No matter how many years they've been together, some older couples still revel in sweet romantic gestures. It's moving to watch seniors show love to the person they've spent their life within any way that they can. One of the most touching moments we've seen lately stars a loving 102-year-old husband as he visits his wife in the hospital.

In a clip shared by Good News Movement, the devoted husband appears at the door and reacts excitedly as the person helping him walk points to the love of his life. He walks slowly towards her as she welcomes him with a big smile. The husband then kisses his wife, and happily presents her with a bouquet.

While it's hard to determine where the scene takes place from the images alone, the affecting power of the scene is universal. You don't need to hear their words to be completely taken away by the moment and be moved by what's unfolding in that room.

Even though the footage is only a few seconds long, it's more than enough to see that the love between these two runs deep. Not even a hospital stay can put them apartif anything, the husband goes the extra mile to show that he's there for her.

It is especially endearing to see the man's determination to deliver his flowers despite needing help to walk. Do you dream of buried treasure? Many of us do, but metal detector hobbyists take this desire to the next level. Treasure hoards are real, and when discovered can vastly expand historical knowledge. Some places, such as the UK, even have laws about what to do when you find that glint of gold or silver. For one recently lucky Dutch metal detectorist, his find contained rare medieval golden jewelry and silver coins.

Metal detectorist and historian Lorenzo Ruijter has been searching for treasure since he was 10 years old. In 2021, he got the magical ping and discovered a few objects buried in Hoogwoud, a small Dutch city. He uncovered four golden ear pendants, two strips of gold leaf, and 39 silver coins. He notified Archeology West Friesland and the artifacts were taken to the National Museum of Antiquities for preservation. The experts there studied the metal pieces, noting the latest of the minted coins dates to about 1250 C.E. It is around this time they believe the hoard was buried. It is possible that someone buried it to protect it from the war raging in the area at the time between the regions of West Friesland and Holland.

The jewelry found with the coins dates even earlier. It is thought to be from 1000 to 1050 C.E. It has likely been passed down the generations and highly prized by its owner. Everyone should be in therapy.

Its a sentiment I heard just about every day when I was in graduate school to become a therapist. But its also something I hear now from friends, acquaintanceseven stand-up comics.

Should everyone be in therapy?

Its a difficult proposition to test. Those who dont think they need therapy, or who dont think therapy is useful, are not particularly likely to go to therapy. Any study of therapys usefulness, therefore, contains only people who need therapy (or think they do) and who already think therapy is helpfulthe very people for whom therapy is probably useful (or for whom the placebo effect is largest, since they expect to improve in therapy). Existing studies generally focus on people with specific psychiatric diagnoses, and usually those who have pretty severe symptoms.

Everyone should be in therapy is a statement that assumes a lot. First, theres the neoliberal assumption that no matter how good youre doing, no matter how content or even happy you are, theres always something you should be working on. And then, even if there is perhaps something you could work on, the assumption that therapy can help. For instance, theres a meme floating around the internet that men will do anything but go to therapy. But has there ever been even a single study testing whether therapy can reduce toxic masculinity or promote healthy masculinity? (Answer: Not that I could find.)

Theres really no evidence base for the idea that everyone should be in therapy. But proponents will also tell you that theres no real downside. Therapy can only help, so why not give it a try?

But is that so? There are some obvious harms: wasting your time and money, of course. But researchers since the 60s have noted that therapy can also cause psychological distress, problems with existing relationships, and even relaxation-induced anxiety and panic. Even our current darlings, like mindfulness, can lead to increased anxiety, pain, and dissociative states like depersonalization and derealization.

Proponents of therapy argue that many of these effects are transient and that the positive effects of therapy overshadow these potential harms. And some of these....

Lets look at why so many ghost jobs are out there, why mainstream media is reporting on the economy in the way it is, and what steps individual job-seekers can take.

Clarify Capital conducted a survey of 1045 managers involved in hiring between August 31 and September 1, 2022.  They asked managers why they left job postings online even though they were not actively trying to fill those positions.  The answers?

• 50% reported that the company is always open to new people.
• 43% wanted to keep employees motivated
• 43% to give the impression that company is growing
• 39% the job was filled
• 37% to keep an active pool of active applicants in case of turnover
• 35% in case an irresistible candidate applies
• 34% to placate overworked employees
• 27% forgot to delete the job
• 33% no reason in particular

Disorganization within large companies can lead to incorrect job postings as well, according to a March 20, 2023, article in the Wall Street Journal.  Many large companies have been going through rounds of layoffs and restructuring, and departments may post job openings redundantly or for jobs that havent been approved at other levels within the company.

Casey Knapp, Bauers long-time partner, has a few concerns.

I have seen so many water bottles come and go. Each would usher in a wave of fitness talk and an Amazon cart full of expensive activewear. Good help is so very hard to find these days. Case in point: I received a strange email rife with misspellings and odd formatting. The gist of the message was that the sender somehow hacked my phone, recorded a video of me stroking off while watching adult-themed entertainment, and is going to send it to everyone in my contacts list.

Neat! Thank you ol chap! I thought to myself upon reading the missive. But the days and nights have passed. I occasionally ask my wife Gwendolyn or my cousin Cornelius if theyve, ya know, heard or seen anything interesting. And theres been nothing; not a peep! Im starting to lose faith that the mystery sender will ever follow through with their grand promise.

Your word used to mean something. A promise; a contract. But it seems that nowadays, a pact is meaningless. I was excited for days! So my wife and I recently went on a trip together payed for by her dad. He flew us to Hawaii with first class seats. We had a great time.

My wife is used to travel while Im les experienced with plane travel, this was the first time I flew first class. On our way back home, we were sat near the back were by the border between us and the undesirables. A mother and her baby were one of the first to board and the poor baby was not having a good time. I felt even worse got the mother as I know shes probably equally distressed about the baby crying.

While I felt sympathy, my wife was mad. She kept making comments about how our flight was going to be miserable as the best. Her completing went on for the longest time. She kept saying that the mother was irresponsible and if she doesnt know how to calm her baby, she shouldnt be taking it on a plane.

I tried to tell her to calm down as its not that serious but she wasnt having it. Eventually I got tired of that, so I offered to go speak to the mom for my wife. She said she would be happy if I did.

In the U.S. alone, 40 million adults take statin cholesterol-lowering medications in the mistaken belief that this will reduce their risk of heart disease.¹ But lowering your cholesterol is not the panacea to heart health that youve been led to believe.

On The Joe Rogan Experience, Dr. Aseem Malhotra, an interventional cardiologist consultant from the U.K., speaks out about the overprescribing of statins for heart disease and the widespread myths about cholesterol and your heart that still permeate modern medicine.²

Only Extremely High Levels Were a Problem

The Framingham Study, which began in 1948, involved 5,209 people from Massachusetts.³ It was instrumental in starting the myth that high total cholesterol is a major risk factor for heart disease, but what many people dont realize is the correlation only existed if cholesterol was over 300 milligrams per deciliter (mg/dl). Very few people have total cholesterol that high, Malhotra says.⁴

Further, he believes, your cholesterol levels are 80% genetics. In your body, cholesterol is necessary for maintaining cell membranes and it plays a role in the immune system and synthesizing hormones and vitamin D.

In the Framingham Study, the majority of people with cholesterol levels over 300 mg/dl had a genetic condition called familial hyperlipidemia, which leads to very high levels of cholesterol. About 1 in 250 people have this condition, according to Malhotra.⁵

What also wasnt widely publicized about the Framingham Study was what occurred in people who were in their 50s, 60s and beyond. In this age range, as cholesterol dropped, mortality rate increased. So, the association of cholesterol and heart disease is quite weak, first and foremost, Malhotra says.⁶

Malhotra and colleagues conducted a study to determine if a correlation exists with lowering LDL cholesterol and total cholesterol and preventing heart attacks and strokes, and no clear correlation was found. This is based upon randomized, controlled trial data, so this is the most robust evidence you can get, he says.⁷

Is the end of the dollar as an international currency about to end

Litecoin (LTC) is still trending low like the rest of the cryptocurrency market but one thing that separates the altcoin from the others is its obvious bullish case. Unlike the rest of the market, Litecoin looks set for another rally which will likely be propelled forward by the next halving.

Litecoin Halving Presents Bullish Scenario

Just like Bitcoin, the Litecoin halving happens every four years and cuts block rewards by 50%. The aim of this halving is to reduce the amount of new supply flowing into the market. And as demand rises, there is less supply to meet this demand, thus leading to scarcity and a surge in prices.

The next Litecoin halving is now around the corner with only about three months left to go. This halving, like the ones before it, carries the same promise of a rally for the digital asset. The last halving in 2019 saw LTCs price bottom out around $62 and then rally to a local peak of $80 in the same month.

If this years halving stays true to this trend, then the digital asset should be seeing some upside in the coming months. This could result in LTC clearing the $100 level once more as investors prep for the next leg-up.

A 20% upside is attainable at this point, especially with the halving expected to happen in early August. So more than likely, the buyers will dominate the market for the next two months, leading to rising prices for Litecoin.

LTC Outlook For 2023

Presently, the crypto market is seeing muted momentum as investors remain indecisive. For Litecoin, the upcoming halving remains a bullish event but the prospects for the months following the halving event do not look good given historical performances.

The Wuhan coronavirus (COVID-19) mRNA vaccines from Pfizer and Moderna have DNA contamination.

Microbiologist Dr. Kevin McKernan has discovered unacceptable levels of double-stranded DNA plasmids floating around Pfizer and Moderna vaccines. Pharmaceutical and medical device R&D executive Sasha Latypova expounded on McKernans findings in an interview with The Freedom Corner with Peter Sweden.

Latypova said the DNA contamination is a significant problem because the replicable DNA plasmids can invade human cells and bacteria in the gut. This invasion can lead to the replication of antibiotic-resistant genes, sepsis, cancer, and other health issues.

Experts at the World Council for Health (WCH) also confirmed that DNA contamination in mRNA vaccines is a global risk. They said the presence of replicable DNA plasmids in both the monovalent and bivalent vaccines is unacceptable and called for an immediate halt to the COVID-19 vaccine program.

Besides the DNA contamination, McKernan also discovered the presence of Simian virus (SV40) promoters in Pfizers mRNA vaccine. The SV40 found in the vaccine is just a viral piece not the whole virus. However, it still presents a risk of driving cancer.

SV40 was initially found in rhesus monkey kidney cells used to produce both inactivated polio vaccine (IPV) and oral polio vaccine (OPV.) When it was discovered to be an animal carcinogen, a law was passed in 1961 to prohibit its presence in vaccines. Politicians in the United States will likely strike a deal and raise the governments $31.4 trillion debt ceiling for two more years. Amid this debate, the price of Bitcoin is firm but lower, tracking below the psychological $30,000 level as bulls recover after posting sharp losses mid-this week.

The Debt Ceiling Debate

There are reports that there will be more discretionary spending on the military and veterans with the reduction of other sectors.

Moreover, there are unconfirmed reports that the Biden administration will likely not fund the Internal Revenue Service (IRS) to boost collection, as laid out earlier.

Instead, the immediate focus will be to hire more auditors and target wealthy citizens.

There are concerns that the Treasury Department and the United States government will default on their obligation as soon as the first half of June 2023.

Even though highly unlikely, as the Treasury Department has said it will liquidate $119 billion of debt on that day, the market is watching how discussions pan out.

Bitcoin is firming up after losses on May 24.

As a deal is reportedly struck and consensus reached, politicians would once again lift the debt ceiling, sending mixed signals to the economy.

Unlike in previous years when top cryptocurrencies were decoupled from the mainstream economy, things have changed as Bitcoins prominence rises.

Will Bitcoin Benefit?

BTC prices will likely rally if there is an instance of default brought about by politicians disagreeing on the way forward.

On the reverse side, a deal that addresses concerns brought by the negotiating parties could signal confidence in the economy despite more debt on the table.

This averts a crisis and keeps operations running, removing uncertainty and stabilizing the economy.

In that case, the USD could strengthen, possibly reversing gains by Bitcoin bulls in the last two trading days.

Still, the crypto community remains bullish on Bitcoin considering macroeconomic events and next years halving.

After months of steady interest rate hikes, the United States Federal Reserve could slow down rate increments in the next meeting in mid-June. Their action could support the commodities and securities markets.

The Ordinals protocol has taken the Bitcoin world by storm. Quickly amassing over 9,000,000 inscriptions, the new protocol allows for arbitrary data to be embedded on the Bitcoin blockchain. In addition to attracting attention from the NFT industry, Ordinals have led to a major increase in the fees required to send bitcoin, eliciting new debate on how Bitcoin should deal with high fee environments. 

In a recent interview with Bitcoin Magazine, Farokh, founder of the Rug Radio platform and a well-known collector within the NFT industry, shared insights into the world of Bitcoin NFTs and his vision for the Bitcoin inscription markets future. Reflecting on his own Bitcoin and NFT journey, Farokh acknowledged the initial confusion surrounding Bitcoin in 2012, given the lack of development and user-friendly platforms at the time. From polka dot pumpkins to mirror rooms, it is hard to mistake Yayoi Kusamas art for anyone else's work. A new exhibition at the David Zwirner Gallery in New York, titled I Spend Each Day Embracing Flowers, assembles some of the many different facets of the artist's oeuvre, featuring massive sculptures, colorful paintings, and immersive installations. The extensive collection is stretched across David Zwirner's spaces at 519, 525, and 533 West 19th Street.

The title of the show comes from three large-scale sculptures that are featured in the exhibition. These pieces depict massive blooms colored in bold hues and a mix of polka dot and abstract prints. The flowers convey a duality, present throughout Kusamas work, between life and death, celebration and mourning, figuration, and abstraction, with each opposite simultaneously pushed to its limits, the exhibition states. Helen Keller is known for her activism for the disabled community. After a childhood illness rendered her deaf and blind, she learned to read, write, sign, and speak. Graduating Phi Beta Kappa from Radcliffe College in 1904, Keller was the first deafblind person to earn a Bachelors of Arts degree in the United States. The price of Uniswap, the largest decentralized exchange by trading volume, is down roughly 35% from Q1 2023 peaks. Even so, on-chain data from Etherscan shows that there has been a steady increase in the number of UNI holders in the past two days.

As of May 13, there were 369,646 UNI holders. Since then, the number has increased to over 370,100 as of May 26. During this time, UNI prices have remained stable but relatively high.

Based on the UNIUSDT chart, the prices have found support around $4.9. However, prices have increased by approximately 10% over the past two weeks, rising to $5.4. Although the number of UNI holders may not directly affect the prices, there is a clear correlation between the demand for UNI and the increase in token prices.

Several factors could have provided tailwinds for UNI, the governance token of Uniswap.

In a recent note, JPMorgan strategists have made a prediction, suggesting that Bitcoin (BTC) could soar and revisit its former trading price of $45,000 due to the rising price of gold. This prediction comes amid Bitcoins price action of a blend of bulls and bears in the past week.

Meanwhile, over the past 24 hours, BTC has seen a 2.1% gain with a current trading price above $26,000. The current surge comes after Bitcoin previously fall that dropped its price below its previously ranging market price of $28,000.

Bitcoin And Gold: A Correlation

Bitcoin and gold have often been regarded as alternative investments by investors, and their prices have displayed a tendency to move in tandem.

Given this, JPMorgan analysts note that the current gold price, hovering near $2,000 per ounce, implies a Bitcoin price of $45,000. This assumption is based on the idea that BTC will reach a similar standing as gold in the portfolios of private investors.

JP Morgan wrote in a note:

With the gold price rising above $2,000, the value of gold held for investment purposes outside central banks is currently valued at around [$3 trillion]. In turn, this implies a $45,000 price for bitcoin under the assumption that bitcoin equalizes gold in private investors portfolios in risk capital or [volume]-adjusted terms.

One key factor contributing to JPMorgans optimistic prediction is the upcoming Bitcoin halving event, scheduled to take place between April and May 2024. The halving mechanism reduces the rate at which new Bitcoins are produced, effectively doubling the production cost.

The JPMorgan strategists believe this event will push Bitcoins production cost to approximately $40,000, acting as a lower bound and potentially driving the price upward.

Drawing from historical data, JPMorgan highlights the bullish trajectory observed during previous halving events in 2016 and 2020. These events were accompanied by significant surges in Bitcoin prices, indicating the potential for a similar outcome following the next halving.

As a result, JPMorgan sets an upper limit of $45,000 for BTC, indicating limited potential beyond the increase driven by the doubling of production costs.

A member of Shiba Inus marketing team, LUCIE, shared her thoughts on the proposed mainnet launch of Shibarium in a Tweet. 

Shibarium is a Layer-2 (L2) scaling solution created for the Shiba Inu ecosystem. Its launch date is highly speculative, with several dates proposed in the past.

However, LUCIE stated that she guessed the launch date would be in Q3 of 2023, while Shiba Inu founder Shytoshi Kusama projects in July.

The exact launch date remains a mystery and LUCIE believes the Shibarium Mainnet Launch will happen between the second and third quarters of 2023. 

Additionally, she believes that Shibas team remains confident about the launch, with multiple teams working on it and exploring Artificial Intelligence (AI) integration.

LUCIE emphasized that the testing process is crucial and security audits are necessary before its launch. She explained further, that if tests go wrong, the Shibarium mainnet release will delay.

Despite the recent announcements concerning Shibariums launch, SHIB did not record much price fluctuation. It traded at $0.000009967 on May 1, 2023, before moving to $0.00001002 on May 2. However, by May 4, its price dropped to $0.000009896, losing some of its earlier gains.
