Das FBI warnt vor ffentlichen USB-Ladenanschlssen.Das ... "IndyWatch Feed Allworld"

Woman Reunites With Birth Mother 34 Years After Being Given Up For Adoption

screenshots of emotional tiktok video showing a woman reunited with her birth mother after 34 years

It sounds like something straight out of a movie, but an Utah woman who has been actively searching for her birth mother for over a decade finally found and reunited with her. Rachel Ruiz shared the emotional encounter on TikTok, where it has amassed over 4 million views. I finally reunited with my birth mom after 34 years! she captioned the video. My adoption was closed and Ive been trying to find her for over 10 years with failed attempt after failed attempt. The obstacles keeping them apart made their serendipitous reunion all the more moving.

In 1988, Angie Howard gave birth to Ruiz when she was only 17 years old and put her up for adoption after two weeks. Given the customs at the end of the 1980s, her adoption was closed, meaning that her adoptive and birth parents maintained their privacy and had no way of learning each others identity. The information given to the the adoptive family was very limited. They knew their babys birth mothers height, hair color, religion, education level, and hobbies, but nothing that could help actually identify or locate her.

Ruiz's parents never hid the fact that Rachel was adopted. My parents were open about telling me from a young age that I was adopted, so it wasnt a secret and I never felt as though I wasnt their daughter, she says. When she turned 18, she even received two symbolic gifts that were handed over during the adoption process: a knit blanket and a letter from her mom, written when she was born. In the letter, Howard wrote that she hoped they'd reunite someday. After reading her birth mother's words, she felt compelled to look for her. I wanted to show her that this decision was a good one and that I was happy and healthy, Ruiz told...

A Radically Honest Conversation About Surviving Depression | The Glenn Beck Podcast | Ep 181 "IndyWatch Feed Allcommunity"

Husband and wife Aaron and Teana Elmer have lived through the devastating realities of bipolar disorder and suicide attempts. Aaron says he used to be high-functioning. He took all AP classes, and at 17, he graduated from high school. He went to college, did really well, was independent, ready for life, hard-working and consistent. After a trauma event at 18, everything flipped, and his brutal battle with mental illness began. Teana, a psychiatric nurse practitioner, has always been Aarons greatest advocate. She knew when they met what she was signing up for and gives a raw account of what its like to be married to someone diagnosed with mental illness. This episode answers many of the most difficult questions that people are facing. What are depression and bipolar disorder? How do people suffering from them act? What do people get wrong about those diagnosed with a mental illness? Can we even help? Most of all, can a marriage survive it? Eugene-based artist Miranda Zimmerman, a.k.a. Faunwood, brings a playful ceramic menagerie to Portland this month for Slither, a nearly sold-out solo show at Antler Gallery. Informed by Faunwoods background in evolutionary biology, the adorable creatures meld art and science and are miniature renditions of amphibians and mammals, all stylized with the artists use of wide eyes and mottled glazes. The hand-sculpted characters are expressive and reflective of the organisms real-life anatomy, and their unique dispositions emerge through the firing process. Every ceramic critter I make comes out of the kiln with its own little personality and sass, sometimes completely different from what Im expecting, the artist writes on Instagram.

13 Eco-Friendly Tips on How To Reduce Your Garbage and Strive for Zero Waste

Zero Waste Living

The climate crisis affects everyone, and we all need to do our part to help mitigate the detrimental effects its having on our planet. While many of the solutions lie in the hands of governments and public policy reform, there are things that we, as individuals, can do to lessen our negative impact on the environment. One of the things we can all strive for is to live a zero-waste lifestyle.

So, what is zero waste? It's the practice of reducing the amount of waste you produce in your daily life to nothing. (Imagine throwing nothing away.) Being zero waste is great for the environment, especially as landfills are full and its becoming increasingly difficult to find new places to dispose of our trash. By reducing the amount of waste we produce, we help conserve resources and reduce pollution.

Opting for zero waste is also great for your wallet. Choosing reusable items over disposable ones often has a larger up-front cost but will save you money over time. A reusable water bottle, for example, is more expensive than a single bottle of water. But, when you think about how many bottles of water you won't have to buy in the future, it adds up.

If the idea of zero waste is intimidating, that's okay! Dont let it dissuade you from even trying in the first place. Its extremely difficult, especially in our culture of mass consumption, to live without making waste; disposable plastics and convenience items are everywhere you turn. Going zero waste isnt about being perfect, but rather making small changes that add up over time.

To get started, scroll down for some tips for zero-waste living.

Zero waste is the practice of reducing the amount of waste you produce in your daily life to nothing. Here are 13 tips to help you get started.

Bitcoin Magazine to Auction Historic Magazine Covers As 1 of 1 Inscriptions "IndyWatch Feed Allcommunity"

Historic 1/1 Ordinal inscriptions of the first 23 covers printed by Bitcoins oldest publication are up for grabs.

Bitcoin Magazine is launching its first-ever Ordinals collection, "Bitcoin Magazine Historic Covers." The collection features 1/1 inscriptions of the first 23 covers ever printed by Bitcoin Magazine, representing the publication's journey from its founding in 2012 to Bitcoins 10th anniversary in 2019.

The collection will be sold in a trust-minimized Dutch auction on the Gamma marketplace on Saturday, April 15. The launch will showcase cutting-edge auction technology in the Ordinals market that leverages partially-signed Bitcoin transactions (PSBT) to minimize trust in the auction process. Gamma will be releasing this technology with Bitcoin Magazine as a launch partner, providing buyers with a transparent and trust-minimized buying experience and ensuring the release of the inscription to the winning bid is automatic through the rules of the Bitcoin protocol.

Bitcoin Magazine Historic Covers collection offers a unique and limited-edition representation of Bitcoin Magazine's journey and captures the spirit of the Bitcoin community and the evolution of the Bitcoin landscape from the early days in 2012 until Bitcoins 10th anniversary in 2019. Each winner of a Historic Cover inscription will also receive a physical copy of the Bitcoin Magazine issue they purchased, further highlighting the unique history and scarcity of these publications.

David Bailey, CEO of Bitcoin Magazine, said, "We're experimenting at the edge of Bitcoin innovation and venturing into uncharted territory. Our Historic Covers collection is the start of Bitcoin Magazine's journey in the world of Ordinals. We're thrilled to offer our readers and the Bitcoin community a chance to own a piece of Bitcoin history."

The launch of the Ordinals collection by Bitcoin Magazine marks a new era in the world of Bitcoin, where fans and enthusiasts of the cryptocurrency can own a piece of history.

What Are The Akashic Records? "IndyWatch Feed Allcommunity"

Akasha (a-ka ska) is a Sanskrit word meaning ether: all-pervasive space. Originally signifying radiation or brilliance, in Indian philosophy akasha was considered the first and most fundamental of the five elements the others being vata (air), agni (fire), ap (water), and prithivi (earth). Akasha embraces the properties of all five elements: it is the womb from which everything we perceive with our senses has emerged and into which everything will ultimately re-descend. The Akashic Record (also called The Akashic Chronicle,) is the enduring record of all that happens, and has ever happened, in space and time.   ~ Ervin Lazlo This passage comes from the book Science and the Akashic Field written by two time Nobel Peace Prize nominee Ervin Lazlo, wherein the ancient Indian concept of an all-pervading and all-encompassing element or field (akasha), containing all experiences, events, and knowledge, both in objective and subjective expression, from the past, present, and future (as probabilities), receives modern scientific validation across a range of disciplines, including microphysics, cosmology, psychology and biology. Laslow discusses recent scientific discoveries showing that this Akashic field is real and has its equivalent in the zero-point field of quantum physics, which underlies space itself and is teeming with both energy and information. This primordial vacuum or void is believed to have pre-existed the Big Bang itself, and continues to be the underlying substrate for everything in the universe, connecting all things known and unknown, across unimaginably vast distances, making possible the faster-than-the-speed-of-light transmission of information...

The Climate Collapse Thesis "IndyWatch Feed Allcommunity"

This article was originally published by Max Borders at The American Institute for Economic Research.

In 2003, someone leaked a secret Pentagon report warning of the dire consequences of climate change.

Disruption and conflict will be endemic features of life, it reads. Once again, warfare would define human life.

The reports authors offer dramatic examples, including the claim that catastrophic shortages of potable water and energy would lead to widespread war by 2020. Britain would have winters similar to those in Siberia as European temperatures drop off radically by 2020.

In 2017, there was a war in Yemen. But it wasnt all that widespread. And Yemenis experienced water shortages, but not war due to a shortage of water.

Britain underwent milder winters in 2015, and there were slightly colder winters in the five years prior.

So 2020 came and went.

Of course, a credulous press, eager to propagate the dire warnings, had been happy to report what turned out to be false predictions. In other words, we never did get catastrophic water shortages and permafrost in Britain. How could the authors have gotten things so wrong?

To give you a better idea, lets zoom out.

Imagine were in a low intellectual orbit, high enough to get a wide shot but low enough to see some things. From this macro perspective, we want to evaluate a set of claims about climate change that we must connect to form a coherent theory. Lets take some familiar premises from what we might term the Climate Collapse Thesis and view them in their totality.

To accept the Climate Collapse Thesis that climate change ought to be seen as the number one potential driver of catastrophe we have to accept all of the following hypotheses:

  1. The earths atmosphere and oceans are warming.
  2. The earth is warming primarily due to emissions like carbon dioxide and methane, generated by people engaging in production, trade, transportation, and energy use.
  3. Scientists can limn the most important phenomena associated with a warming climate, and disentangle human causes from natural ones, extending into the distant past.
  4. The data gathered and then aggregated by the scientists are overwhelmingly error-free, and the scientists operate free of biases when packaging and presenting their data. (This special group of scientists suffers neither from a peer-review nor a replication crisis, and they are immune to the perverse incentives of government funding.)
  5. Even though individual scientists are working separately on different aspects of climatology and related fields, they can stitch these diverse aspects together into one complementary dataset, s...

Her Jaw Is Wired Shut. Is She Wrong For Not Wanting To Cook Dinner Every Night? "IndyWatch Feed Allcommunity"

In most households, one person probably ends up doing more of the cooking. That said, I would guess that one person would rather not have it be a daily chore and thats in the best of times.

In the worst of times, partners are supposed to be there to cover each other and relieve burdens, but this man doesnt seem to have gotten the message.

OP had to have jaw surgery and has been on a liquid-only diet for several months. Still, shes been preparing 3 meals a day for her son and dinner for the whole family, even though shes unable to really eat any of it.

I (40f) had jaw surgery in November, and have had my jaw wired shut ever since. Im mostly surviving on Ensure, blenderized soups, smoothies, and baby food. Its been tough. During this time, I have continued to make my childs breakfast every morning, make his lunch for school, do the grocery shopping, and make dinner most nights. Honestly, its torture.

My husband (40) works full time, and doesnt really feel like cooking when he gets home. I get it, but at the same time, making dinner every night, and having to watch and smell it cook when I know I cant eat it is awful. (And I know there are lots of ways to blend proper meals, but by the time I add enough broth, juice, etc. to make it drinkable, its disgusting.)

She confessed to her husband how hard this has become and asked him to cook at least a few times a week, but he refused since shes home on medical leave.

The other night, I asked if he could make dinner at least a few nights a week, and he got pretty offended. He said that since Im not working (Im on medical leave), its nice to come home to dinner being ready and not having to rush to start it.

OP thought she would force...

How To Use The Foundation Passport Batch 2 To Secure, Mix Your Bitcoin "IndyWatch Feed Allcommunity"

This guide explains how to use the Foundation Devices Passport Batch 2 hardware wallet for securing and mixing your bitcoin.

The Passport Batch 2 is the second-generation Bitcoin hardware wallet from Foundation Devices. Passport is built in the U.S., air gapped and utilizes open-source code. In this guide, you will see how simple self custody can be with a device like this, the differences between the Founders Edition and Batch 2 of the wallet and a walkthrough of select, advanced features.

Self Custody Made Simple

Self custody means that you are in control of your private keys: this is how you maintain unrestricted access to your bitcoin. By extension, unrestricted access to your bitcoin means that you can send or receive bitcoin with anyone in the world for any reason at any time. You don't need anyone's permission, you won't be held against any financial institution's moral standards and nobody can stop you from making the transactions that you want to make.

With great power comes great responsibility, however, and self custody also means that you are taking radical responsibility for your bitcoin. You and you alone are responsible for managing your private keys in a way that allows you to access them, but not your adversaries. There is no 1-800 help line, there is no reversing of transactions and there is no one who can help you recover lost or forgotten information. This may sound intimidating or complicated, but tools like Foundation's Passport make self custody very simple and relatively easy to manage.

Passport makes it possible to self custody your bitcoin on a cold-storage device; this way, your private key is kept on a device that never makes a connection to the internet. Through the use of QR codes to sign transactions and the accompanying Envoy app, using the Passport to receive, secure and send bitcoin is easy and intuitive, even without an internet connection directly to the device.

Unboxing

Passport is shipped in a nondescript white box. There will be a shipping label (peeled off for privacy reasons in this demonstration) and a blue, tamper-evident seal on the outside of the box. The tamper-evident seal will be placed over the opening flap of the box and the seal will have...

Her Sister Is Living With Her For Free. Is It Wrong To Expect Her To Babysit? "IndyWatch Feed Allcommunity"

I feel like weve seen a few posts like this, where parents expect free babysitting in exchange for one favor or another, but without clearing that expectation with the babysitter in question first.

Most of the time this definitely doesnt go in favor of the parents who just assumed, but other times, like with this post, they might have a point.

OP has taken in her sister, who is in college, because she was having roommate trouble and needed to move out quickly. They live in a different state from their parents, so she had nowhere else to do.

The sister doesnt pay any rent or anything like that, though she does contribute some to food and groceries.

I (f30) live with my husband (m31) ans our son (m5), my sister (f22) is still in college and has to move out with us three months ago because she had some issues with her roommates. Things were going fine until this argument, also she doesnt work but my parents send her some money for textbooks and groceries although she barely ever has contributed to the household since she moved in with us.

We also live in a different state from our parents and family so Im basically throwing her in the streets by kicking her out which would make me a big asshole.

Recently, OP and her husband ran into a babysitting snag with their 5yo. Their regular sitter had some health issues and needed to quit on short notice, which left the couple high and dry during the few hours between school and when they finished work.

So, my son comes back from school at around 3pm/3:30. My husband works until 6 and I work until 5 although sometimes I have to stay an hour or two extra (this is not normal, maybe three or four times per month when were behind in a project). Horrifying 1906 Illustrations of H.G. Wells War of the Worlds "IndyWatch Feed Allcommunity"

War1

H.G. Wells War of the Worlds has terrified and fascinated readers and writers for decades since its 1898 publication and has inspired numerous adaptations. The most notorious use of Wells book was by Orson Welles, whom the author called my little namesake, and whose 1938 War of the Worlds Halloween radio play caused public alarm (though not actually a national panic). After the occurrence, reports Phil Klass, the actor remarked, Im extremely surprised to learn that a story, which has become familiar to children through the medium of comic strips and many succeeding and adventure stories, should have had such an immediate and profound effect upon radio listeners.

War5

Surely Welles knew that is precisely why the broadcast had the effect it did, especially in such an anxious pre-war climate. The 1898 novel also startled its first readers with its verisimilitude, playing on a late Victorian sense of apocalyptic doom as the turn-of-the-century...

Show With 17 Unknown Bands That Will Break up Within a Year Rebranded as Festival "IndyWatch Feed Allcommunity"

TAUNTON, Mass. An overbooked Saturday matinee show at the Taunton American Legion featuring over a dozen unknown bands is being rebranded as Weapons of War Fest, confirmed promoters who made sure their band plays during the best slot of the day.

We wanted to keep the show pretty small so we only had eight bands playing, but then hype really started building and I was booking hardcore bands from here all the way to Franklin, said Shane Muldowney, fest organizer and guitarist of Pain Principle. Since there are so many bands we decided the best way to get everyone paid is to really push people towards the merch table, the only problem is only two of the bands on the show have shirts, and everyone else is still in the process of recording a demo. So some of the bands are going to sell some of their dads old records and hope thats enough to cover gas.

Bands playing the fest have been hard at work with promotion in order to get the biggest turnout possible.

I told my parents, my girlfriend, and two of my neighbors who definitely said they might come. This will be our third show, and this time we are playing about eight minutes of our own material and then about six Cro-Mags covers, said Owen Celia, lead singer of recently formed hardcore band Sanctity. Im not sure how many people we can draw that will actually pay, I already promised a few people I could get them in for free, they just need to come early and carry an amp or two. I heard one of the bands playing has a brother that dated a girl who lived with someone that knows a rep at Rise Records, so this will be good for networking.

Local scene historian Salty Sam OLeary says local shows often suffer from too many bands being added.

Ive seen this too many times. A young kid finally gets the guts to pony up $750 to rent out an event space and then he goes ham inviting every band on the eastern seaboard to play, said OLeary. Most of these bands will break up in a few months, then they will start new bands with people they met at the shows and suddenly flyers will be saying things like featuring ex-members of some bullshit nobody gives a dick about. Getting some of his deposit back is the best this kid can hope for, but someone will most likely break a window or set a curtain on fire.

Update: During our reporting Weapons of War Fest added another 12 bands and a second day at a different location 45 minutes away.

Every The White Stripes Album Ranked "IndyWatch Feed Allcommunity"

Its hard to imagine what the state of Indie Rock would be today without the arrival of the White Stripes. Their minimalist classic rock approach paved the way for great bands like The Strokes, while their heavier riffs inspired shittier ones, like Royal Blood. Whether youre a burgeoning guitarist that loves to play loud and dirty, or a talentless white guy on the internet debating whether or not Meg White is a good drummer (she is), the White Stripes have likely made an impact on you since their inception 25 years ago. Ahead of their potential induction to the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, we present a ranking of their albums that definitely wont anger anyone.

6. Get Behind Me Satan (2005)

This should honestly rank higher for being so bat-shit crazy, but its mostly a bore. Yes there are some classics, but thats what Greatest Hits compilations are for. Get Behind Me Satan marks the proverbial beginning of the end for the White Stripes, where the playful Willy Wonka persona of Jack White started to become his actual personality. His head was so engorged by past praise he had to wear a goofy-ass top hat to keep it contained. This album was released at a time in which the Stripes could do no wrong. Jack challenged this notion by putting, like, five songs on the record where the main instrument is a goddamn marimba.

Play It Again: Red Rain
Skip It: The Nurse

5. De Stijl (2000)

The title of this album is a reference to the 1920s minimalist art movement of the same name, and the contents of this offering are about as bland as that sounds. Jack and Meg divorced shortly before this album was recorded, which was such a traumatic experience for Jack...

Special Edition of Skinamarink Contains Blooper Reel "IndyWatch Feed Allcommunity"

LOS ANGELES Experimental horror movie director Kyle Edward Ball revealed the special edition of his film Skinamarink will contain a much-anticipated blooper reel, confirmed sources who couldnt wait to make an ending explained YouTube video for it.

At the end of the day, these bloopers are open to interpretation, and its up to the viewer to determine whether theyre funny, said the director of the analog horror film. Theres one where the dad inadvertently steps on one of the many Lego pieces with his bare feet and writhes around in pain while the crew points and laughs uncontrollably. Then theres another where the production assistant accidentally turns on a light so the audience can momentarily see everything thats going on in the frame. Then of course theres that one where the demonic voice coming from upstairs improvises the line whazzup like from that old commercial. We almost used that take too. Safe to say, it was hard to keep a straight face while making this film.

Fans of the motion picture are pumped for the supplemental content.

This movie and its special features contain everything I love: obscure horror, unnerving cinematography, and actors fucking up, said film enthusiast Craig Chambers. The blooper reel surprisingly had a more coherent narrative and plot than the actual film itself. Honestly, I know these gags arent for everyone, but you really have to see the reel in the theater to get the full experience. Not to mention these are the most groundbreaking cinematic goofs Ive ever seen on screen. I dont care if critics are calling it pretentious. Go see the blooper reel.

Film critic Nance Claiborne was all too familiar with bizarre movie extras.

There have been plenty of low-budget horror movies throughout history that have had special features you wouldnt expect, said Claiborne. For instance, the DVD extras of The Blair Witch Project contained a good 80 hours of deleted scenes that included cast members meticulously setting up their tents in complete silence as well as a fourth member of the group that died of hypothermia early on. Also, the extras for Paranormal Activity curiously had a commentary track from the sets food caterer. Horror filmmakers really like to get strange with their work.

At press time, Bell revealed that the special edition will also contain alternate endings, including one where the whole thing was a dream and the family is seen ordering appetizers at their local Applebees.

Poser Mozart Fan Wasnt Even At The Theater auf der Wieden in Vienna for The 1791 Debut of Die Zauberflte "IndyWatch Feed Allcommunity"

VIENNA, Austria Self-proclaimed hardcore Mozart fan Ted Zarusky is facing criticism due to the fact he only started listening to the composer sometime within the last 20 years, according to Vienna Scene sources.

Ive been listening to Mozarts entire catalog since I was in seventh grade, said a very defensive Zarusky. And Im not talking about Eine Kleine Nachtmusik, K525 or Piano Sonata in A, K331. No, Im talking about shit you never hear the National Symphony Orchestra even touch like Maurerische Trauermusic, K477 and Piano Duet Sonata in F, K497. Just because I wasnt at some show doesnt mean Im not fully committed. I have all the recordings, even the early stuff he put out on tape through Gib ihnen den Stiefel Records. Plus, Ive been to his birthplace twice.

Local Austrian classical scene legend Brad Drestin is one of the many people skeptical of Zaruskys fandom.

We knew this guys story the second he walked into town, said Drestin, who has been gatekeeping classical music for the last 28 years. These assholes come in thinking theyre immediately one of us just because they read some shit article online and memorized the Kchel catalog. But this scene isnt about having a Ph.D. in music, this is about being there and supporting the scene whether concerts are happening in a music hall, or a palace garden. This is about being a part of history. And was this Ted guy there? No, he wasnt even there on that late summer night in 1791. Fucking poser all the way.

Musicologist Analise Mller of the Mozarteum University Salzburg is baffled by the whole discussion.

Mr. Zarusky is just listing compositions in Mozarts career, but its so scattershot, its like listening to someone recite a Wikipedia page, said Mller. And Drestin, good god, has this guy ever read a music history book in his life? Why would anyone pick this moment as the moment in Mozarts overall career? Within a few months of this show, Mozart would die, he barely did anything after The Theater auf der Wieden show. How to Build a Dollar Store Dental Kit for Your Bug Out Bag "IndyWatch Feed Allcommunity"

By the author of Preppers Natural Medicine and Prepping for a Pandemic.

Do you have a dental kit for your bug-out bag? Ive seen a lot of great bug-out bags loaded up with all manner of tacti-cool gear, tiny first aid kits stuffed into Altoid tins, and ultralight camping supplies. Thats wonderful and all, but wheres the dental kit?

For new preppers, a bug-out bag (BOB) holds the supplies you need to evacuate from your primary location to your (presumably safe) secondary location. Your bag is intended to get you from Point A to Point B.

Your Bug Out Bag Needs a Dental Kit

Since you arent living long-term out of your BOB, you may not think that dental supplies are as important as other supplies, like a good knife or paracord. After all, whatre a few days without brushing your teeth going to hurt, right?

Mouth pain is no joke. Imagine you ended up with some food stuck between your teeth. I find that wildly irritating and have to get it out. Otherwise, the gum swells, becomes tender, and sometimes bleeds. Food can stay stuck there, rotting, causing bacteria to breed like rabbits. Next thing you know, you have an infection.

If you think mouth pain is miserable now, imagine it post-SHTF, with no access to a local pharmacy and no local dentist. Why deal with that, when simple brushing and flossing can dislodge that bit of beef jerky from your teeth?

Heres another example for you. You are bugging out, and while eating, a cap breaks off or a filling comes out. If you have the right supplies, you can fix that and get on with your bug out. Hopefully, there is a dentist where you are going. And hopefully, that dentists office and still has power. But, imagine having to finish your bug out with an open cavity in your mouth.

You could fall and end up with a wound in your mouth, lose a tooth, or a half-dozen other things that are prevented by regular, daily dental hygiene. If this is going to be a long-term bug out, daily hygiene becomes even more important to prevent cavities, gum disease, and infections.

Dollar Store Dental Preps

Everyone gets strapped for cash once in a while. Some of us pinch pennies more often than others. While wholesale clubs and buying in bulk may give you the best deal for your dollar, not everyone has the cash up front to pay for a 5-pack of family-sized toothpaste. Never mind that the family-size toothpaste is way too big for a bug out bag anyway.

While I have dental kits for our familys emergency bags already, I decided to try a dollar store prepping experiment.

  • First, I would raid my local dollar and discount stores for dental hygiene supplies.

A clip from Dawsons Creek has resurfaced on Twitter and people are confused and amazed "IndyWatch Feed Allcommunity"

We admit that were a bit too old to have watched the vastly popular American teen-drama Dawsons Creek when it first aired, but that certainly doesnt prevent us from marvelling at this 7-second clip taken from the series, which has just gone viral on Twitter.

Its not so much the content of the excerpt which is attracting attention (someone being smacked in the face with a basketball), but rather the manner in which it was filmed. A directorial accident or perfectly designed camerawork? Whichever it was, it definitely looks very painful indeed.

Awkward Moments When People Offered Advice In Someones Area Of Expertise "IndyWatch Feed Allcommunity"

People love to give advice, or to sound as if they know a lot about a certain topic. Which is fine (if a bit annoying), unless the person your spouting knowledge to is actually a subject matter expert.

Here are 15 moments that could not have been more awkward for all parties involved.

15. Any number of things.

My parents are Italian, I speak Italian, and Ive had people in the U.S. who are 1/4 Italian at best, or who once ate Italian food, correct me on the pronunciation of any number of things.

Yeah, Ive forgotten how to say a lot of things, so maybe Im not a specialist per se, but sauce isnt called gravy in Italy, sorry.

14. Seen it with his own eyes.

My wife has a friend who studied zoology who once told me that cows cant run or jump. I grew up with them. I more than once had to run after or away from them after they had jumped a fence.

Cows are f**king fast when they want to be.

13. Not super easy.

I once had a lengthy argument with a guy about the Finnish language, he claimed that it was super easy and that he could speak it really well after a very short time studying it. He proceeded to give me some examples about compound words that he was able to easily deduce.

In his defense, most people would probably understand what he means (or at least guess), but none of the words were actual words used in the Finnish language and all of his sentences were either nonsensical or super wonky at best.

I just couldnt believe that a person who has studied the language for maybe four months would actually have an argumen...

How Many Have Died From COVID Vaccines? "IndyWatch Feed Allcommunity"

From Dr. Joseph Mercola

Since COVID-19 first entered the scene, exchange of ideas has basically been outlawed. By sharing my views and those from various experts throughout the pandemic on COVID treatments and the experimental COVID jabs, I became a main target of the White House, the political establishment and the global cabal.

Propaganda and pervasive censorship have been deployed to seize control over every part of your life, including your health, finances and food supply. The major media are key players and have been instrumental in creating and fueling fear.

I am republishing this article in its original form so that you can see how the progression unfolded.

Originally published: May 22, 2021

In a May 5, 2021, Fox News report, Tucker Carlson asked the question no one is really allowed to ask: How many Americans have died after taking the COVID vaccine?1

If you havent paid attention, the answer to this verboten (forbidden) question may shock you. Carlson points out (inaccurately, if you ask me) that vaccines have been shown to be generally safe, citing statistics on how many Americans have died after the seasonal influenza vaccine in recent years.

Each year, more than 165 million Americans get the flu shot, and according to the U.S. vaccine adverse event reporting system (VAERS), there were 85 reported deaths following influenza vaccination in 2017; 119 deaths in 2018; and 203 deaths in 2019. How do those rates compare to the death rates from the coronavirus vaccine? Carlson asks. The answer is, theres really no comparison.

How Many Have Died From COVID Vaccines?

Between mid-December 2020, when the first COVID-19 shots were rolled out, and April 23, 2021, at which point between 95 million and 100 million Americans had received their COVID-19 shots, there were 3,544 reported deaths following COVID vaccination.2

Thats 182 more deaths than cited by Carlson. As of April 23, 2021, VAERS had also received 12,618 reports of serious adverse events. In total, 118,902 adverse event reports had been filed. If, like Carlson estimates, about 30 people per day are dying from the shots, these numbers will grow by the hundreds each week.

Carlson also cites data from an investigation by the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, which found that VAERS catches a mere 1% of vaccine injuries,3,...

A Handful of Companies Control the Global Propaganda "IndyWatch Feed Allcommunity"

In her book "One Idea to Rule Them All, Reverse Engineering American Propaganda," Michelle Stiles reveals how the American public (and indeed the global population at large) have been indoctrinated and conned by public relations (PR) companies that run the globalist cabal's propaganda campaigns. I will be interviewing Michele shortly for this book.

The PR agency creates a global media plan for a given client. It decides the articles to be written and where they're to appear. It then decides where ads will run and when. So, while drug companies appear to have a rather direct influence over media, it's really the PR firms that wield the greatest control, especially when it comes to the organization of it all.

They make sure the same message is distributed in many different places in a cohesively timed fashion. As such, PR companies are a central cog in the global propaganda machine and need to be understood as such.

On a side note, there are two designations for PR companies: public relations firms and ad agency holding companies. Ad agency holding companies do public relations but are primarily ad agency based.

A Russian Nesting Doll Model of the World

As detailed in "Who Owns the World?" a handful of private investment companies dominate every aspect of our lives and own everything we spend our money on, from food and beverages to clothing, travel, housing and just about everything else you can think of.

While there appear to be hundreds of competing brands on the market, like Russian nesting dolls, larger parent companies own multiple smaller brands. In reality, all packaged food brands, for example, are owned by a dozen or so larger parent companies.

These parent companies, in turn, are owned by shareholders, and the largest shareholders are the same in all of them: Vanguard and Blackrock. These institutional investors also own each other. They're shareholders in each other's companies, which erodes the concept of competition and strengthens the global monopoly even further.

Four Ad Holding Companies Dominate the Media Landscape

The four largest ad holding companies in the world are currently the Publicis Groupe, WPP, the Omnicom Group and the Interpublic Group, and Stiles notes, all are "deeply interlocked with the corporate media, the military-industrial complex, and the policy elites."

Each agency, in turn, has smaller subsidiaries and affiliates, again giving us the illusion that there are far more players than there really are. And, as with everything el...

Where Does Courage Come From? "IndyWatch Feed Allcommunity"

This story, inspired by my conversation with Leslie Manookian, is about integrity, love, and spiritual spine.

We all know how the past three years have been. The past three years have been tough. They have also been a dramatic litmus test for everything in our lives: our character, our relationships, and our ability to say no to abuse and fight back.

We usually discover our courage when we realize that its a matter of life and death. When things get tough and abusive, when the world stop making sense, we get baffled at first but then we usually find our spine.

And so in 2020, when the outside world went nuts, life got very real and suddenly, it became very clear what each of us stood for.

Our superficial relationships? Gone. Gone like bubbles in the wind. But as our wobbly relationships went down in flames, our soul relationships got stronger, and new soul relationships appeared. And since we are all unique individuals, walking our unique paths, the experiences we brought to 2020 were also unique. Some of us discovered the abusive streak of the world in 2020 for the first time, and some of us had been getting ready for this for years. Leslie Manookian is the latter camp.

Leslies Background

Leslie Manookian is a veteran of health freedom movement. She is a fierce health freedom advocate and an extraordinary woman. When I was interviewing her, I was moved beyond words.

Among other things, Leslie is the person whom we can thank for not having to wear a mask on the plane. It was her organizations lawsuit that struck down the federal travel mandate in 2022. Even the hit piece that Bloomberg Magazine did on Leslie last year acknowledged that.

Leslie is a stunning human being who is not afraid to put her actions where her mouth is. Years ago, she walked away from a star career as a very successful Wall Street executive and from many millions of dollars to fight for her truth and be a health freedom advocate.

One day in Leslies past life as a Director at Alliance Capital in London managing their European Growth Portfolio Management and Research, she had a conversation with a big pharmaceutical company about their troubled stock. The stock was troubled because the company was about to release a blockbuster drug (according to Leslie, its a drug we know) but the word had gotten out that people were dying in their clinical trials.

And so, to reassure the big investors, the pharmaceutical company set up meetings and revealed that, yes, unfortunately, the FDA would have the...

Second Phase Of Fluoride Lawsuit Set To Begin In January 2024 "IndyWatch Feed Allcommunity"

The U.S. government and plaintiffs have agreed to begin a second phase of the long-delayed fluoride lawsuit in January 2024.

On Tuesday Judge Edward Chen, the Fluoride Action Network (FAN), and the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency set a date of January 29, 2024 for the second phase of the ongoing fluoride lawsuit. The second phase of the trial is set to last one to two weeks.

Click the image to watch a video update from author Derrick Broze

The FAN sued the EPA after their 2016 petition under the Toxic Substances Control Act was denied. Since that time the plaintiffs and the U.S. government have been locked in a legal battle, with FAN attempting to prove that fluoride is a neurotoxin and should be regulated or banned under the TSCA.

The courts decision comes only weeks after the U.S. National Toxicology Program released a previously suppressed draft report from May 2022 which concluded that higher fluoride exposure is consistently associated with lower IQ in children. The NTP also released a July 2022 meta analysis, titled Association between fluoride exposure and childrens intelligence: A systematic review and meta-analysis. The scientists behind this meta analysis drew similar conclusions as the monograph, writing:

This meta-analysis confirms results of previous meta-analyses and extends them by including newer, more precise studies with individual-level exposure measures. The consistency of the data supports an inverse association between fluoride exposure and childrens IQ.

During Tuesdays hearing, FANs lead attorney Michael Connett told Judge Chen that the release of these documents means the court now has sufficient data to make a decision on the toxicity of...

Is a Rare Black Jesus Stained-Glass Portrait a Result of White Guilt? "IndyWatch Feed Allcommunity"

For nearly 150 years, a stained-glass window portraying Jesus and three biblical women as Black hung at St. Marks, an 1830 Greek Revival church in Warren, Rhode Island. Its said to be the only known stained-glass depiction of a Black Christ. Installed in 1878, the window also suggests a radical representation of gender parity: Christ speaks to three women positioned at the same visual level, who are engaged in household labor. But what might first appear as a transgressive statement on equality may actually represent a group of White womens efforts to come to terms with their own connections to slavery.

The window, featuring a Black Jesus, was commissioned in 1877 by Mary P. Carr, a wealthy White widow, and donated to the church in honor of two other wealthy White women in Warrens Episcopalian community Ruth B. DeWolf and Hannah Gibbs. There is little information about DeWolf and Gibbs, but its known that DeWolf married into a family that made its wealth from the slave trade. Its also known that the two women made donations to the American Colonization Society (ACS), which advocated for formerly enslaved peoples emigration to Africa in the first half of the 1800s. The ACS established a colony on the west coast of Africa in 1822, whic...

People Share the Things That Have No Basis in Fact "IndyWatch Feed Allcommunity"

People believe lies for all kinds of reasons. Sometimes its because we dont know any better, and other times its because we need to believe in something, even if we know deep down its not true.

That said, these 15 people say these particular lies have worn out their welcome.

14. Family doesnt get a pass.

That when youre related to someone, particularly in regards to parents, all things should be forgiven and forgotten.

I wholeheartedly believe that when someone has been or becomes toxic, manipulative, abusive, or hurtful and has no intention of changing bad behaviors or treating you with any decency that these people should not get to be a part of your life, and that being related does not give someone a free pass to say and do what they want with no repercussions. Everyone should be allowed to feel safe and loved.

It is a heartbreaking thing to cut contact with people you should have been able to be safe with, and the decision does not ever come easy. Sometimes, it is a very necessary thing to ensure the safety and security of yourself, your children, or other loved ones.

The stories that have been shared in the comments associated with mine are tragic, and no one should have to go through these things, especially not alone. I am truly so very sorry for all those that can relate to what I have said, and how I said it. I hope you all find peace, comfort, and a solid support system.

80yo Man Chased Down, Tasered, Nearly Killed By Police For Driving 3 mph Over the Speed Limit "IndyWatch Feed Allcommunity"

This article was originally published by Matt Agorist at The Free Thought Project.

For driving three mph over the speed limit, an 80-year-old man was nearly killed by police.

In a shocking display of excessive force, an 80-year-old man from eastern Kansas found himself tased without warning by officers who chased him down for driving a mere three mph over the speed limit. This week, John Sigg filed a federal lawsuit against the Allen County sheriffs office, detailing the excessive force used against him and seeking justice for the outrageous actions of those sworn to protect and serve.

On April 16, 2021, Sigg was clocked at 38 mph in a 35 mph zone by a lieutenant with the Iola Police Department in Allen County. Because his job description entails extorting, kidnapping, and caging people for arbitrary victimless crimes, the officer then decided to give chase, and multiple police vehicles trailed Sigg for several minutes.

Unaware that he was the subject of the pursuit, the elderly man drove to his familys car lot and parked. As he exited his vehicle, he found himself surrounded by officers from various agencies none of whom questioned the ridiculous and oppressive nature of pursuing an elderly man to extort him for slightly exceeding the speed limit.

The lawsuit alleges that two Chanute police officers pulled their guns on Sigg, who looked at them with confusion and raised his hands, as seen in a screenshot of body-camera footage. Then, without any warning, a now-former deputy with the Allen County Sheriffs Office tased Sigg, despite the manufacturer of the TASER X2 explicitly cautioning against using the device on elderly individuals.

The abrupt tasing caused Sigg to fall like a rock, resulting in a head injury. His attorney, Randall Rathbun, wrote in the lawsuit that Sigg was disoriented and struggled to understand the situation. Even today, Sigg remains incredulous about the officers excessive use of force.

Sigg mumbled and was hard to understand, Rathbun wrote in the lawsuit. As officers talked with him on the scene he indicated that he did not know what was going on and did not feel right.

The lawsuit highlights that other officers on the scene recognized the deputys conduct as excessive and were disturbed by it yet they all failed to stop it. Siggs petition seeks a judgment of $250,000 in actual damages and $250,000 in punitive damages.

The Allen County Sheriffs Office has yet to comment on the matter. However, court records indicate that Sigg later pleaded guilty to fa...

Tamara Laniers Emotional Distress Suit Against Harvard Forges Ahead "IndyWatch Feed Allcommunity"

Last December, and for the second time, Harvard University filed a motion to dismiss a lawsuit brought by Tamara Lanier, a Black woman seeking ownership of daguerreotypes of her enslaved ancestors held in the schools Peabody Museum. But Laniers suit, in which she alleges that she suffered emotionally as a result of the schools retention of the images and its conduct surrounding her claims, will now forge ahead.

In a hearing today, April 13, the Middlesex County Superior Court in New Jersey rejected Harvard Universitys motion to dismiss and its request that Lanier amend sections of her complaint. Last summer, the Massachusetts Supreme Judicial Court established that Harvard is not legally obligated to return the photographs effectively dismissing Laniers property claims but ruled unanimously that she could pursue a case related to the physical and emotional consequences she suffered. In that ruling, the court opined that Harvard cavalierly dismissed her ancestral claims and disregarded her req...

Queer Love Shines in a Bronx Exhibition "IndyWatch Feed Allcommunity"

Living in Downtown Brooklyn, I did a double-take at the projected Google Maps journey to Bedford Park in the Bronx to view a group show called Queer Love at Lehman College Art Gallery. The hour-and-a-half transit with multiple transfers gave me plenty of time to wonder if I was wasting a whole day to see an exhibition that, by title alone, could easily just lean into the existing wave of White queer navel-gazing through self-centered portraiture accessorized with monstera plants and exaggerated color palettes.

But upon entering the gallery, I was presented with an array of 2D works by approximately four dozen LGBTQ+ artists from all walks of life. Not only did the exhibition content chip away at my intrinsic cynicism, but the deliberate considerations of materiality, scale, and craft emphasized the truth that queerness is something thats both visually and emotionally beautiful.

Ukraine President Zelensky Asks Albo For Cars From Mad Max "IndyWatch Feed Allcommunity"

The Ukrainian government has sent a formal request to Australia to send over all the cars from Mad Max to help it win the war against Russia.

The Bushmaster is a fine military vehicle but if we really want to kick Putins arse were going to need the V8 Ford Intercepter, that Volkswagen with all the spikes on it and whatever it was the prick with the fire breathing guitar was riding around on, said Volodymyr Zelensky in a desperate phone call with Anthony Albanese. A few of those boomerangs with the blades on them that the feral kid was tossing around wouldnt go astray either.

News that the Ukrainian war effort was going to be boosted by Max Rockatanskys pursuit vehicle has reportedly had the head of Russias special forces pleading with Vladimir Putin to negotiate a cease fire.

I am the Nochnoy Vsadnik. I am a rocker, a roller, an out of controller, a fuel injected suicide machine but Im fucked if Im going to take on the Ford Intercepter just because old Dobby the House Elf has his knickers in a twist over being left on the shelf when the cold war ended. Stuff that.

The request for the cars from Mad Max comes on the heels of reports that Yuriy Sak, advisor to the Ukrainian Defence Minister, had been spotted last September eyeing off vehicles at the Deniliquin Ute Muster.

Required Reading "IndyWatch Feed Allcommunity"

  • A new study just revealed that the Benin Bronzes, whose repatriation to West Africa is an ongoing fight, may have been created from the same metal used in manillas, a form of currency during the trans-Atlantic slave trade. For Smithsonian Magazine, Sean Kinglsey reports:

According to the documents, the brass rings used to craft the bronzes were purchased by one country: Portugal. In 1548, the Portuguese king commissioned the Fuggers, a German merchant family, to supply 432 tons of manillas (almost 1.4 million individual bracelets) over a three-year period. From the Rhineland, the brass manillas were sent to the markets of Antwerp in Belgium, then exported to Lisbon before finally being traded in West Africa.

Portugals connections to the Kingdom of Benin are well documented. Portuguese merchants fir...

Are We No Longer Just Consumers, but the Consumed? "IndyWatch Feed Allcommunity"

From Gary Sharpe: . . . our purpose in life seems to have become not just to be consumers of, but to be consumed by, monsters of our making. Our raison detre now seems to be not only to serve, but be served up to, our satanic systems. We have become the food and feedstock of the egregors (non-physical entities that arise from the collective thoughts and acts of groups of people) of our evil.

An example of this is how our livelihoods, time, creativity, effort, and earnings, are now just the foodstuff for the totally man-made and ephemeral systems called The Markets and The Economy.

. . . How we are giving, and giving up, the joy and playtime of the early years of our childrens lives to feed The School System. A system whose main purpose seems only to be to tenderize us early, to teach us learned helplessness, how to please and appease. To make ourselves more sweet, and digestible, for consumption by governmental, financial and institutional structures for the rest of their lives.

How we are now just spare body parts (literally in the case of profit-making blood and organ harvesting, and unnecessary extractive surgeries) to feed The Medical System and The Healthcare System . . .

How we are induced to fatten ourselves up (both literally and figuratively) for the sacrificial altars of Big Pharma, Food and Agriculture industries, so that they can feast on the profits . . .

How we voluntarily, at first, and then when this particular feedstock runs low, by conscription, give our young people over to be the cannon fodder of The War Machine.

How we are offering ourselves up to be drank dry by the vampires of The News Media and Big Tech, repeatedly being mesmerized and hypnotized by their divisive and rage-inducing clickbait.

It feels like even our democratic rights now only seem to be there to feed these systems. Indeed, perhaps we no longer live in a Democracy, but in a Demoncracy (Demonocracy?), where every four years or so, our purpose is to vote for the pecking order of the devilish agendas. Our electoral role is simply in the deciding of which of these beastly systems gets the first bite at us, and which are to be apportioned the lions share of our lives, like the proverbial turkeys voting for Christmas.

I suspect that those Powers that Be, the Elites who appear to be the main drivers, generators and creators of these systems, who profit the most in the short term, are actually now just the willing servers, waiters and butlers of the demonic systems, which they can no longer control. They too will eventually be consumed themselves as the sweetmeats of the feast. They will not only get their just desserts, but will, in the end, become just the desserts.

Having had this insight, it becomes difficult to unsee, but I think the solutions also reveal themselves in this vision. We avoid...

Its Time to Stop Supporting Zionist Israel "IndyWatch Feed Allcommunity"

Comments by Brian Shilhavy
Editor, Health Impact News

The recent massive protests in Israel against the Zionist Netanyahu government clearly show there are many Israelis today who do not support their government.

Why then are Evangelical Christians in the U.S. almost universally supportive of Israels Zionist criminals?

With the geopolitical landscape in the Middle East radically changing these days, it is time for America to stop supporting Zionist Israel, and to start focusing on developing our own economy and ending the funding of Israel and these endless wars in the Middle East.

The CIA and their sister organization in Israel, Mossad, have dominated western media with their propaganda that Israels military is simply defending Israel from Muslim terrorist groups who want to destroy Israel.

What is almost never reported in the western corporate media is that Israels attacks on Palestinians, Syrians, Lebanese, etc., are not simply just attacks on Muslim terrorists, as there are significant Christian populations as well in all of these locations who are also suffering from Israels actions.

We are featuring two articles on this topic today to hopefully educate people on the truth regarding modern-day Israel and their Christian Zionist roots, especially their infiltration into U.S. Evangelical Christianity.

The first one is an article published today by Chuck Baldwin of Liberty Fellowship. Baldwin mentions the two founders of Evangelical Christianitys Zionist movement, while the second article, by James Perloff, goes into much more detail regarding the history of Evangelical Christian Zionism.

Misleading and false portrayal of racism-related experiences leads to retraction "IndyWatch Feed Allcommunity"

A health services journal has retracted a recent commentary about diversity, equity and inclusion (DEI) activities at the University of Minnesota after the authors said they had unintentionally mischaracterized the authenticity of experiences represented.

The four-page commentary, titled Transactional and transformative diversity, equity, and inclusion activities in health services research departments, had appeared in the journal Health Services Research for almost three months before its retraction in March. It was co-authored by three employees at the University of Minnesota: professor Janette Dill, lecturer Stuart Grande and Tongtan Chantarat, a research scientist at the institution.

The article details the DEI-related activities within the schools Division of Health Policy and Management that were implemented from 2020 onwards amid calls for racial equity. (Minneapolis, where the universitys main campus is based, was the site of George Floyds murder in May 2020.) They label some efforts as performative, but go on to outline hopes for transformative change in the division referring to attempts to build trust and relationships with students and faculty belonging to racial and ethnic minority groups.

The article was a response to an earlier paper by Chantarat that surveyed health services researchers in the United States and found more than half did not believe their colleagues reflected the diversity of the communities affected by their research. Of the participants who said that their institutions had DEI initiatives, almost 40% described them as tokenistic, according to the study.

The retraction notice for the commentary stated:
