is the first major elected politician in the world to issue a heartfelt apology to the unvaccinated for crimes perpetrated against their human rights by the government during Covid lockdowns.
Given that we now understand Covid vaccines do not stop transmission of the virus, and have caused millions of sudden deaths in young, healthy people, Premier Smith was asked if she would apologize on behalf of the state of Alberta for the governments authoritarian treatment of the unvaccinated. She replied:
I can apologize right now. Im deeply sorry, she said, for anyone who was inappropriately subjected to discrimination as a result of their vaccine status, Im deeply sorry. For any government employee that was fired from their job, because of their vaccine status, and I welcome them back if they want to come back. Jimmy Dore was stunned by the apology and covered it at length on his show. Watch: https://youtu.be/wbWHU-9opIs Even more amazing than the heartfelt apology, Premier Smith said she was seriously considering granting a legal amnesty to any Albertans charged with lockdown offenses. Overly Grand Manners: Volker Hermes Exaggerates Historical Portraits with Ostentatious Absurdity "IndyWatch Feed Allcommunity"

Hidden Pickenoy II (2023). All images Volker Hermes, shared with permission

Throughout 17th and 18th centuries, Europes upper classes entered an era of unprecedented prosperity due to exploding commerce and trade. The wealthy sought to express their status, and portraiture, which had previously been exclusive to royalty, became the perfect indicator of social rank. In England, these paintings became known as Grand Manner works, and the Dutch school counted well-known names like Rembrandt van Rijn, Johannes Vermeer, and Frans Hals among its cohort, still captivating us today at sellout exhibitions. For German artist Volker Hermes, this era of art history provides an endless source of inspiration.

Digital photocollages (previously) playfully reimagine the original sitters in Hermes ongoing Hidden Portraits series. Originally depicted by the likes of Dutch painter Nicolaes Pickenoy or French baroque artist Georges de La Tour, the subjects in Hermes iterations are overwhelmed by their own garments to the point of absurdity. What In The World Is Happening In Russia? "IndyWatch Feed Allcommunity"

This article was originally published by Michael Snyder at The Economic Collapse Blog.

The entire world has been stunned by the events of the past 48 hours.  The leader of the Wagner Group, Yevgeny Prigozhin, was leading a convoy of heavily-armed troops to Moscow, and the mainstream media in the Western world was salivating over the prospect of a Russian civil war.

The regime change in Russia that Western leaders have desperately been hoping for seemed like a realistic possibility, and that sparked a frenzy of speculation on social media.  But just like that, it was over.  All of a sudden Prigozhin was heading into exile in Belarus, and we were told that his troops would be heading back to the front lines in Ukraine.

So why was there such a dramatic turnaround?

I wish that I could tell you.  Just hours before the deal was announced, Prigozhin and his forces had seized a regional military headquarters in Rostov-on-Don

Within hours of a 400-vehicle convoy rolling onto Russian soil from Ukraine, Wagner troops seized control of Russias regional military HQ in Rostov-on-Don.

They rode heavy military machinery, tanks and trucks.

And at that time, Prigozhin was pledging that his forces would be going all the way

Prigozhin bragged his men believed to be better equipped than the Russian army did not need to fire a single shot as they took control of the HQ.

He said: The border guards greeted us and hugged our fighters. If anyone gets in our way, we will destroy everything. We are going all the way.

Of course that was never going to happen, and I think that Prigozhin understood this very well.

One well-placed tactical nuke could have taken out him and most of his troops.

But neither side wanted it to come to that.

So Prigozhin backed down, and this sudden reversal left analysts in the western world completely flummoxed

A loyal henchman slams the premise of the invasion, then claims an airstrike targeted his troops, before taking a major military town without clashes, Prigozhin said, and then marching to within a few hundred miles of Moscow. But suddenly he executes a baffling reversal, turning back to avoid bloodshed, as the Kremlin clai...

Lightning Network Hits Record Highs In Bitcoin And US Dollar Capacity "IndyWatch Feed Allcommunity"

The Lightning Network, Bitcoins Layer 2 payment protocol, has achieved a new landmark, reaching an all-time high in Bitcoin capacity, a pivotal move underscoring the networks continued growth and increased adoption.

The network, which works by locking Bitcoin in payment channels, witnessed a substantial boost, pushing its Bitcoin capacity to a record-high of more than 5,500 BTC for the first time since April, according to data from The Block.

This monumental achievement signifies not just the robust growth of the network, but also the increasing confidence in the Lightning Network as a viable payment protocol.

Surge In Bitcoin Network Capacity

According to The Block, this past Saturday, the Lightning Network attained an apex in capacity, hitting 5,630 BTC. This figure surpasses the prior peak of 5,620 BTC recorded on April 18. Concurrently, the networks US Dollar capacity also reached an all-time high, topping $172 million.

Related Reading: Nansen Forecast For Bitcoin Bull Run: Regulatory Clarity And Lower Inflation

The Block noted, as these numbers reveal, Lightning Networks capacity has grown significantly, increasing 42% in Bitcoin and 105% in US Dollar terms over the last 12 months. This considerable advancement is a testament to the ongoing acceptance and utilization of the Lightning Network in the crypto world.

The Future Of Lightning Network

David Marcus, CEO of enterprise-grade Lightning Network firm Lightspark, emphasized the importance of expanding the networks infrastructure and capacity.

Marcus said the reason for this was Particularly because we can actually guarantee that even larger payments succeed on Lightning, which in the past has been pretty hard to achieve.

Envisioning the future, Marcus explained that this development could enable any enterprise out there to access a real-time, super low-cost settlement network for the internet thats interoperable, thats open, that any developer can build on.

Notably, Marcus underscored the need for the greater exchange involved in the network, arguing that this would not only bolster Bitcoin mobility but also enhance the Lightning Network on and off-ramps. Moreover, the Lightning Networks success in Bitcoin a...

Pressing This Region Will Make You Sleep Quickly "IndyWatch Feed Allcommunity"

Are you familiar with those nights when sleep just wont come? Tossing and turning, feeling restless in bed? Well, youre in luck because todays video has the solution for you!

When it comes to improving your sleep, theres a simple and cost-effective technique called acupressure that can work wonders. Its a practice widely used in traditional Chinese medicine, not only to combat insomnia but also to relieve headaches, stress, and anxiety, helping you achieve that peaceful slumber you crave. And guess what? You can do it all by yourself, in the comfort of your own home!

All you need to do is locate the pressure points, apply gentle finger pressure, and voila! How amazing is that?!

One particular point to focus on is found on your forearm, nestled between the tendons and about three fingers away from your wrist. Simply apply gentle circular or up-and-down motions, massaging it for around five minutes before bedtime. This point is known to be effective in combating insomnia. Give it a try on your left wrist!

But wait, theres more! This point is also known to relieve numbness and tingling in the arms and hands caused by compressed nerves, and it can even assist with asthma. Pretty incredible, huh?!

Theres another point worth mentioning, located on your left arm just below the pinky finger, at the outer wrist crease. Give it some gentle pressure and massage it in circular or up-and-down motions for two to three minutes before hitting the hay.

Remember to alternate between these two points to maximize their effectiveness!

Now that youre armed with these techniques, youre well-prepared for those elusive nights of sleep. Put these tips into action on your next bedtime routine or, even better, be proactive and give them a try beforehand!

If youve made it this far, drop a comment with the word INSOMNIA!

And dont keep this valuable information to yourself. Share this tip with your friends and family! Wishing you a restful nights sleep!

BTC Prague And The Value Of In-Person Bitcoin "IndyWatch Feed Allcommunity"

This is an opinion editorial by Marek Feder, the editor in chief of Investro and a Bitcoin journalist who recently attended the BTC Prague event.

Lets start with a disclaimer: I am not associated with the organizers of BTC Prague in any way, so in this article, I only provide my personal experience and views as an attendee. And one more disclaimer: I have not been to many Bitcoin conferences, so my takes and impressions from BTC Prague might be old news for some of you. However, I do believe that it was the first huge Bitcoin conference not only for myself, but also for countless others from Central Europe, so it might be nice to sum up the whole experience.

A Conference Literally For Anyone

The fact that the cheapest ticket to BTC Prague was only 9 euro (about $11) means that this conference was literally for anyone. There were obviously some limitations to this access, but the cheapest ticket got people to the exposition area as well as to two stages, which was definitely well worth it. This was probably one of the nicest touches by the organizers, as they made this conference available for masses, even outside of Bitcoin.

This was further enhanced by the fact that the programming on the Czech Stage was entirely about Bitcoin basics. It contained talks about what money is; introductions to Bitcoin, privacy and self-custody; explanation of the differences between Bitcoin and Ethereum; and much more.

For two days, newcomers to the Bitcoin world could have listened to some of Bitcoins finest from the Czech Republic and Slovakia and receive educations equal to those gained from studying for hundreds of hours. I believe this highlights the importance of in-person conferences and affordable events that can help with orange pilling the mainstream.

Industry Day Rulez!

While the main conference presented on the Czech Stage and programming for Bitcoin beginners took part on June 9 and June 10, the industry day content focused on businesses started on June 8, and I believe this was the best day for making connections and new friends.

First of all, during the day, there were only two stages with talks and keynotes (the Czech Stage was not open at that time), meaning that there was less of an official program. This allowed people to spend more time in the well-thought-out and inspiring exposition area, where they could find dozens and dozens of companies and Bitcoin organizations. With more than 70 stalls and booths, attendees had a chance to talk to mining businesses, wallet providers, Bitcoin book shops, education organizations and countless other Bitcoin-related businesses.

And since the expo area was not as crowded on industry day, it provided the be...

Bitcoin Bullish Signal: Exchange Whale Ratio Plunges "IndyWatch Feed Allcommunity"

On-chain data shows that the Bitcoin exchange whale ratio has taken a plunge recently. Heres why this may be bullish for the assets price.

Bitcoin Exchange Whale Ratio Has Registered A Sharp Decline Recently

As pointed out by an analyst in a CryptoQuant post, the selling pressure in the market may be diminishing right now. The exchange whale ratio is an indicator that measures the ratio between the sum of the top ten Bitcoin transactions to exchanges and the total exchange inflow.

Generally, the 10 largest transactions to exchanges are coming from whale entities, so this metric can tell us how the inflows of these humongous holders compare with that of the entire market.

When the value of this ratio is high, it means that the whales are making up a large part of the total inflows currently. As one of the main reasons why investors deposit to exchanges is for selling-related purposes, this kind of trend can be a sign that this cohort may be taking part in mass dumping right now.

On the other hand, low values of the indicator imply the whales are contributing a relatively healthy portion toward the inflows at the moment. Since these large investors arent selling significantly more than the rest of the market during such periods, the price of the cryptocurrency can feel a bullish effect.

Now, here is a chart that shows the trend in the 72-hour simple moving average (SMA) Bitcoin exchange whale ratio over the past several months:

Bitcoin Exchange Whale Ratio

As displayed in the above graph, the 72-hour SMA Bitcoin exchange whale ratio has plummeted recently, implying that the whale deposits have dropped relative to the rest of the market.

Before this plunge, the indicator had been in an overall uptrend since March, suggesting that these humongous investors were possibly slowly ramping up their selling.

During the recent period when the assets price was struggling, the metric had surged to around 0.88, meaning that around 88% of the total exchange inflows were coming from this cohort alone.

Following the latest rapid decline, however, the 72-hour SMA Bitcoin exchange whale ratio has dropped to around 0.80. Interestingly, this drawdown in the indicator has come while the coin has seen a...

Leaked FDIC Video: We Cant Tell The Public Whats Actually Happening "IndyWatch Feed Allcommunity"

Ive been warning you that Bank Bail-Ins are coming Some people said I was crazy. Some people said it could never happen because accounts are FDIC insured. Well folks, for everyone who doubted you have to watch this. Its only 12 minutes long but its going to rock your world. Here is leaked video directly from an FDIC meeting where they admit two things   1 Bail-ins are not only possible but theyre very likely in the near future. 2 FDIC insurance is only solvent enough to cover just 1% of all bank deposits on record. Soif even just 2% of all depositors try to take their money out of the banks, the system is toast and FDIC insurance cannot cover even that much. Now consider 10%. Or 20%. Or more. Does this suddenly start to make a lot of sense now? Have any of you ever tried to take a large sum of money out of YOUR bank account? You think of it as your bank account, but just try taking out a big chunk, I dare ya! See how that goes for you. And by big chunk I mean anything over $5,000. Shoot, try $50,000 and they might call the cops on you! Not joking. Anyone who has ever tried probably all had the same experience. First they pepper you with a million questions: What do you need the money for? Where is it going? To which the correct answer to each is NUNYA! As in, None-Ya-Business! But the banks think it is their business. Theyll interrogate you. Theyll call the Manager over. Theyll make you fill out a million forms. And then theyll finally, reluctantly, tell you ok you can have your money but we dont have it right now so give us a few days and come back in 72 hours and well have it ready for you. Anyone who has ever tried to do this knows Im not exaggerating any of that. 3 Now, heres the third and most stunning part of the video During the meeting, the FDIC commissioners are openly discussing how they cant risk letting the public know what is really going on with the FDIC. It would be too dangerous. It would...

Avalanche (AVAX) Rumbles With 18% Gain Is A Trend Reversal On The Horizon? "IndyWatch Feed Allcommunity"

Avalanche (AVAX) recently experienced a breakout, successfully overcoming a major obstacle at $13. This particular hurdle had proven to be a significant challenge for AVAX bulls in the preceding weeks, hampering their upward momentum.

The surge in AVAXs performance can be attributed to multiple factors, one of which is the increasing demand for the network.

As Bitcoin prices rose, more users sought to utilize the wrapped BTC on Avalanche, contributing to the networks growing user base. Will AVAXs upward momentum continue?

Avalanche Price Shows Signs Of Exhaustion

The price of AVAX, currently standing at $13.37 according to CoinGecko, has demonstrated a 2.7% rally within the past 24 hours, accompanied by an impressive seven-day surge of 18.0%. However, a closer examination reveals that AVAXs recent upward momentum may be losing steam.

Between June 10 and 25, AVAX gained a substantial 40% and established a price range spanning from $9.65 to $14.25. Despite approaching the upper boundary of this range, indications of exhaustion are becoming increasingly evident.

Notably, from June 21 to 25, AVAXs price formed three distinct higher highs. However, during the same period, the AVAXs Relative Strength Index (RSI) and Awesome Oscillator (AO) formed lower highs.

This disparity, known as bearis...

Editor wont investigate data concerns about paper linking anti-prostitution laws to increased rape "IndyWatch Feed Allcommunity"

After reading an economics paper that claimed to document an increase in the rate of rape in European countries following the passage of prostitution bans, a data scientist had questions.

The scientist, who wishes to remain anonymous, sent a detailed email to an editor of the Journal of Law and Economics, which had published the paper last November, outlining concerns about the data and methods the authors used.

Among them: the historical rates of rape recorded in the paper did not match the values in the official sources the authors said they used. In other cases, data that were available from the official sources were missing in the paper, the researchers didnt incorporate all the data they had collected into their model, and a variable was coded inconsistently, the data scientist wrote. (Weve made the full critique available here.)

Given the consequences the conclusions of the article could have for people in the sex industry, the data scientist wrote, I hope that someone takes this very seriously and looks into it the [sic] validity of the analysis and the data they used.

In response, Sam Peltzman, an editor of the journal and a professor emeritus of economics at the University of Chicagos Booth School of Business, instructed the data scientist to contact the authors of the article:

The email raises serious questions but without any specific request. Your questions can better be answered by the authors than editors who, as you must know, cannot give each submission the kind of careful attention reflected in your email. Accordingly, we ask that you contact the authors directly if you have not already done so.

If you mean the email as a prologue to a critique, I am happy to discuss our relevant policies or any other question about our editorial process.

The data scientist wrote back with a specific request:

I have just informed you, the editor, that it appears that the authors made an error in at least one of their models that resulted in a substantive difference in the con...

What could be more charmingly idyllic than a glimpse of snowy-bearded Impressionist Claude Monet calmly painting en plein-air in his garden at Giverny?

His canvas is off camera for the most part, but given the coordinates, it seems safe to assume the subjects got something to do with the famous Japanese footbridge spanning Monets equally famous lily pond.

Ethereum Poised To Break $2,000 As $12 Million Short Seller Nears Liquidation "IndyWatch Feed Allcommunity"

The Ethereum price has followed Bitcoins lead and has seen a 10.3% price increase over the past seven days. News of BlackRocks Bitcoin spot ETF filing with the US Securities and Exchange Commission took the entire market by surprise and also breathed new life into altcoins. For one trader on the decentralized perpetual exchange GMX, however, the news is not really good news, but rather a nightmare.

Ethereum Short Seller Getting Rekt?

The largest short seller on GMX is using 6.64x leverage to short Ether (ETH) at an entry price of $1,703.97. A total of $1.8 million of collateral is at stake for the anonymous trader. At press time, the position was down 77.4% for a total of -$1.416 million.

As it stands, the traders short position of about $12 million in ETH will be liquidated when the Ethereum price reaches $1,945.18. According to a report from Chinese journalist Colin Wu, it could be the owner of rebelvarma.lens.

As popular analyst An Apes Prologue speculates, the ETH short seller could even double down on his bet. As the analyst writes, the consensus assumes that the short position will be liquidated when ETH reaches $1945. However, there are limit orders that could add a total of $149,000 to the traders collateral within the $1935 and $1945 price range. If triggered, this could increase the liquidation price to around $1967.

Watch Mall City, the Original Gonzo Documentary That Captures the Height of Shopping-Mall Culture (1983) "IndyWatch Feed Allcommunity"

httvs://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YmWTHCHHzZY

No American who came of age in the nineteen-eighties or in most of the seventies or nineties, for that matter could pretend not to understand the importance of the mall. Edina, Minnesotas Southdale Center, which defined the modern shopping malls enclosed, department store-anchored form, opened in 1956. Over the decades that followed, living patterns suburbanized and developers responded by plunging into a long and profitable orgy of mall-building, with the result that generations of adolescents lived in reasonably easy reach of such a commercial institution. Some came to shop and others came to work, but if Hugh Kinniburghs documentary Mall City is to be believed, most came just to hang out.

Introduced as A SAFARI TO STUDY MALL CULTURE, Mall City consists of interviews conducted by Kinniburgh and his NYU Film School collaborators during one day in 1983 at the Roosevelt Field Mall on Long Island. Unsurprisingly, their interviewees tend to be young, strenuously coiffed, and dressed with studied nonchalance in striped T-shirts and Members Only-style windbreakers.

Daft Punk Releases New Line of Helmets for Allergy Season "IndyWatch Feed Allcommunity"

PARIS, France Daft Punk reportedly re-joined forces after officially disbanding in 2021 in order to collaborate with manufacturing giants 3M on a new collection of their signature light up helmets, just in time for both festival and allergy season.

The Paris-based electronica duo designed the hottest robot helmets of the season with the dual purpose of looking chic while also keeping the insane pollen levels due to global warming out, reported Sheree Purdue, who runs one of Frances top style houses. Tucked inside is a miniature removable, disposable, air filter, designed to prevent even the most delicate of festival goers sinuses from becoming irritated by the allergens swirling around most outdoor venues. From Glastonbury to EDC, this functional new rave wear might turn into the prominent trend of 2023.

Die-hard Daft Punk fans have already taken the internet by storm with mostly positive feedback.

This is so great. I mean, it kills three birds with one stone: A HEPA filter for my dust allergy, light up mechanisms for partying after dark, and built in head protection for riding my Art Bike around Burning Man. Just take my money already, said Kyle Somers while wearing the 18 pound helmet. And itll hide my tears when I think about the fact that the only new music well ever get from Daft Punk again is remasters and demos. Really brilliant stuff.

Well-known fashion blogger Carmen Lestanzio of ILookBetterThanYou.com believes this this redefine allergy helmets going forward.

I cant stress how clever of a launch this is, because not only do the helmets add an extra element of style to your festival outfits, but they also help to conceal your identity so nobody will find out that you still think Burning Man is the cool festival. Just admitting that you go is bad enough for your image, Lestanzio said. So this is a great way to jump into the group camp photo while still maintaining your dignity, both online and in real life.

At press time, GWAR announced a collaboration with sports gear company Under Armour to release a limited edition run of moisture wicked t-shirts to sell exclusively at their shows, intended for the splash zone.

Members of Artist Collective Officially Become Lifelong Enemies After Only 2 1/2 Weeks of Being an Artist Collective "IndyWatch Feed Allcommunity"

DETROIT Members of the 17-day-old Which Hunt Artist Collective have confirmed that they have not only disbanded but fully intend on hating each others guts for the rest of their lives following an explosive closed doors meeting, infuriated sources report.

All 12 of us spent the past two years living together, being creative, and just having fun, said collective member and found object curator Krystna Radona. Like, the vibe was impeccable. But the moment we decided to get official and pick a name for the collective, everyone just got super annoying and tired looking and I hated everything everyone did after that. And when someone brought up a spreadsheet at the last meeting, I knew that I was done with those fuckers.

According to those close to the collective, the announcement comes as a shock.

Its really sadI thought they would have gone the whole nine yards, but I get it, said friend and local musician Kieran Razavi. Ive been in my band for 11 years, so I know how hard it is having to see the same faces every week. Sometimes it just feels like you really want to start something new and exciting, but you made a commitment to this band so you just have to drag yourself to practice again and deal with Daves obnoxious inability to figure out his schedule if you want to play another show for the same six people that were at the last show. It just sucks that Which Hunt is going to miss out on that kind of healthy, productive partnership.

Art historian Kalia Jarencio found the dissolution of the group unsurprising.

If you look at the history of post-war art, this kind of thing is actually pretty common, said Jarencio. The Situationist International, The Brixton Artists Collective, the artists working out of The Factoryall of them split up and stopped speaking to each other pretty quickly. The only difference with Which Hunt that I can see is that no one in the collective actually made any art and, as far as I can tell, just tried to fuck each other constantly.

According to a dozen individual press releases, all former members have dedicated the next six years to making art about how much they hate each other.

Help! I Learned to Code but the Instructions Were From 2001 and Now I Only Know How To Make Farscape Fan Sites "IndyWatch Feed Allcommunity"

I was feeling really frustrated with my career progression (or lack thereof). So, I decided to just do what every mouth breather said I should and learn how to code.

Someone shouldve mentioned the importance of finding an up-to-date guide, because the first-edition copy of HTML & CSS: Everything You Need to Know that I found at Goodwill was published in that fleeting window between Bushs inauguration and 9/11. And while it taught me some web design, its not much good since all Ive been able to make are Farscape sites.

Do you remember Farscape? Ive never seen it. But I guess it aired on Sci-Fi (sorry, SyFy) back in the day? I thought maybe it was the show with the Cylons but that was Battlestar Galactica.

It all started when I finished my first Coding Challenge. I did what I thought were some basic inputs, and when I ran in, I was greeted with neon green text on a black background reading FARSCAPE FAN CONNECT, along with some low-res images and what I guess is the theme song playing on a loop? Oh, and a Which character are you? quiz that really hinges on knowing the difference between a Scarran and a Peacekeeper.

I dont know what those are. Ive never even seen Farscape.

I tried to just shrug it off and try again later. But the next day, I made it through another chapter. And what did I get? Another eyesore of a site, this time with a Save Farscape petition on the front page. I guess the show got canceled and people got mad? Again, I dont know anything about this.

And it just doesnt stop. Right before writing this, I somehow made another one, this time completely devoted to someone called Pau Zotoh Zhaan. I dont even know how to begin to pronounce that.

Id have stopped by now. But Ive somehow already got 10 signatures in my guest book for my latest site. And I figured the next one could at least double that.

Also, in case anyone wants to know, I took the character quiz, and apparently, Im Xhalax Sun. Cool name, at least.

Uniswap (UNI) Price Rockets 22% Is There More Fuel In The Tank? "IndyWatch Feed Allcommunity"

Uniswap (UNI) has emerged as a formidable force within the cryptocurrency space, showcasing an impressive growth of 22% in recent weeks.

As one of the leading decentralized exchanges (DEX) built on the Ethereum blockchain, Uniswap has gained widespread recognition for its innovative approach to facilitating peer-to-peer token swaps.

With its unique automated market maker (AMM) model and emphasis on user empowerment, Uniswap has become a go-to platform for traders and liquidity providers alike.

The significant surge in UNIs value begs the question: does it have enough fuel to climb higher?

Uniswap Optimism Incentives Contributes To UNI Rally

A recent UNI report has highlighted that Uniswaps incentives on the Optimism network (OP) have generated diverse outcomes when it comes to liquidity and the decentralized finance (DeFi) sector.

While the effectiveness of these incentives may have varied, the price of UNI has demonstrated a strong bullish trend on the charts.

Over the past 24 hours, UNI has experienced a significant rally, with its price reaching $5.46 on CoinGecko, marking an impressive 15.3% increase.

Additionally, in the span of the last seven days, UNI has likewise demonstrated remarkable growth, surging by nearly 22%. These substantial price gains indicate a positive market sentiment surrounding UNI and suggest the potential for further upward movement.

Pokimane dead at 27 "IndyWatch Feed Allcommunity"

INTERNET Fans mourn the loss of Imane Anys, better known as Pokimane, who was found dead in her apartment by a family member Sunday evening. Authorities have not revealed a cause of death, but fans are speculating about the likelihood of suicide.

Pokimanes death follows harsh criticism this week for defending the exploitive contracts at Twitch with the false claim that up-and-coming competitor Kick was, in her words, making Twitch money, a claim that Twitch CEO Dan Clancy later debunked.

In her stream Sunday afternoon, Pokimane mumbled to herself about the possibility of retiring from streaming due to the negativity in the streaming industry, and signed off with a cryptic suggestion that she wouldnt be streaming anytime soon.

I feel like [streaming] makes me a worse person, she said, I just want to be in a bubble, with my community and that is very hard to do on Twitch.

People have been putting me down the whole way, Pokimane said, fighting back tears as thousands of supporting comments flooded her channel. Pokimane hummed and fiddled with her earbuds in silence as hundreds of thousands of viewers watched in anticipation of what might happen next. The streamer repeatedly sighed, and apologized for leaving her audience with dead air for so long, Sorry I shouldnt just stream myself thinking about life. I have so many thoughts and I just cant say them.

Dr. Angstrom H. Troubador, showbiz analyst and longtime trendwatcher, told the Internet Chronicle, All the big streamers are like this, with little or no talent for communication. Sometimes they will stare quietly at a slot machine for hours on end, without saying anything of interest. So why are these top streamers worth so much? These weird algorithms have selected them for how clickable they are, rather than any other metric. The result is so insipid and tasteless, without entertainment value, that these huge multi-million dollar contracts boggle the mind. My only conclusion is that there is a bubble in the streaming industry thats about to pop, and Pokimane likely knows something that we dont.

Factory Farmed Salmon Full of Disease and Hazardous Chemicals "IndyWatch Feed Allcommunity"

Editor's Note: This article is a reprint. It was originally published December 11, 2018.

Salmon is the second most popular type of seafood in the U.S. (shrimp is the first), with just over 2 pounds consumed annually, per person.1 While many love its flavor, a key reason behind its popularity has to do with its perceived health benefits. As a rich source of beneficial animal-based omega-3 fats, salmon can, indeed, be a very healthy food choice.

However, it can also be among the worst food choices, and the difference lies in the details. While wild-caught Alaskan salmon is an example of good-for-you salmon, rich in healthy fats and low in pollutants, farm-raised salmon is not. Unfortunately, farm-raised makes up 75% of the salmon consumed worldwide, and its volume has increased nearly 1,000% from 1990 to 2015.2

Two Dumpsters of Rotting Salmon Discovered at Fish Farm

The video above, captured by Don Staniford of Scottish Salmon Watch, shows dead salmon rotting in dumpsters at two Scottish salmon farms, one owned by Marine Harvest and the other by Scottish Salmon Company.

This is symptomatic of factory farming its the underbelly of battery factory salmon farming. Infectious diseases are rife in the industry and about a fifth of farmed salmon stock is dying. The fish in these tanks are not going to shops but they have been swimming alongside ones that are, Staniford said in a news release.3 These fish are dying of horrible infections and diseases.

Its unclear how the fish in the video died, but salmon farms are required to store dead fish in a safe manner prior to disposal.4 How many farmed salmon are dying every year in Scotland?

According to Scottish Salmon Watch in a submission to the Scottish Parliament in March 2018...

How Colostrum Can Benefit Your Immune Health "IndyWatch Feed Allcommunity"

For the first three to four days after giving birth, all mammals, including humans, produce colostrum, also known as initial milk or first milk.1 Rich in enzymes, hormones, growth factors, cytokines and immune cells, this thick, yellow substance is produced only in small quantities, but is packed with so much nutrition that it easily meets the needs of the growing newborn during the first days of life.

About 250 active compounds have been identified in colostrum, but there are likely many others.2 Colostrum contains beneficial bacteria, as well, and acts directly on the babys tissues, ensuring optimal growth and development of the nervous, digestive and immune systems. As explained by researchers with Hirszfeld Institute of Immunology and Experimental Therapy in Wroclaw, Poland:3

"The nutrients and regulatory substances ensure normal growth, differentiation, maturation and function of the digestive system, protect against damage and allow it to heal, control the development of a normal intestinal microbiota and shape the local (gut-related) and systemic immune response."

Given the immense benefits of colostrum to newborns, its also been harnessed for its disease prevention, wellness and antiaging potential, particularly as it relates to immune system function.

Colostrum for Immune System health

Bovine colostrum contains similar bioactive components as human colostrum, albeit in different concentrations.4 Given its widespread availability, its been used for health purposes for thousands of years, including to heal wounds and protect against infection.5

Its believed that cytokines, immunoglobulins, growth factors, antimicrobial compounds and maternal immune cells are also transferred when colostrum is fed, supporting immunity.6 In fact, colostrum is so beneficial its often referred to as "liquid gold" or "immune milk."7 "Naturally produced bioactive components, immunoglobulins lay the foundation of life-long immunity," researchers explained in Food Bioscience.8

Immunoglobulin G (IgG) is the most common antibody in bovine colostrum (BC), making up 80% to 85% of the immunoglobulin present. The Food Bioscience team noted:9

Contaminated COVID Products and Green Monkey Virus "IndyWatch Feed Allcommunity"

In the video above, Jessica Rose, Ph.D., interviews microbiologist Kevin McKernan on Good Morning CHD. McKernans team recently discovered1,2,3,4 simian virus 40 (SV40) promoters in Pfizers and Modernas bivalent mRNA COVID shots, which, for decades, have been suspected of causing cancer in humans.5 As explained in the abstract, posted on OSF Preprints in April 2023:6

Several methods were deployed to assess the nucleic acid composition of four expired vials of the Moderna and Pfizer bivalent mRNA vaccines. Two vials from each vendor were evaluated ... Multiple assays support DNA contamination that exceeds the European Medicines Agency (EMA) 330ng/mg requirement and the FDAs 10ng/dose requirements ...

Equally, if not more, troubling, these DNA contaminants also can alter the human genome. As explained by McKernan, genomic sequencing involves reading the letters of the genome, A, T, C and G, which make up the DNA code. Both DNA and RNA can be sequenced in this manner.

DNA can be likened to a copy of the hard drive of your cell, while RNA is like your task manager, dictating the software program being run in a given moment. When you sequence RNA, you get a sense of what the cell is being instructed to do, while sequencing DNA tells you everything the cell could possibly do if the proper instructions are present.

COVID Shots Contain Both RNA and DNA

Its been assumed that the COVID shots contained only RNA, but using genomic sequencing, McKernan discovered they contain DNA fragments as well, and there really should not be any. The RNA is basically copied, or Xeroxed off the DNA, and only the RNA should be in the final product.

As noted by McKernan, the DNA used is proprietary. They dont want people to know all the tricks they put in the DNA to drive maximum amount of Xeroxing, if you will. But what popped out during sequencing was the entire sequencing vector, which shows us everything theyre doing to drive the expression of this RNA, McKernan says.

So, we now know theyre using a T7 promoter, an SV40 promoter, an antibiotic-resistance gene, that the replication is bacterial in origin and more. As explained by McKernan, to get the amount of RNA required for these shots, you need very large amounts of DNA. To get the DNA required, a piece of DNA that codes for RNA in a circle, called a plasmid, was created and then reproduced inside E. coli in a...

We Dont Have Any

When Robert Kennedy, Jr. was interviewed by Joe Rogan on June 15, 2023, he pointed out glaring malfeasance on the part of U.S. health officials.

WHERE ARE THE VACCINE SAFETY STUDIES?

Kennedy said:

And thats the problem with not doing real placebo controlled trials.

None of the vaccines are subjected to true placebo controlled trials.  It is the only medical product that is exempt prior to licensure.

I said this for many, many years: Not one of these 72 vaccines has ever been tested pre-licensing in a placebo controlled trial where youre looking at vaccinated vs unvaccinated kids, looking for health outcomes. Never been done.

Tony Fauci was saying, [Kennedys] lying. Hes not telling the truth.  This is vaccine misinformation.

I said to him, Tony, youve been telling people Im a liar when I say no vaccine has ever been,  none of the mandated  vaccinesnone of them have ever been tested in a placebo-controlled trial safety test prior to licensing.

And I said, Can you show me one vaccine that has been subject to a safety test. Show me one study that shows that.

Examining the D in CPTSD | Terry Baranski "IndyWatch Feed Allcommunity"

From CPTSD Foundation: One of the banes of our cultures psychiatric ideology is its tendency to pathologize mental health difficulties as disorders and diseases, both of which imply that theres something wrong with a person that needs to be fixed. This often leads someone diagnosed with a disorder to self-shame, self-blame, and try to fight against their symptoms. In this article, Ill investigate the notion of disorders and argue that they are actually processes that, as trauma expert Gabor Mat eloquently states, are normal responses to abnormal circumstances.

. . . So what exactly are these dynamic processes? To shed some light, we must trace them back to their causes. With CPTSD (along with virtually any other mental health condition), the symptoms that manifest are, in my view, actually a collection of coping strategies that kicked in during childhood due to trauma. These adaptations are highly intelligent when they first come online they prevent our traumatic experiences from becoming even worse, and in many cases actually save our lives. Once the trauma is over, however, they often become maladaptive and outlive their usefulness.

. . . The notion of a disorder tends to create an attitude that symptoms are something to be gotten rid of to battle against using any means necessary. Far from being compassionate, this approach essentially puts the internal system at war with itself. The process perspective, on the other hand, opens the door to treatment modalities such as Internal Family Systems (IFS), which work with our coping strategies rather than against them, using self-compassion and understanding. IFS respects that coping strategies came about for good reasons, and therefore doesnt attempt to change behaviors directly. Instead, a bottom-up approach is used to heal and release a persons trauma, at which point behavioral change comes about as a natural outcome.

There are events in history so catastrophic that they can kick off a series of reactions that will have negative consequences. At times, these human tragedies may even be the cause of further innocents being victimized due to reactionary legislation. Lets take a trip down the tragic memory lane of certain occurrences that spelled misfortune for the undeserving.

Unforeseen consequences

In World War II at the beginning of the war days after the Pearl Harbor attack the call for Japanese American internment camps began. Now, to be fair you and I did not live in that period of history after the Great Depression and the anticipation of an unwanted war in Europe or with Japan, but the American public had been aware for some time of possible war with the Japanese and once the New York Times did its job and began releasing press content of the horrid atrocities being committed by the Japanese in Manchuria, the public was already incensed! I can see that the reaction of internment camps for the Japanese was simply an understandable but regrettable reaction to the sneak attack at Pearl Harbor, but for the US government to confiscate the possessions, homes, and shops of Japanese families was unforgivable! There should have been reparations for them by the end of the war, but thats government for you! In reality just as there was a Nazi 5th Column active in the US there were Japanese espionage agents on Oahu in Hawaii and on the west coast of California observing.

The Kremlin dismissed the claims that Russian troops were preparing to attack the nuke plant, according to a report by The Sun UK. Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said: This is another lie. Life-Saving Video Shows How To Recognize the Signs of Stroke

Man sitting and daughter standing in kitchen in screenshot of video about the first signs of a stroke

Photo: Screenshot from YouTube

According to the FDA, stroke is the fifth leading cause of death and a leading cause of serious disability in the United States. That's why knowing the first signs can save a life. But what are the signs of a stroke? The Heart and Stroke Foundation of Canada produced an informative and straightforward video demonstrating how the symptoms look in realistic detail.

The video begins from the point of view of the mother, and it depicts the family getting ready for dinner. They are casually chatting, when the daughter says Dad, a side of your face is droopingmom? The father slurringly tries to reply It's probably nothing. The mother then asks him to raise his hands in the air, but after failing to do so, instructs the girl to call 911 to let them know that he looks like he is having a stroke.

As the paramedics arrive and the dad is taken away, the family looks visibly upset. The video depicts the real emotions felt during an episode like this as if letting viewers know that it's understandable to be upset as it unfolds. The story then cuts to the family at the hospital. While the husband lies on a bed wearing a robe, the doctors tell them that thanks to their quick reaction, the man is expected to make a full recovery.

The video then introduces the signs of stroke under the acronym FAST: FaceIs it drooping? ArmsCan you raise both? SpeechIs it slurred or jumbled? Time to call 911 right away. While the video may be a hard watch for some, it has been praised for its true depiction of the symptoms.

An invitation to a certain, forgotten way of seeing the world and an exultation at earthly life, with its duration so short it obliges us to surpass ourselves.

Archives of Joy: Reflections on Animals and the Nature of Being

Joy is not a thing of the will, not subject to control and conquest. It comes when we least expect it, like a murmuration of starlings across the evening sky. It stays for as long as we are able to stay openhearted to the tender transience of life. Anas Nin knew this when she contemplated its elusive nature, and Beethoven knew it when he spent half a lifetime capturing it in music.

The secret pulse-beat of joy is what Jean-Franois Beauchemin explores in Archives of Joy: Reflections on Animals and the Nature of Being (public library) an invitation to a certain, forgotten way of seeing the world and an exultation at earthly life, with its duration so short it obliges us to surpass ourselves.

In a passage Walt Whitman could have composed a century and a half ago, Beauchemin introduces himself:...

Why a Germ Expert Is Begging You To Remove the Foil or Plastic Seal Under the Lid of Your Containers After Opening "IndyWatch Feed Allcommunity"

If you frequent Reddit or engage in household debates on food storage, youve likely encountered the controversy surrounding foil or plastic seals on food products like yogurt and sour cream. Should these seals be removed or retained for additional coverage after opening? One couple debated this question for an impressive ten years before a directive from the very product in question solved their quandary. The husband found the unexpected resolution under the contentious disposable seal, which was imprinted with a manufacturers instruction: To prolong freshness, completely remove and discard this foil seal.

This straightforward message from the product manufacturer may solve the debate, but it still leaves us wondering about the original purpose of the seals. Moreover, how can leaving these seals on an opened container compromise the freshness of its contents? In pursuit of these answers, we consulted two renowned germ experts.

Understanding the Purpose of Foil or Plastic Seals on Food Containers

According to Jason Tetro, a respected microbiologist and author of the book The Germ Files, there are two primary reasons for the existence of these seals. Firstly, it helps to increase shelf lifethe container is usually flushed with nitrogen before sealing, which reduces the amount of oxygen inside, he explains. Nitrogen flushing is a common technique used by food manufacturers to prolong the shelf-life of their products. The reduction of oxygen inside the container is intended to suppress the growth of aerobic bacteria and fungi, which can cause food to spoil.

Secondly, these seals serve as a protective barrier for the containers contents. It helps to prevent the introduction of chemicals and microbes that could spoil the products and/or cause illnesses, states Tetro.

Adding further clarity to this matter, microbial ecologist Jack A. Gilbert, Ph.D., a professor at the University of California San Diego, elaborates on the importance of the seal. He describes it as a safety and quality mechanism. It works by creating a barrier between the product and the external environment while also providing assurance to consumers that the product has not been tampered with prior to purchase.

This Is What Antarctica Looks Like Beneath the Ice "IndyWatch Feed Allcommunity"

This Is What Antarctica Looks Like Beneath the Ice

Antarctica Without Ice: What Would That Look Like?

The Bedmap2 topography beneath Antarctic ice. (Photo: NASA/Goddard Space Flight Center)

The ice caps are melting. Sea levels will rise. Climate change is reshaping the Earth. But what would an iceless world look like? NASA has an idea. In 2013, NASA created Bedmap2, a detailed topographical modelor suite of gridded productsshowing the bedrock landscape underneath icy Antarctica, as well as sea elevation. Through radar technology and detailed data collection of 25 million measurements, Bedmap2 provides insight into a changing world.

The original Bedmap was created in 2001. Bedmap2 uses a lot more data to create a compilation of knowledge surrounding the Antarctic region south of 60 degrees south. Surface elevation, ice thickness, and bedrock topography data from NASA and the British Antarctic Survey help paint a detailed picture of a hidden world. While Antarctica is 98% covered by ice, underneath is a range of rock mountains and gorges. Using radar technology, known as Multichannel Coherent Radar Depth Sounder, researchers discovered the lowest point on the continent: 9,416 feet below sea level under Byrd Glacier.

Ice sheets grow because of snow, and like honey poured on a plate, spread outward and thin due to their own weight, Sophie Nowicki, of NASA's Goddard Space Flight Center said in a statement. The shape of the bed is the most important unknown, and affect how ice can flow. You can influence how honey spreads on your plate, by simply varying how you hold your plate.

The shape of the rock bed is particularly important for calculating how climate change will impact Antarctica and the world. 6.4 million cubic miles of ice could create a 190-foot sea-level rise. In fact, sea levels are...

They are very distinct from homo sapiens. Their DNA is so different that if the two species mated, their offspring would be infertile. We know this because their DNA was tested. We find their skulls all over the place because they have been on Earth with us, but after the ice age there werent many of them. And so they hide. One of the places they have been hiding is in the Vatican.

Is She Wrong for Not Letting a Family Use Their Pump for a Deflated Ball? People Responded. "IndyWatch Feed Allcommunity"

AITADeflatedBall Is She Wrong for Not Letting a Family Use Their Pump for a Deflated Ball? People Responded.

Well, this sounds weird

What could possibly be the harm in letting someone use your pump?

Its odd, right?

But something more must be going on here, so lets take a look at this story and see if this woman acted like an a**hole.

AITA for not letting a family use our pump for their deflated ball?

My boyfriend and I belong to a local community center with a few basketball courts. Sometimes on the weekends we like to go there just shoot around and have fun.

Unfortunately, the balls the community center has are almost always slightly deflated for some reason. You can remedy this by either bringing your own ball or your own pump. Since I already have a pump for my bike we usually just bring that and let other people use it too if they ask nicely.

We had the court to ourselves when a mom with her two 8-10 year old boys arrives. No big deal, they can use the other side of the court. The kids started playing and were having trouble with the deflated ball. Mom who was sitting and watching nearby noticed this, and noticed that our ball was pumped.

She came up to us and said we need to let her kids have a turn with the ball we were using, since it was the only good one. I told her that theyre all always deflated and that we actually brought a pump to fix one so we could use it. I said she couldnt have our ball, but she was welcome to use the pump to inflate the one her kids had....

McDonalds Fry Scandal Unveiled: The Not-So-Vegetarian Secret Behind the Worlds Most Iconic Fries "IndyWatch Feed Allcommunity"

This might leave you in a bit of a conundrum.

Popular TikToker, Jordan Howlett, famous for his intriguing fast food secrets, has dropped a bombshell revelation on his 9 million followers: McDonalds world-renowned fries might not be as vegetarian-friendly as we thought. This potentially game-changing information, targeting one of the key aspects of McDonalds global allure, has shaken the fast-food world to its core.

The Controversial Ingredient: Natural Beef Flavor

Howlett, 26, points out an ingredient named natural beef flavor thats found on the companys US online menu. He asserts that this is the reason why McDonalds fries taste different from everybody elses fries.

McDonalds cooks their fries with beef flavoring mixed within their vegetable oil, the San Diego-based TikToker explained in a recent TikTok video that has amassed over 9.6 million views. He suggests that this ingredient is what makes McDonalds fries irresistibly tasty but may pose a significant problem for vegetarians and those with specific dietary restrictions.

Howlett, upon discovering the use of beef flavoring in the fries, was rather intrigued. I thought it was incredibly interesting, he shared. He thought that the public, particularly those with dietary restrictions, should be aware of this information. Whether it contains meat or not doesnt really change my view on the McDonalds fries. I still enjoy them, he added.

The Canada-based artist, better known as <a href="https://artandairplanes.com/" rel="noopener" target= "_blank">Art & Airplanes, practices pyrography, a technique that involves using a heated metal pen to burn wood. In this way, she renders striking modern designs inspired by the beauty of the Pacific Northwest.

Originally from Saskatchewan, Bergeron says she discovered her love of the Western landscape over time. She uses her artistic practice to shine a light on the grandeur of the untouched wilderness, capturing everything from dramatic mountains to tall pine trees in her work. </p>
