Johns Hopkins study shows lockdowns only reduced COVID-19 death rate by .2% "IndyWatch Feed Allcommunity"

Lockdowns during the first COVID-19 wave in the spring of 2020 only reduced COVID-19 mortality by .2% in the U.S. and Europe, according to a Johns Hopkins University meta-analysis of several studies. "While this meta-analysis concludes that lockdowns have had little to no public health effects, they have imposed enormous economic and social costs where they have been adopted," the researchers wrote. "In consequence, lockdown policies are ill-founded and should be rejected as a pandemic policy instrument." The researchers Johns Hopkins University economics professor Steve Hanke, Lund University economics professor Lars Jonung, and special advisor at Copenhagen's Center for Political Studies Jonas Herby analyzed the effects of lockdown measures such as school shutdowns, business closures, and mask mandates on COVID-19 deaths. "We find little to no evidence that mandated lockdowns in Europe and the United States had a noticeable effect on COVID-19 mortality rates," the researchers wrote. The researchers also examined shelter-in-place orders, finding that they reduced COVID-19 mortality by 2.9%. Studies that looked at only shelter-in-place orders found they reduced COVID-19 mortality by 5.1%, but studies that looked at shelter-in-place orders along with other lockdown measures found that shelter-in-place orders actually increased COVID-19 mortality by 2.8%. The researchers concluded that limiting gatherings may have actually increased COVID-19 mortality.

Lockdowns in the U.S. and Europe had little or no impact in reducing deaths from COVID-19 "IndyWatch Feed Allcommunity"

Lockdowns in the U.S. and Europe had little or no impact in reducing deaths from COVID-19, according to a new analysis by researchers at Johns Hopkins University. The lockdowns during the early phase of the pandemic in 2020 reduced COVID-19 mortality by about 0.2%, said the broad review of multiple scientific studies. "We find no evidence that lockdowns, school closures, border closures, and limiting gatherings have had a noticeable effect on COVID-19 mortality," the researchers wrote. But the research paper said lockdowns did have "devastating effects" on the economy and contributed to numerous social ills. "They have contributed to reducing economic activity, raising unemployment, reducing schooling, causing political unrest, contributing to domestic violence, and undermining liberal democracy," the report said. "Such a standard benefit-cost calculation leads to a strong conclusion: lockdowns should be rejected out of hand as a pandemic policy instrument," the paper concluded. Early on, many states and 186 countries imposed bans on work, socialization, in-person schooling, travel and other restrictions to limit the spread of the disease, citing recommendations by top health care experts. Researchers at the Imperial College London, for example, predicted that such steps could reduce death rates by up to 98%. That never happened, according to the new study by researchers Steve Hanke, Jonas Herby, and Lars Jonung at Johns Hopkins.

If we dont pause A.I., CHINA WILL WIN. Heres why. "IndyWatch Feed Allcommunity"

Some believe that its impossible to pause developments in artificial intelligence (A.I.), because if America puts it on hold, well lose the technological race to other nations like China. But thats NOT the case, Glenn says. In fact, if America doesnt pause AI, Glenn explains, then China will likely WIN. SHOCKING: School board CAUGHT calling parents a HATE CROWD "IndyWatch Feed Allcommunity"

If THIS kind of school board atrocity is occurring in Texas school districts, you can bet similar ones are occurring throughout the U.S. whether blue state OR red. In this clip, Glenn plays audio released from Current Revolt in which Frisco, TX ISD board members including the school board president Rene Archambault discuss tactics to delay a vote on transgender and bathroom policies. They also SHOCKINGLY describe concerned parents as a hate group. Glenn is joined by another member of the Frisco ISD School Board, Stephanie Elad, who discusses her initial reaction to the audio AND efforts to prevent her radical colleagues from making such decisions without district parents involved

Uniswap (UNI) Tanks As Bears Take Charge, Will The Bulls Come To Rescue? "IndyWatch Feed Allcommunity"

According to Uniswaps (UNI) price chart, the coin is moving sideways on the chart. As the market opened, the price dropped to $5.30, where UNI found little support.

Bulls are trying to regain control, but selling pressure is quite strong. The coin started exhibiting bearish momentum after April 19, 2023, when sharp crashes were observed in the chart. As of today, May 2, it has continued the bearish trend.

UNI Price Trend In April

Uniswap opened in April at $6.0603 and t traded around the same price level at the start of the next day before recording a pullback to $5.9461 at the close of the market. Luckily, UNI regained its grip above $6 on April 4.

UNI maintained the same price level from April 4 to 7 before dipping to $5.9191 on April 8. Thankfully, the price dip lasted for 5 days only. On the April 13 close of the market, UNI gained again above $6.

It remained at the level until April 20, when it lost the grip falling to the $5 price range and continuing till today, May 2.

Uniswap (UNI) Tanks As Bears Take Charge, Will The Bulls Come To Rescue?

Will Uniswap (UNI) Recover From This Downtrend?

The price of Uniswap is $5.31 as of today, May 02, 2023, indicating a loss of 1.74%. Also, its market cap is down by 2.05% at $3.06 billion with UNIs 24-hour trading volume down by 26.90% at $33 million.

The 1-day price chart for Uniswap price analysis indicates that the UNI bulls are doing their best to control the price decline. However, the bears are still in charge of todays price trend. But despite being under selling pressure today, the value of UNI/USD has only decreased by 1.74% percent over the past 24 hours.

UNI price is in a zone where investors or traders are afraid to buy UNI, and holders will likely sell due to the current market sentiment. As such, the downtrend might continue, except the bulls build back the bullish momentum.

Artist Hand-Cuts and Layers Colorful Sheets of Paper To Create Enchanting Mini Worlds "IndyWatch Feed Allcommunity"

Artist Hand-Cuts and Layers Colorful Sheets of Paper To Create Enchanting Mini Worlds

Paper Art by Margaret Scrinkl

Rather than creating a work of art from one sheet of paper, artist Margaret Scrinkl uses several. By layering multiple cutouts, she creates miniature worlds that are full of abundance. From cabins nestled in the woods to foxes huddled around a campfire, these playful compositions are full of whimsy.

Scrinkl also documents every part of her creative process. Each work begins by carving the needed shapes from different colored sheets of paper, using either a precision knife, a pair of scissors, or a combination of the two. Once all of the individual pieces have been made, Scrinkl assembles them together with glue and tape. This adds much-needed details to the subjects, such as windows to houses, or the white fur pattern of a fox. In fact, any color variation in the artwork has to be applied separately, making this approach extra meticulous.

The end result, however, is well worth the effort. Scrinkl's crisp cartoonish style makes these charming scenes burst with life. They are so perfectly rendered that it is not immediately apparent that they are made solely from cut paper. And the fact that the characters and settings are nestled inside a frame cut out of a larger piece of paper makes viewing these scenes all the more special. Each one is a small self-contained portal for us to peer into.

You can purchase prints of Scrinkl's work via her online shop, and keep up to date with her latest projects by following her Instagram.

Arbitrum (ARB) Price Displays Strength, Backed By On-Chain Activity "IndyWatch Feed Allcommunity"

The Arbitrum (ARB) price has retraced in line with the market-wide correction over the past few days, falling close to a critical support level. In the current environment, altcoins in general continue to show weakness across the board. However, one altcoin that is exhibiting relative strength, backed by on-chain activity, is ARB.

Arbitrum is an optimistic L2 rollup with the main purpose of helping Ethereum scale by enabling L2 transactions with much faster confirmation time. The project has established itself as one of the top names in decentralized finance (DeFi) in recent months. Remarkably, it also houses the most popular perpetual DEX with GMX.

ARB Price Shows Relative Strength

A look at the ARB/BTC chart (2-hour chart) shows that the altcoin has formed an uptrend in recent days. The ascending triangle has its resistance line at 0.00004737. If ARB writes further higher lows against BTC despite the generally pressured altcoins market, it could ultimately break through the resistance and rally towards 0.00004850.

Arbitrum ARB price

The 4-hour chart ARB/USDT reveals that Arbitrum is currently holding just above the most crucial support level at $1.29. If the price level is breached to the downside, the $1.20 to $1.24 range would be key.

To the upside, the key resistance is at $1.42. However, on the way up the 200-day EMA, currently sitting at $1.35, could also provide some minor headwinds. Fueled by a Bitcoin rally, however, the resistance at $1.42 seems within reach without further ado. Should BTC break above $30,000, ARB bulls could even target a move up to $1.56.

Three-Dimensional Narratives Spring from Antique Books in Emma Taylors Meticulous Paper Sculptures "IndyWatch Feed Allcommunity"

A sculpture of a ship made from an atlas.

Sailing the Seven Seas. All images Emma Taylor, shared with permission

From the pages of history books, novels, and atlases, Cambridgeshire-based artist Emma Taylor (previously) unfurls the written word into three-dimensional narratives. In one work titled Sailing the Seven Seas, a wooden ship glides over rippling pages. Others feature a woodpecker knocking at the side of Bird Life and Bird Lore or a tiny mouse curling up for a nap with Beatrix Potter. Using materials from vintage world maps to The Lore of the Falcon, the artist constructs paper sculptures in painstaking detail, which appear to surface organically from the contents.

During the past few years, Taylor has experimented with different ways to position each copy, focusing on a variety of arrangements and expanding her earlier emphasis on building upward from an open spread. More valuable titles with colorful cloth covers form the basis for pieces, while others are deconstructed, reassembled, and given a new chapter. I spend hours scouring antique shops, market stalls, and online bookstores in order to source topical books, typically dating to the first half of the 20th century, she says. I instantly know the right book, as I can picture the sculpture as if it has been laying dormant, just waiting to be given form.

Taylor recently showed some of the work you see here at Byard Art in Cambridge, and you can find more on her we...

The System Is Starting To Unravel At A Pace That Is Absolutely Breathtaking "IndyWatch Feed Allcommunity"

This article was originally published by Michael Snyder at The Economic Collapse Blog.

It should have been apparent to everyone that the dark clouds on the horizon would bring a storm, and now the rain is furiously falling all around us.  Our entire system is being viciously shaken, and the dominoes are going to continue to fall in the months ahead.

Once Silicon Valley Bank and Signature Bank went down, we all knew that it was just a matter of time before more large banks started to implode.  Now First Republic has failed, and over the weekend U.S. regulators were working very hard to arrange a sale

U.S. regulators have been trying to clinch a sale of First Republic over the weekend, with roughly half a dozen banks bidding, sources said on Saturday, in what is likely to be the third major U.S. bank to fail in two months. Guggenheim Securities is advising the FDIC, two sources familiar with the matter said on Saturday.

As a I write this article, that still hasnt happened yet.

But it could happen at any moment.

When a sale is finally announced, the FDIC is also expected to tell us that it has seized First Republic

The Federal Deposit Insurance Corp is expected to announce a deal on Sunday night before Asian markets open, with the regulator likely to say at the same time that it had seized the lender, three sources previously told Reuters.

They are trying to time everything so that as little panic as possible is created.

But I feel really badly for those that owned First Republic stock.

It was going for about 120 dollars a share at the beginning of March, and once the bank is seized by federal regulators it will almost certainly be worthless.

That is how fast these things can happen.

More dominoes will fall throughout the rest of 2023, and you dont want to be caught holding the bag.

So do what you need to do while you still have time.

When the Federal Reserve decided to go nuts with their rate hikes, we all knew that this would put enormous pressure on the banks, and that is precisely what has happened.

We also knew that higher rates would crush the housing market, and last month pending home sales...

Early days we know but leading contender for comeback of the week is already a runaway hot favourite.

Its a response to this bigoted Christian who wanted recommendations for a nail bar more in common with them spiritually, apparently. And it got just the response they deserved.

Who Benefits From The New York Times Attacks On Bitcoin? "IndyWatch Feed Allcommunity"

A recent editorial attack on Bitcoin mining by The New York Times raises questions about its journalistic integrity and editorial process.

This is an opinion editorial by Level39, a researcher focused on Bitcoin, technology, history, ethics and energy.

Does one of the largest individual shareholders of The New York Times benefit from the publications recent hit piece on Bitcoin mining?

The article, "The Real-World Costs Of The Digital Race For Bitcoin," attacked the role of Bitcoin miners who participate in sanctioned demand-response programs within the Electricity Reliability Council Of Texas (ERCOT), the states energy grid. These programs provide ancillary and demand-response services that enable variable renewable power to be profitable and readily available when consumer demand rises. They also allow for grids to remain reliable during extreme weather events, such as Winter Storm Uri in February 2021.

In its haste to attack Bitcoin mining, The New York Times appears to have reversed more than a decade of support for pro-renewable, demand-response programs and has potentially handed the Texas legislature fodder to limit competition on the Texas grid, in favor of policies that promote natural gas peaker plants and pipelines.

Who Is Carlos Slim?

Cryptocurrency: the Battle Rages in the War on Consciousness "IndyWatch Feed Allcommunity"

Whether we realise it or not, humanity is being engaged in a war on consciousness. It goes back aeons, at least to the time of hybridisation during the epoch known as Atlantis. Now, the current iteration is a full-on attempt to frog-march souls into the Metaverse. The bogus measures of the pandemic began the new war. Then it moved into the global resource and energy chains. Now, it has shifted to the financial sector. Let's explore how the valiant crusader of cryptocurrency is fighting for the freedom of humanity.

The Sinking of Atlantis

Life on the planet is terraforming in the most dramatic upheaval since the sinking of Atlantis some 12,000 years ago. Atlantis being the epoch beginning around 250,000 years ago, where an interdimensional intervention hybridised Homo Sapiens to fit within an enslaved system.
The global civilisation of Atlantis came to an abrupt end, in just 3 days, when a solar micro nova flash brought the then ice age to a tulmultuous conclusion, melting the ice and sending a deluge of water around the planet. It's the "Event" that spawned a thousand mythologies all based on this fundamental truth. Check the evidence how the solar nova flash devastated civiliisation
But the intervention didn't entirely go away. It regrouped and rebuilt, progressively over time, until we have the society we're living in now. Yet again, we await the culmination of the next 12,000-year cycle, which the intervention knows only too well, and so is desperately ramping up its efforts to take a swathe of humanity into the Metaverse and off planet. That's its ultimate agenda. Explore...

Internet Computer (ICP) Bleeds, What Are The Chances For Reversal? "IndyWatch Feed Allcommunity"

Internet Computer (ICP) is trading red, hovering around the $5.6 price mark today, May 2, 2023. According to its daily chart, the bearish trend began two days ago, following three-day bullish moves.

The turn in the market sentiment has resulted in the recent plunge in ICP price. Aside from this, the worlds largest cryptocurrency, Bitcoin, is also down by 1.89% over the past 24 hours.

This could also be a factor affecting ICPs price at the moment. While a reversal is not certain, some technical indicators can show whether or not the chances are high.

Internet Computer (ICP) Price Outlook

Judging from the ICP price of $3.9309 at the start of 2023, the token has made more bullish moves than bearish ones. ICP currently trades at $5.719, showing a 24-hour price decline of 5.99%.

The tokens market cap has dropped by 6.50% in the last 24 hours to around $2.46 billion. The trading volume within the same period has also declined by 20.69%, hovering around $60,208,714.

The plummeting value of the trading volume indicates more selling pressure among investors and traders. If this trend continues, ICP may likely see its price fall to the $5 price level before the end of the day.

Moreover, data suggests that the general price prediction sentiment of the Internet Computer token is bearish. Based on its findings, 17 indicators signal a bearish trend, while 11 technical indicators display bullish signals. But lets consider some major indicators from the daily chart to confirm its potential move further.

ICP Technical Analysis

The price of the Internet Computer token is currently above the 50-day and 200-day Simple Moving Averages. While that is supposed to indicate a buy tendency, the Relative Strength Index (RSI) negates it, as it stands at 50.42. This figure suggests a neutral state in the ICP market but with higher odds of selling pressure.

Bitcoin Market Update: Up Or Down, Whats Next As Fed Rate Hike Looms? "IndyWatch Feed Allcommunity"

Bitcoin bears have gained control over the last few weeks, at least in the short term, and the battle seems to be on. After Bitcoin failed again at the $30,000 level on Sunday as part of a weekend pump, the bears are pushing towards $27,000.

As of press time, Bitcoin was hovering around $28,000, having already tested key support at $27,800 yesterday evening (EST). The long-term trend continues to be clearly in favor of the Bitcoin bulls, for which a price above $25,000 speaks. However, in the short term, the key is to defend the $27,800 level to avoid a deeper correction to $25,000, as also indicated by analyst XO.

Bitcoin Remains In Trading Range

For technical analyst Michal van de Poppe, founder of Eight Global, breaking through $28,400 on the shorter time frame is the trend-setting price level. Breaking through $28.4K and we could be back to $30K in a few days. Not breaking and folding coming days, $25K next. Big volatility on the horizon, the analyst warns.

However, the current weakness that Bitcoin is displaying with hovering around $28,000 could be an indication that another sweep of the lows is needed to generate new upside momentum. Still eyeing $27.8K for a potential long here, or a break and flip of $28.4 for Bitcoin, van de Poppe notes.

Glassnode co-founders Yann Allemann and Jan Happel write in their latest analysis that Bitcoins April monthly close was a major sign for the bulls. BTC closed in green for the fourth consecutive month. According to the analysts, the short-term trading channel is between $27,000 $29,200.

[B]ut we are confident that we will be over $30k in no time. Our thesis solidifies the longer were above the highly active $28 $28.2k level. Notice the large horizontal bar.

How the Art of Patrick Nagel, Still Seen in Nail Salons Today, Crystallized the 1980s Aesthetic "IndyWatch Feed Allcommunity"

To find a visual definition of the nineteen-eighties, you need look no further than the windows of the nearest run-down hair or nail salon. There, faded by time and years of sun damage, remain on makeshift display the most widely recognized works of or imitations of the works of artist and illustrator Patrick Nagel, who specialized in images of women with sleek black hair, paper-white skin, bold red lipstick and a look of mystery, power, and cool detachment. So says Evan Puschak, better known as the Nerdwriter, in his new video essay above on the sudden rise and lasting cultural legacy of the Nagel women.

As Puschak tells the story, the figure responsible for launching Nagel and his women into the zeitgeist was publisher Karl Bornstein, who had been in Europe admiring the work of Toulouse-Lautrec and Pierre Bonnard, Parisian poster artists of the late nineteenth century, and came back to America looking for an artist of his own time when Nagel walked into his life.

Would You Still Send A Gift If You Were Uninvited To A Wedding? "IndyWatch Feed Allcommunity"

Weddings, yall. They sometimes feel as if they take over the Am I The A$$hole sub, because they apparently make formerly rational human beings act like complete nuts.

This OP is a guy with a large friend group, money to burn, and a generous attitude. So, when he was invited to the wedding of an acquaintance he accepted, and also told them hed like to get them a (pretty expensive) gift.

I(32m)was invited to a wedding of an acquaintance of mine named Molly a few months ago. Im not super close to her or her fianc, but I love weddings so I said yeah Ill go.

Now, the relevant part here is that I have a very good career and make an excellent living. Plus I love giving gifts and splurging a bit. So, I spoke with Molly and her fianc and promised them a custom made gaming pc since they game together.

They were very happy, and thanked me a lot . The price of the pc would come out to be a little over $1500, not counting the monitor I was willing to throw in.

Then, he was uninvited.

The bride said the reason was costs, but he learned from a friend that it was actually to make room for some of the grooms family that wasnt originally set to come.

A two months ago, Molly told me that unfortunately I had to be uninvited to the wedding as part of a cost cutting measure. She apologized, but assured me it was only because of cost. I was upset, but let it go.

Then I found out a week or so later from a mutual acquaintance that was still going that Molly told her she had to cut people because she needed the invites for some of the grooms family who decided to come.

I was pissed, so I decided to not give Molly the PC I promised.

OP received a call after the ceremony asking about the gift (cheeky!) and said he wasnt going to give it to them, seeing that he did not atte...

Gen Z Drummer Leaves Stage Mid Set Because Vibe Was Off "IndyWatch Feed Allcommunity"

CINCINNATI, Ohio Four songs into a set by local band Sewer Grates, drummer Ryan Richards walked off stage stating that the vibes were off, perplexed older sources confirm.

Playing the drums, I never get a say in anything as it is, said 23 year old Richards. Im just glad to get to play gigs, period, but they honestly get pretty repetitive for me, especially because all my bandmates are getting kinda up there in age. And then someone in the crowd yelled play something good, which seems super toxic to me. So I had just had it and dipped. I dont owe negative people my time, I gotta protect my energy.

Other members of the Sewer Grates lament that Ryan belongs to a generation of musicians who cannot tolerate any form of negativity.

Nowadays its hard just finding a drummer at all, said singer-bass player Steve The Snake Wojekowski. I knew something was up when he started burning sage in the rehearsal space to clear out the bad energy from the guy he replaced, but Im a Gen Xer just assumed it was skunk weed at first. I never thought hed walk off the stage like that though. Weve had guys both pass out on us and get into fights on stage and get kicked out of the venue mid set but no, nothing like this. What the hell is a vibe anyways?

A promoter of the venue concurred that of all the excuses hes heard for bad behavior over the years, this one still managed to take him by surprise.

I had to laugh when I saw it go down, said Luis Herrera. I mean, Ive seen some of these guys throw gnarly fits, like trashing the dressing room when the vegan options werent good enough and refusing to take the stage because the lighting was unflattering. But Ive never seen anyone bail mid-set because of bad energy. I bet you anything he went straight to his car and made a TikTok about it or something too.

At press time, Ryan was seen applying for remote drummer positions.

Every Deftones Album Ranked "IndyWatch Feed Allcommunity"

We really wanted to challenge ourselves, so were going to rank every Deftones album from worst to best. Though this is no easy feat considering how remarkably consistent the band has been throughout their entire career. If youre really willing to get down to a granular level with us, or if youre just really, really horny, then we can take this journey together, and prove to haters once and for all that Deftones are more than just a brand of weed thats sold in the SOCAL Market.

9. Saturday Night Wrist (2006)

Some die-hard Deftones fans may disagree with this one, but in terms of consistency, Saturday Night Wrist leaves a lot to be desired. The entire experience from front to back is similar to combining a diet of nuts and cheese with equal parts Miralax. There are stunning moments of clarity in the form of bangers, but beware there will be times when you find yourself biting down on a piece of slate while waiting for certain movements to pass.

Though a solid album in its own right, Adrenaline is more of a proof of concept than anything else. Its moody. Its heavy. Its even atmospheric at times! Opener Claims They Loosened Pit After Headlining Band Opens It "IndyWatch Feed Allcommunity"

CAMBRIDGE, Mass. Opening hardcore band Musher claimed they loosened the pit during their set on Tuesday evening before headliner Harumph opened it, sources reported.

It was really tight out there at the start of our act. We definitely got things moving by the end there, said Mushers lead singer Jilly Farnsworth. I know the pit didnt technically open until Harumph started playing Blood Is Money, but that couldnt have happened without us giving the audience a few twists and turns of our own. Before our set started, the crowd mostly had their hands in their pockets, but by the end, several showgoers took them out and gently started tapping their feet to the beat. We almost got the pit fully open when we put all their energy into screaming open up the motherfucking piiiiiiiiiit. Clearly, we desere some credit here.

Harumph, however, alleged the crowd didnt even budge until their set started.

I dont think those fools even tried to get the crowd twisting. If they did, it didnt show in the slightest. It took all our strength to get it open out there, said drummer Peter Yles. The Musher set might have actually made them tighter now that I think about it. They kept screaming specific instructions about how exactly to go fucking crazy. The singer even provided a five-minute long step-by-step demonstration on how to do a wall of death. That seemed to mostly confuse and scare them.

Experts werent quite sure who was in the right.

Lone actors were reportedly pushing other crowd members at the time, but that was said to have started far prior to even Mushers set, said music historian and scene expert Fred Schism. Big empty circles in the crowd were mostly traced back to potent farts and dry-heaving punks in the general admission section. But whether the total motherfucking rage is actually attributable to Mushers music or if it is merely a result of steady Hoppy Daze consumption is harder to prove. Results are inconclusive.

At press time, Musher claimed that the headliners wouldnt have been able to crowd surf if they hadnt started the wave.

I Dont Want To Brag, but Im the Reason You Cant Bring a Falcon to Disneyland Anymore "IndyWatch Feed Allcommunity"

Listen, I know we all have things that weve accomplished in our lives and I would never deliberately try to talk down to anyone, even people who dont have the physical and mental fortitude to master the mighty art of falconry. Im just saying, I really dont want to brag or make a big thing about it, but remember how you used to be able to just stroll into Disneyland with a noble hooded falcon on your arm and spend the entire day on the Teacup ride, no matter how many kids were waiting for their turn?

Thats right, Im the guy that made the Walt Disney Company take notice and put a stop to that. When even guys who let dozens of Goofys sweat to death in those suits think youre over the line, you know youve made a mark on this world.

You probably dont realize it, because you dont look like youd know the difference between a kestrel and a common buzzard if one came and picked you up as a small child and threw you into the river at Critter Country. But yeah, Im that bitch.

Do you think theme parks just happen to have rules against trained birds of prey? Even if they are wearing fine leather hoods that keep them a sign of dignified, gentlemanly hunting? Hell no, something has to happen first, and that something was me and my boy Windkill.

You would be surprised how many people in the line for Dole Whip assume that the kind of training that empowers a falcon to soar through the air and grasp prey in its deadly talons also enable it to do the same with a delicious cup of icy blended pineapple and non-dairy ice cream.

Yeah, that shit doesnt happen just by itself. It takes someone with some guts, some gumption and a Believe Magic Key season pass to Disneyland, with a group of bloodthirsty, Dole Whip-addicted falcons in his home. That someone is me.

And if you dont get out of my goddamn way and let me and my birds into Six Flags Magic Mountain, everyone here is going to have some problems. Especially my falcons.

Professor of Institute of Astronomy Cambridge, caught spacecraft of the secret Star Wars project "IndyWatch Feed Allcommunity"

Picture
John L Walson : This person, Gerry Gilmore FInstP ScD, Professor of Experimental Philosophy, Institute of Astronomy Cambridge, said this after looking at my telescope footage, he must have knowledge of the Star Wars project to know what they look like to make the this comment.
Gerry Gilmore FInstP ScD: "Hello and my congratulations on your superb astrophotography You are clearly getting some images at almost the diffraction limit of your telescope. In the very sharpest images there are hints of diffraction rings visible on the edges of the satellites."

"That is of course the absolute limit of optical performance, and is only rarely attained. Interestingly, the process you have, of using a high-quality imaging system, with fast read-out, and then selecting the rare `perfect' images is something which has been developed and applied somewhat by one of my colleagues here."

"The MIT Lincoln Laboratory (located in Lexington, Massachusetts, is a United States Department of Defense federally funded research and development center chartered to apply advanced technology to problems of national security) is the group which has built some of the things you are seeing. Much of what they do is what used to be the Star wars project, which no doubt involves some of your objects. They don't talk about the military satellites, of course, but there are many discussions of earth surveillance, and related issues. It is distributed only to academic organizations."
In the following video, John L Watson and John Lear show us such a highly advanced Star Wars-like spacecraft and while the craft looks alien it is more likely a man-made space weapon that is in orbit around a large body such as a planet, like earth or the moon. Official there are no known operative orbital weapons systems but the craft captured by John L Walson and the comment made by Gerry Gilmore FInstP ScD proves otherwise.

What You Need to Know About Growing Tomatoes "IndyWatch Feed Allcommunity"

Tomatoes are one of the most widely grown, most versatile vegetables available. There are red ones, green ones, blue, black, and pink ones. Theyre useful in everything from ketchup to salsa, spaghetti sauce, and chili. While I have met a few who dont like them, the majority of home gardens grow them.

But how?

Like any other plant, tomatoes have preferences. The conditions theyre grown in matter, and intended use matters in selection. There are pages upon pages of varieties in the average seed catalog to choose from, and that can feel overwhelming! Ditto the gardening center: there are shelves upon shelves upon shelves of tomatoes. In this article, Ill discuss what you need to know to be able to choose well and grow a bountiful harvest of beautiful tomato treasure.

Want even MORE awesome gardening information? Go here and check out our online Home Agriculture Comprehensive course!

Heres an update on my indoor tomato project

First, an update on my indoor grow operation. I wrote about it here. The end result wasnt bad, but it wasnt great either. The determinant Tiny Tim did produce a few handfuls, enough to go with salad but nowhere near enough to preserve. The indeterminant Dancing with Smurfs hasnt even produced that much and is now waiting to go outdoors to see if that helps.

Remember: I used both heat mats and grow lights to mitigate winter conditions. I also used an electric toothbrush to pollinate the flowers, and I fertilized them since neither seed starting nor potting mix really has enough nutrients for serious fruit production. The Tiny Tim has died off at this point.

Determinant vs. indeterminant tomatoes?

So how do we pick our plants, and whats this stuff about determinant and indeterminant? The latter question being the easiest, thats where Ill start. Tomatoes are classified as being either determinant, which means they produce most of their fruit at once and die, or indeterminate, meaning they keep producing fruit until a hard frost kills them. Which you choose depends upon how you plan to use them.

Some people prefer determinants for canning/freezing because the fruits are all ready at about the same time. I nearly always use indeterminant varieties and preserve them throughout the harvest season, finding that enough tomatoes are often ready at a given point to make my recipe. I tend to preserve as things.........

With widespread objections to the cost as well as polling showing a great deal of apathy to the event, this suggestion might not have been as thoroughly thought through as it could have been.

Special Care Focus Energetic Responsibility "IndyWatch Feed Allcommunity"

Special Care Focus: Energetic Responsibility

Welcome to the Special Care Focus Energetic Responsibility. In order for everyone around the world to participate in a synchronized Care Focus, on every Wednesday in May, June and July, we have chosen three convenient times: 4 a.m., 12:00 p.m. (noon), and 8 p.m. Pacific Time (GMT/UTC minus 7 hours)*. Please join with others on the Global Coherence App. We will do a special care focus every Wednesday.

Lets start by connecting in the heart with everyone participating in the Special Care Focus and radiating love and appreciation to each other.

Energetic Responsibility

As the planetary shift energies intensify, there is more incoherence and chaos while old systems are breaking down. Emotional reactivity and separation are amplified through disinformation campaigns, political maneuvering, and authoritarianism trying to hold onto old paradigms. At the same time, this turmoil is supporting a heart awakening. More and more people are going to their hearts for direction as nothing else seems to be working. They are yearning for leaders who have integrity and compassionate care for the dignity of all.

Its now time on the planet for aware people to increase our energetic responsibility to facilitate the planetary shift to its higher potentials. Increasing energetic responsibility starts with recognizing that our thoughts, feelings, attitudes and actions have an impact on others and the world around us. Its knowing that whatever is happening on the planet, we still have to be responsible for our own energy. Situations can get worse before they get better. When we stay anxious, it causes a downslide in our health and creates more incoherence.

As this global storm continues, using tools and practices to connect with our deeper hearts guidance becomes more significant. It helps intuition guide us through situations that call for adjustment, especially when we cant change certain things. Its also an important time to get more physical exercise (if your health allows), so the shift energies can move through you with greater ease. Its a time to activate our self-empowerment potentials.

By taking a deeper level of energetic responsibility, we become more empowered...

When youre working on the production line at a factory and trying to fulfill ever-changing deadlines, being a busy robot might make life challenging.

It is even more gruesome when you consider that the robot in question was designed to last for the longest amount of time possible.

Meet Digit. The motorized moving mess of bolts and wires known as Digit was the subject of the evaluation. And to be honest, throughout the twenty hours that it was working hard, Digit put in quite the effort and exhibited all of its nifty tricks and circuitry sorcery to all who were there.

Those unfortunate enough to have witnessed the tail end of Digits demos definitely had at least one or two eyebrows raised.

After all, Digit did experience some degree of failure. As in, he was out of the running for the time being after its collapse. The artificial intelligence company, on the other hand, bragged of a phenomenal success rate of 99.99 percent for jobs completed by warehouse bots.

How Pfizer Bribes Led to Vaccine Mandates "IndyWatch Feed Allcommunity"

Thanks to its experimental gene therapy injection for COVID-19, in 2022, Pfizer became the first drug company in history to break $100 billion in annual sales.1 But its mere existence didnt ensure Pfizers success.

No, massive media promotion and government-backed coercion did that. Not only did the U.S. government pay news media a staggering $1 billion to promote and build public confidence in the experimental jab, but as reported by Russell Brand in the video above, Pfizer also poured billions of dollars into advertising.

In 2022, Pfizer spent $2.8 billion on ads, an increase of $800 million from 2021. On top of that, Pfizer also paid big bucks to consumer, medical and civil rights groups to lobby for COVID jab mandates. Journalist Lee Fang reviewed this in his interview with Brand (video above) and in an April 24, 2023, Substack article.2 As Fang told Brand:

San Francisco ... in September of 2021, enacted a very kind of strong mandate with no exemption for prior immunity ... or ... natural immunity. Pfizer was not playing a visible role here. They didn't comment on any of the articles. They weren't really talking to the press.

You saw consumer groups, civil rights groups, patient groups, doctors groups, public health organizations, all saying these mandates are necessary, even though there wasn't a lot of scientific evidence to support the basis that we needed these mandates. [The shots] were sold to us with the claim that they would stop transmission of the virus.

You had this coalition of community groups saying we need the mandate. Well, I'm taking a look at new disclosures that show that many of those organizations, these third party organizations ... were taking funds from Pfizer while lobbying for these controversial policies ...

[The drug industry doesnt] have to disclose how much they're spending on television, how much they're spending on TikTok ads, how much they're giving to these front groups, or these doctors groups, or these public health groups that set the nature of the debate.

They appear in the news media, they create events, and they create a discourse that looks authentic, that looks organic, but it benefits the bottom line of their benefactors companies like Pfizer.

And the vaccine debate ... has shaped our lives in the last three years of the pandemic. But...

Mobile Phone Industry Fights to Keep You Ignorant "IndyWatch Feed Allcommunity"

Editor's Note: This article is a reprint. It was originally published July 31, 2018.

The International Agency for Research on Cancer (IARC) classified cellphones as a Group 2B "possible carcinogen"1 based on the evidence available in 2011. Since then, the evidence of harm has grown significantly. Science delivered a scathing blow to the cellphone industry this year, with three major studies supporting suspicions that cellphone radiation increases your risk of cancer2,3 and other health problems.

Still, public doubt seems to linger. Two articles written by Mark Hertsgaard and Mark Dowie one in The Nation,4 the other in The Guardian5 highlight how such doubts are manufactured by the telecommunications industry which, barring public outcry, does not appear to have any interest in making their products safer.

Clear Evidence Cellphone Radiation Promotes Cancer

In February 2018, the findings of two government-funded lifetime exposure studies6 (one on mice, the other on rats) were published. The animals in these studies were exposed to cellphone radiation for nine hours a day for two years, which is the normal, full life span of both mice and rats.

This $25 million research conducted by the National Toxicology Program (NTP), an interagency research program currently under the auspices of the National Institute of Environmental Health Sciences reveals a number of health concerns, including the following:

  • Exposed male rats were more likely to develop heart tumors (malignant schwannomas) than unexposed ones. These heart tumors are very similar to acoustic neuromas found in humans, a benign type of tumor that previous studies have linked to cellphone use
  • Female rats and newborns exposed to high levels of radiation during pregnancy and lactation were more likely to have low body weight
  • DNA damage and damage to heart tissue were observed in exposed male and female rats, but not mice
  • Brain, prostate, liver and pancreatic tumors were found in both rats and mice exposed to cellphone radiation over a lifetime

Remarkably, the NTP chose to downplay the results, saying there's no real cause for concern. Not only does this nonchalant dismissal contradict the urgent warnings issued by NTP researchers just two years ago, when preliminary re...

US and UK Made Hidden Pacts to Hide Vaccine Reactions "IndyWatch Feed Allcommunity"

In the days leading up to the U.S. Food and Drug Administrations approval of Pfizer-BioNTechs COVID-19 shot, an agreement was made to keep serious adverse reactions under wraps. U.S. and U.K. health officials discussed anaphylactoid reactions due to COVID shots and emphasized their mutual confidentiality agreement regarding the topic.1

The news was revealed by Judicial Watch, which obtained 57 pages of heavily redacted U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) records2 via a Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) lawsuit. Initially, Judicial Watch submitted a FOIA request in August 2021 that specifically asked for:3

All emails sent to and from members of the Vaccines and Related Biological Products Advisory Committee regarding adverse events, deaths and/or injuries caused by investigatory vaccines for the prevention or treatment of SARS-CoV-2 and/or COVID-19 currently produced by Pfizer/BioNTech, Moderna and/or Johnson & Johnson.

The request was ignored, prompting the lawsuit that ultimately revealed the confidentiality agreement between U.S. and U.K. regulators. "Why are we engaged in a secret deal to keep secret information about adverse events related to the vaccines?" Judicial Watch president Tom Fitton asked. "I just think it's troubling. The documents speak for themselves."4

US and UK Officials Make Pact to Keep Safety Issues Quiet

The pact was revealed in a series of email exchanges from December 2020. Initiated by Jonathan Mogford, policy director of the U.K.s Medicines and Healthcare Products Regulatory Agency, and sent to FDA commissioner Janet Woodcock and Peter Marks, director of the Center for Biologics Evaluation and Research (CBER). Judicial Watch reported:5

As background, Mogford includes information on two cases of anaphylactoid reactions in individuals with a strong past history of allergic reactions. Marks replies to Mogford: It would be very helpful if our Office of Vaccines could receive additional details [redacted] from MHRA [UK Medicines and Healthcare Products Regulatory Agency] under the terms of our mutual confidentiality agreement.

Mogford later replies, attached are [redacted] hope thats helpful in the meantime. If I can just remind information shared under our confidentiality agreement.

Dark Mofos Most Controversial Installation Yet: Thousands Left To Starve While AFL Stadium is Constructed "IndyWatch Feed Allcommunity"

Hobarts annual Dark Mofo Festival is courting controversy once more, as well known political artist and progressive mimic Anthony Albo Albanese presents his latest installation Stadium.

Described variously by critics as brave, provocative and absolutely fucking nuts, the $700 million commissioned piece involves starving thousands of citizens while a football stadium is constructed in real time.

Its a thought-provoking work that juxtaposes Australias obsession with eating with its love-affair with sport, a description of the work reads.

Developed to tie in with Dark Mofos 2023 theme reflection, Albo explained that the work is actually a satirical piece which asks us to reflect on the treatment of the poor in one of the worlds wealthiest countries while listening to him speak about how he grew up in government housing.

Im not sure if you know this about me, but I grew up in government housing, so theres an extra subtle layer of irony in this piece for astute viewers, he explained.

Art commentators say the work is at once mystifying and confronting. A lot of people would say that theres already a football stadium in Hobart. This piece forces viewers to ask themselves, but is there? one art critic mused.  Another said it was a clever take on the bootstraps narrative often peddled by politicians. What this piece says is: Imagine how many future PMs we can get by allowing thousands of Australians to fight their way out of poverty with nothing but sheer will.

The piece is made possible by a tax-payer funded grant.

Is Congress Really More Concerned About AI Launching a Nuclear Attack than an 80-Year-Old Demented President? "IndyWatch Feed Allcommunity"

by Brian Shilhavy
Editor, Health Impact News

A bipartisan group of U.S. Senators have introduced the Block Nuclear Launch by Autonomous AI Act, which would prohibit the use of Federal funds to launch a nuclear weapon using an autonomous weapons system that is not subject to meaningful human control.

This is so absurd, that I dont know if members of Congress are actually this stupid, or if this is a psyop to instill fear into the public over AI, similar to how fear was used to convince most of the public that there was a deadly coronavirus that threatened humanity back in 2020.

Lets start with the fact that there is no such thing as autonomous AI. It is fake, it does not exist. Some believe it could happen in the future, but even that is based on either ignorance or intentional fear mongering to get people to fear AI.

But no matter what your beliefs are about AIs capability in the future, nobody in the Tech industry today working with AI would say that AI is now fully autonomous.

We havent even been able to develop a fully autonomous car yet after almost 20 years, let alone something that could launch a nuclear attack.

So this is a meaningless bill. It would be the same thing as filing a bill to Block Autonomous Handguns from Killing People.

But guns are not autonomous. They need people to wield them, and the same is true of AI or any computer code for that matter.

The real threat today to launch a nuclear attack, lies with the President of the United States, who has the unilateral authority to choose to use nuclear weapons.

However, there are ways that Congress can limit when and how the president uses nuclear weapons. (...

Charles Schwab and Other Big Banks May Be Secretly Insolvent "IndyWatch Feed Allcommunity"

This article was originally published by Manuel Garca Gojon at The Mises Institute.

The taming of monetary policy necessary to slow price inflation has triggered a corrective trend in the valuation of financial instruments. Many big banks in the United States have substantially increased their use of an accounting technique that allows them to avoid marking certain assets at their current market value, instead using the face value in their balance sheet calculations. This accounting technique consists of announcing that they intend to hold such assets to maturity.

As of the end of 2022, the bank with the largest amount of assets marked as held to maturity relative to capital was Charles Schwab. Apart from being structured as a bank, Charles Schwab is a prominent stockbroker and owns TD Ameritrade, another prominent stockbroker. Charles Schwab had over $173 billion in assets marked as held to maturity. Its capital (assets minus liabilities) stood at under $37 billion. At that time, the difference between the market value and face value of assets held to maturity was over $14 billion.

If the accounting technique had not been used the capital would have stood at around $23 billion. This amount is under half the $56 billion Charles Schwab had in capital at the end of 2021. This is also under 15 percent of the amount of assets held to maturity, under 10 percent of securities, and under 5 percent of total assets. An asset ten years from maturity is reduced in present value by 15 percent with a 3 percent increase in the interest rate. An asset twenty years from maturity is reduced in present value by 15 percent with a 1.5 percent increase in the interest rate.

The interest rates for long-term financial instruments have remained relatively stable throughout the first quarter of 2023, but this may be subject to change as many of the long-term assets of recently failed Silicon Valley Bank and Signature Bank must be sold off for the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation to replenish its liquidity. The long-term interest rate is also heavily dependent on inflation expectations, as with higher inflation a higher nominal rate is necessary to obtain the same real rate. It is also important to remember that the US Congress has persisted in not raising the debt ceiling for the government, which is currently projected to not be able to meet all its obligations by August. This could....

Morrisons New Defence Role To Involve Teaching AUKUS Subs How To Magically Disappear When Under Fire "IndyWatch Feed Allcommunity"

Inside sources have provided further detail on Scott Morrisons rumoured new role at a UK defence company, saying the former PM will provide specialist advice for submarine developers on how to avoid detection and then vanish into thin air at the first sign of trouble.

A source at the company said Morrison was highly skilled at suddenly becoming invisible when things went wrong. Scott has some of the most advanced in-built avoidance technology weve encountered, so were looking forward to applying those learnings to our submarines, as well as our fighter jets, the source said.

I can imagine a situation where one of our subs comes under fire in Chinese waters and then seconds later re-materialises in Hawaii. Thats the sort of technology we think Scott can help us develop.

He said Morrisons ability to blend into any given setting will also be useful in developing camouflage technology. The guy moved from Eastern Sydney to the Shire and within seconds was wearing Sharkies gear and eating meat pies. If we can get our fighter jets to change stripes as quickly as Morrison does, theyll be indestructible.

Asked whether he had accepted the defence role, Morrison said Its not my job, although it is uncertain whether that was a genuine answer to the question, or a reflex response.

Abbott Demands That Albo Demote King Charles To A Knight "IndyWatch Feed Allcommunity"

Former Australian Prime Minister (yep, really) Tony Abbott has called upon current PM, Albo, to demote King Charles down to a Knight ahead of the Kings coronation on the weekend.

Australia owes a great deal to the Monarchy, one could even suggest that we should be giving them a voice to parliament, said Mr Rabbit. So, I think Mr Albanese needs to do whats right and show the new King what Australia really thinks of him by bestowing a knighthood upon him.

Its the very least we could do.

When asked why he is so in favour of the Monarchy whilst at the same time speaking out against an indigenous voice to parliament, the former Minister for Women (yep, really) said: Well, we need to look at this Nations history.

The Queen, Captain Cook, dare I say it, Ian Botham, all gave so much for us and we need to acknowledge that.

Federal Judge Finds Texas Use of Psychotropic Drugs on Foster Children Appalling "IndyWatch Feed Allcommunity"

From KERA News: A federal judge called Texas use of psychotropic drugs on foster children appalling and in violation of the states own standards.

Speaking at a Wednesday hearing in the 12-year old federal foster care litigation, Judge Janis Jack said she was saddened by a report filed last month by court monitors on the use of psychotropic drugs in the Texas foster care system.

The report was based on multi-day visits to 14 group homes, or residential treatment facilities.

Were you not shocked with this Ms. Muth? Jack inquired of new department of Family and Protective Services Commissioner Stephanie Muth. The massive amount of drugs that are given to these children just because these group homes really cant handle the children?

. . . Karl Neudorfer, an assistant attorney general representing DFPS, said he disagreed with the characterization that the state doesnt care about the misuse of psychotropic drugs.

Jack fired back: Yes or no, does the state believe it is bound by the injunction to monitor and keep kids safe from drug misuse?

He demurred.

These children are being repeatedly raped in your care. Theyre being drugged in your care if they complain. If their behavior is not up to snuff, theyre getting psychotropic drugs. And that is not safe, she said.

What Makes Me a Conspiracy Theorist? Please Explain "IndyWatch Feed Allcommunity"

Image result for fools who fell for the Civd 19 death vax

The term conspiracy theorist has been used to delegitimize any opposing view of the current government, media, or corporate lies designed to justify the draconian moves being made against the populace at this point in time! The unthinkable deception that apparently the little men behind the curtain have been working overtime on. Over the last few years we have seen the process of accelerating the downfall of the western world in every imaginable way! Most Americans either dont trust the government or any programs they introduce as most result in an increase in taxes, an increase in the cost of living, or a mandate for some kind of medical procedure they have tried to scare us into submitting to lest we succumb to some horrid imagined disease!

Image result for the end times

Why?

Some theologians point out that according to the Bible and the End Times Satan knows his time on earth is up and he will be intensifying his efforts to recruit as many sinners as possible while God even says that he will increase the delusions of the satanic followers, and it seems apparent. The great divide in America would be a good example. There are people that are so cognitively dissonant that they simply cannot comprehend the facts when they are clearly there for all to see. They prefer the delusion. They prefer being harshly ruled, knowing well and good that their freedoms will be attacked. They accept this as part of their tribal pact with their corrupt rulers, the Democrats! A great part of that rule is false narratives. Talking points that allege without convicting. Accusing others of the very criminal lies that they, themselves are guilty of.

What makes me the enemy?

If I question whether or not a vaccine has had adequate testing for side effects so that I do not suffer from injuries sometime after being injected, then I guess that makes me a Conspiracy Theorist right? Russia: The West Has FAILED To Isolate Russia "IndyWatch Feed Allcommunity"

Russian politicians continue to provoke the ruling classes of the West, saying their rhetoric has continually failed to isolate the former Soviet Union.  Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov has said that nations comprising 85% of the worlds population are refusing to take part in the anti-Russia policies.

According to a report by RT, the top diplomat was addressing the World Online Conference on Multipolarity on Saturday, and said that Washingtons and its satellites efforts to reverse history, to force the international community to live by the invented rules-based order are proving to be a fiasco, citing the total failure of the West to isolate Russia.

Lavrov noted that new global centers are emerging in Eurasia, the Indo-Pacific region, the Middle East, Africa, and Latin America and that these nations are pursuing independent policies guided by national interests.

According to the foreign minister, developing nations have been steadily expanding their share in the global economy over the past three decades, while the role of the G7 nations has been diminishing. RT

He also hailed the fact that more and more countries have expressed interest in joining international groups of the new kind, such as BRICS and the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO). Russia, Lavrov explained, champions a multipolar world order based on respect for the United Nations charter, and a balance of interests as opposed to a balance of fear.

As Russia continues to provoke the U.S. it is becoming apparent that there will be a new military superpower likely within the decade. The U.S. system is collapsing.

Even The Liberal Media Is Warning Of A System Collapse Due To The Failure Of Global Supply Chains

President Vladimir Putin said on Friday that Moscow will not abide by the so-called rules invented and imposed by certain countries.

Also on Friday, while addressing members of the SCO, Defense Minister Sergey Shoigu claimed that the West is putting unprecedented pressure on independent countries to pit them against Russia and China and undermine the rise of the multipolar world. RT

Natural Solutions for Insect Control: The Power of Peppermint "IndyWatch Feed Allcommunity"

Are you tired of dealing with pesky insects in and around your home? Instead of resorting to chemical-laden bug sprays and store-bought insect repellents, consider using peppermint as a natural alternative. Not only do insects despise the scent of peppermint, but it has also been proven effective in repelling a wide variety of pests. With a few simple steps, you can create your own peppermint-based solutions to keep your home bug-free.

Why Peppermint?

Peppermint is an unbearable irritant to most insects. In fact, the stick bug emits a milky substance with a peppermint scent to ward off predators. Peppermint is an effective natural repellent against beetles, caterpillars, fleas, flies, lice, mice, moths, roaches and more.

The Scientific Evidence

A 2001 study by researchers at Auburn University tested the effects of mint oil on two of the most common species of cockroaches: American roaches and German roaches.

What they found is surprisingand great news for the millions of homeowners across the U.S. looking for an easy, safe, natural way to repel cockroaches.

During each day of their 14-day experiment, the mint oil repelled 100% of the roaches100%! Thats a significant result.

Studies have also shown that peppermint oil can protect against mosquito bites for up to 150 minutes when applied to the skin!

Using Peppermint Around the Home

If youre dealing with spiders, ants, mosquitoes, and other insects, try using 100-percent pure peppermint oil. You can find it at your local health or grocery store. Follow these simple steps to make the most of peppermints bug-repelling properties:

  1. Apply peppermint oil to a cotton ball and place it in areas where insects are frequently seen, such as window sills or near doors.
  2. Create a peppermint spray by mixing 5 to 10 drops of essential oil per ounce of hot water in a spray bottle. Use this mixture to spray down countertops, furniture, curtains, blinds, and hard-to-reach areas. Be sure to test in a small area first to ensure the oil doesnt damage the items you want to spray.
  3. For outdoor use, apply the mixture to your skin, but be sure to test on a small patch of skin first, as some people with sensitive skin may find the oil irritating.

DIY Peppermint Insect Repellent (Option 2)

If you want to try another homemade peppermint solution, consider this simple recipe:

Ingredients:

  • 10 drops of peppermint essential oil
  • 16 oz. of water

Instructions:

  1. Mix 10 drops of peppermint essential oil with 16 oz. of water.
  2. Transfer the mixture to...

Health authorities use long COVID snow job to cover up vaccine side effects "IndyWatch Feed Allcommunity"

By TONY MOBILIFONITIS, Long COVID is the vaccine! GUTLESS and corrupt Australian health authorities and politicians, aided and abetted by mainstream media, are employing a slimy story to cover up the embarrassing reality of side effects, including a high excess death rate, from mass vaccination with mRNA vaccines. The cover-up story involves long Covid, a condition originally observed during the plandemic, when people suffered extended or repeated periods of Covid/influenza/cold symptoms. What was later revealed during that time was that the vaccines were not effective in stopping viral spread and people who got vaccinated frequently came down with the Covid conditions. Others, most notably fit, young athletes who were forced to get shots, died suddenly from heart attacks. But a year or so on, others like writer and editor Jackie Bos, who featured in a Sydney Morning Herald article, suffered symptoms including breathing difficulties, persistent brain fog and memory loss, chest pain, nerve pain, internal tremors, palpitations, dizziness, rashes, fatigue and weight loss. Bos reportedly contracted the virus a year ago, but the article doesnt tell us if she got vaccinated or not.

Critical Psychiatry Textbook, Chapter 8: Depression and Mania (Affective Disorders) (Part One) "IndyWatch Feed Allcommunity"

Editors Note: Over the next several months, Mad in Gtzsches book, Critical Psychiatry Textbook. In this blog, he discusses the drug industrys influence in defining disorders and the lack of efficacy for depression pills. Each Monday, a new section of the book is published, and all chapters are archived here.

Depression pills are the most widely used psychiatric drugs, and brain scan studies play a major role when psychiatrists try to convince the world that these drugs are very useful and necessary.

In Chapter 3, I rejected the textbook claims that affective disorders may cause brain atrophy and other neurobiological changes. Only very rarely was there any admission or consideration that these changes might be caused by the pills rather than by the disease.

The textbooks had an array of extraordinary claims about what depression pills can accomplish in the brain. But there were no references, and what was claimed is highly unlikely to be true.

Close up photo depicting a man in a suit pouring two pills into his open palmWe are told that depression pills have an effect on neuroplasticity; that the pills stimulate the formation of new neurons and dendrites in the hippocampus;16:558 that brain scans have shown a decrease in atrophic changes with treatment; that animal studies have shown a very clear neuro-protective effect of the pills; that the pills can prevent nerve cell death, atrophy of nerve cells, and decreased neurogenesis, glial cell genesis, and angiogenesis; that there is much to suggest that treatment can lessen the structural pathological changes;16:267 that treatment can prevent deterioration if there a...

Nevada Children Are Getting Rare Brain Infections "IndyWatch Feed Allcommunity"

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) is investigating the potential reasons for the spike in rare brain infections and abscesses in children. Cases of brain abscesses in children reportedly tripled last year in southern Nevada, and the CDC isnt sure If COVID restriction could be to blame.

Children are experiencing a debilitated immune function in the aftermath of the draconian COVID-19 scamdemic policies. Face masks and lockdowns have proved to be devastating to the immune system, but the CDC contends that they are not sure that thats what causing rare brain infections in children in Nevada.

Dr. Taryn Bragg, a pediatric neurosurgeon at Intermountain Primary Childrens Hospital in Las Vegas, Nevada, reported the unexpected number of cases to the Southern Nevada Health District, which issued a public health advisory in January 2023. We started noticing the infections in March 2022, Dr. Bragg told Fox & Friends Weekend on Sunday morning. The vast majority of children presented with sinus infections that fairly rapidly progressed to abscesses forming in the brain.

A majority of the kids also showed the presence of the bacteria Streptococcus intermedius, which is commonly found in the oral and respiratory cavity, she said. It often doesnt result in infections, but it certainly can and its the most common organism that will result in brain abscesses, Dr. Bragg said.

She is ruling out environmental factors in these outbreaks. We didnt find anything local to our community that would help us mitigate and try to reduce infection rates, she told Fox News Digital in a phone interview. These infections are not like COVID or getting a cold either. Most children who come into the hospital are already very sick, she said.

Its very different from your common cold, she said. Most of the children had significant fevers, severe headaches, lethargy, perhaps even neurologic deficits, like speech or language difficulties or weakness. So far, she said no children have died of these brain infections and abscesses. The vast majority of the children have fully recovered without neurologic deficit, Dr. Bragg said

Between 2015 and 2021, Clark County in southern Nevada only saw about five...

Psychologist's death due to AstraZeneca Covid vaccine reaction "IndyWatch Feed Allcommunity"

The death of a psychologist after his Oxford-AstraZeneca Covid-19 jab was due to "unintended complications of the vaccine", an inquest has ruled. Stephen Wright, an NHS employee in south-east London, died 10 days after his first dose in January 2021, senior coroner Andrew Harris found. Dr Wright, 32, suffered a blood clot to the brain after receiving the vaccine. His wife Charlotte has been trying to get the "natural causes" wording on her husband's death certificate changed. She is pursuing legal action against the pharmaceutical company. At London Inner South Coroner's Court, Mr Harris described it as a "very unusual and deeply tragic case". Dr Wright suffered from a combination of a brainstem infarction, bleed on the brain and "vaccine-induced thrombosis", the inquest heard. His condition rapidly worsened, but the nature of the bleed meant he was unfit for surgery. After the inquest, Mrs Wright ... said: "It was made clear that Stephen was [previously] fit and healthy and that his death was by vaccination of AstraZeneca. For us, it allows us to be able to continue our litigation against AstraZeneca. This is the written proof." Speaking about the coroner's ruling, mother-of-two Charlotte Wright said: "It provides relief but it doesn't provide closure. I think we're only going to get that when we have an answer from AstraZeneca and the government." From May 2021, the AZ jab was no longer offered to adults under 40 after it became clear the vaccine carried [a] risk of blood clots which could be fatal.

Note: Dr. Wright's death is one of many tragedies related to the COVID-19 vaccine, as revealed in a powerful documentary that follows the lives of people significantly harmed by the vaccine, yet were discredited and abandoned by the medical system and our media systems. A recent analysis report estimates that in 2022 alone, out of 148 million people, the mass COVID-19 inoculations injured 26.6 million, disabled 1.36 million, and caused 300,000 excess deaths, with an estimated economic cost of nearly $150 billion. Clearview AI scraped 30 billion images from Facebook and other social media sites and gave them to cops: it puts everyone into a 'perpetual police line-up' "IndyWatch Feed Allcommunity"

A controversial facial recognition database, used by police departments across the nation, was built in part with 30 billion photos the company scraped from Facebook and other social media users without their permission. The company, Clearview AI, boasts of its potential for identifying rioters at the January 6 attack on the Capitol, saving children being abused or exploited, and helping exonerate people wrongfully accused of crimes. But critics point to privacy violations and wrongful arrests fueled by faulty identifications made by facial recognition, including cases in Detroit and New Orleans, as cause for concern over the technology. Once a photo has been scraped by Clearview AI, biometric face prints are made and cross-referenced in the database, tying the individuals to their social media profiles and other identifying information forever and people in the photos have little recourse to try to remove themselves. CNN reported Clearview AI last year claimed the company's clients include "more than 3,100 US agencies, including the FBI and Department of Homeland Security." BBC reported Miami Police acknowledged they use the technology for all kinds of crimes, from shoplifting to murder. The risk of being included in what is functionally a "perpetual police line-up" applies to everyone, including people who think they have nothing to hide, [said] Matthew Guariglia, a senior policy analyst for the international non-profit digital rights group Electronic Frontier Fund.

Georgia National Guard Will Use Phone Location Tracking to Recruit High School Children "IndyWatch Feed Allcommunity"

The Georgia Army National Guard plans to combine two deeply controversial practices military recruiting at schools and location-based phone surveillance to persuade teens to enlist, according to contract documents reviewed by The Intercept. The federal contract materials outline plans by the Georgia Army National Guard to geofence 67 different public high schools throughout the state, targeting phones found within a one-mile boundary of their campuses with recruiting advertisements "with the intent of generating qualified leads of potential applicants for enlistment while also raising awareness of the Georgia Army National Guard." Geofencing refers generally to the practice of drawing a virtual border around a real-world area. The ad campaign will make use of a variety of surveillance advertising techniques, including capturing the unique device IDs of student phones, tracking pixels, and IP address tracking. It will also plaster recruiting solicitations across Instagram, Snapchat, streaming television, and music apps. The campaign plans not only call for broadcasting recruitment ads to kids at school, but also for pro-Guard ads to follow these students around as they continue using the internet and other apps, a practice known as retargeting. While the state's plan specifies targeting only high school juniors and seniors ages 17 and above, demographic ad targeting is known to be error prone, and experts told The Intercept it's possible the recruiting messages could reach the phones of younger children.

Possible links between Covid shots and tinnitus emerge "IndyWatch Feed Allcommunity"

Thousands of people say they've developed tinnitus after they were vaccinated against Covid. Shaowen Bao, an associate professor in the physiology department of the College of Medicine at the University of Arizona, Tucson, believes that ongoing inflammation, especially in the brain or spinal cord, may be to blame. Bao, a longtime tinnitus sufferer and a representative of the American Tinnitus Association's scientific advisory board, has studied tinnitus for more than a decade. A Facebook group of people who developed tinnitus after getting a Covid vaccine convinced Bao to look into the possible link. One man told Bao that he couldn't hear the car radio over the noise in his head while driving. Along with ringing in their ears, participants reported a range of other symptoms, including headaches, dizziness, vertigo, ear pain, anxiety and depression. Significantly more people first developed tinnitus after the first dose of the vaccine, compared with the second. This suggests "that the vaccine is interacting with pre-existing risk factors for tinnitus. If you have the risk factor, you will probably get it from the first dose," Bao said. As of Sunday, at least 16,183 people had filed complaints with the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention that they'd developed tinnitus, or ringing in their ears, after receiving a Covid vaccine. [Vaccine expert Dr. Gregory] Poland, who was stricken with tinnitus after he received his Covid vaccines two years ago, suggested that the CDC remains "unconcerned" about these reports of tinnitus.
