Psychologist's death due to AstraZeneca Covid vaccine reaction "IndyWatch Feed Allaunews"

The death of a psychologist after his Oxford-AstraZeneca Covid-19 jab was due to "unintended complications of the vaccine", an inquest has ruled. Stephen Wright, an NHS employee in south-east London, died 10 days after his first dose in January 2021, senior coroner Andrew Harris found. Dr Wright, 32, suffered a blood clot to the brain after receiving the vaccine. His wife Charlotte has been trying to get the "natural causes" wording on her husband's death certificate changed. She is pursuing legal action against the pharmaceutical company. At London Inner South Coroner's Court, Mr Harris described it as a "very unusual and deeply tragic case". Dr Wright suffered from a combination of a brainstem infarction, bleed on the brain and "vaccine-induced thrombosis", the inquest heard. His condition rapidly worsened, but the nature of the bleed meant he was unfit for surgery. After the inquest, Mrs Wright ... said: "It was made clear that Stephen was [previously] fit and healthy and that his death was by vaccination of AstraZeneca. For us, it allows us to be able to continue our litigation against AstraZeneca. This is the written proof." Speaking about the coroner's ruling, mother-of-two Charlotte Wright said: "It provides relief but it doesn't provide closure. I think we're only going to get that when we have an answer from AstraZeneca and the government." From May 2021, the AZ jab was no longer offered to adults under 40 after it became clear the vaccine carried [a] risk of blood clots which could be fatal.

Note: Dr. Wright's death is one of many tragedies related to the COVID-19 vaccine, as revealed in a powerful documentary that follows the lives of people significantly harmed by the vaccine, yet were discredited and abandoned by the medical system and our media systems. A recent analysis report estimates that in 2022 alone, out of 148 million people, the mass COVID-19 inoculations injured 26.6 million, disabled 1.36 million, and caused 300,000 excess deaths, with an estimated economic cost of nearly $150 billion. Clearview AI scraped 30 billion images from Facebook and other social media sites and gave them to cops: it puts everyone into a 'perpetual police line-up' "IndyWatch Feed Allworld"

A controversial facial recognition database, used by police departments across the nation, was built in part with 30 billion photos the company scraped from Facebook and other social media users without their permission. The company, Clearview AI, boasts of its potential for identifying rioters at the January 6 attack on the Capitol, saving children being abused or exploited, and helping exonerate people wrongfully accused of crimes. But critics point to privacy violations and wrongful arrests fueled by faulty identifications made by facial recognition, including cases in Detroit and New Orleans, as cause for concern over the technology. Once a photo has been scraped by Clearview AI, biometric face prints are made and cross-referenced in the database, tying the individuals to their social media profiles and other identifying information forever and people in the photos have little recourse to try to remove themselves. CNN reported Clearview AI last year claimed the company's clients include "more than 3,100 US agencies, including the FBI and Department of Homeland Security." BBC reported Miami Police acknowledged they use the technology for all kinds of crimes, from shoplifting to murder. The risk of being included in what is functionally a "perpetual police line-up" applies to everyone, including people who think they have nothing to hide, [said] Matthew Guariglia, a senior policy analyst for the international non-profit digital rights group Electronic Frontier Fund.

Georgia National Guard Will Use Phone Location Tracking to Recruit High School Children "IndyWatch Feed Allworld"

The Georgia Army National Guard plans to combine two deeply controversial practices military recruiting at schools and location-based phone surveillance to persuade teens to enlist, according to contract documents reviewed by The Intercept. The federal contract materials outline plans by the Georgia Army National Guard to geofence 67 different public high schools throughout the state, targeting phones found within a one-mile boundary of their campuses with recruiting advertisements "with the intent of generating qualified leads of potential applicants for enlistment while also raising awareness of the Georgia Army National Guard." Geofencing refers generally to the practice of drawing a virtual border around a real-world area. The ad campaign will make use of a variety of surveillance advertising techniques, including capturing the unique device IDs of student phones, tracking pixels, and IP address tracking. It will also plaster recruiting solicitations across Instagram, Snapchat, streaming television, and music apps. The campaign plans not only call for broadcasting recruitment ads to kids at school, but also for pro-Guard ads to follow these students around as they continue using the internet and other apps, a practice known as retargeting. While the state's plan specifies targeting only high school juniors and seniors ages 17 and above, demographic ad targeting is known to be error prone, and experts told The Intercept it's possible the recruiting messages could reach the phones of younger children.

Johns Hopkins study shows lockdowns only reduced COVID-19 death rate by .2% "IndyWatch Feed Allworld"

Lockdowns during the first COVID-19 wave in the spring of 2020 only reduced COVID-19 mortality by .2% in the U.S. and Europe, according to a Johns Hopkins University meta-analysis of several studies. "While this meta-analysis concludes that lockdowns have had little to no public health effects, they have imposed enormous economic and social costs where they have been adopted," the researchers wrote. "In consequence, lockdown policies are ill-founded and should be rejected as a pandemic policy instrument." The researchers Johns Hopkins University economics professor Steve Hanke, Lund University economics professor Lars Jonung, and special advisor at Copenhagen's Center for Political Studies Jonas Herby analyzed the effects of lockdown measures such as school shutdowns, business closures, and mask mandates on COVID-19 deaths. "We find little to no evidence that mandated lockdowns in Europe and the United States had a noticeable effect on COVID-19 mortality rates," the researchers wrote. The researchers also examined shelter-in-place orders, finding that they reduced COVID-19 mortality by 2.9%. Studies that looked at only shelter-in-place orders found they reduced COVID-19 mortality by 5.1%, but studies that looked at shelter-in-place orders along with other lockdown measures found that shelter-in-place orders actually increased COVID-19 mortality by 2.8%. The researchers concluded that limiting gatherings may have actually increased COVID-19 mortality.

Lockdowns in the U.S. and Europe had little or no impact in reducing deaths from COVID-19 "IndyWatch Feed Allworld"

Lockdowns in the U.S. and Europe had little or no impact in reducing deaths from COVID-19, according to a new analysis by researchers at Johns Hopkins University. The lockdowns during the early phase of the pandemic in 2020 reduced COVID-19 mortality by about 0.2%, said the broad review of multiple scientific studies. "We find no evidence that lockdowns, school closures, border closures, and limiting gatherings have had a noticeable effect on COVID-19 mortality," the researchers wrote. But the research paper said lockdowns did have "devastating effects" on the economy and contributed to numerous social ills. "They have contributed to reducing economic activity, raising unemployment, reducing schooling, causing political unrest, contributing to domestic violence, and undermining liberal democracy," the report said. "Such a standard benefit-cost calculation leads to a strong conclusion: lockdowns should be rejected out of hand as a pandemic policy instrument," the paper concluded. Early on, many states and 186 countries imposed bans on work, socialization, in-person schooling, travel and other restrictions to limit the spread of the disease, citing recommendations by top health care experts. Researchers at the Imperial College London, for example, predicted that such steps could reduce death rates by up to 98%. That never happened, according to the new study by researchers Steve Hanke, Jonas Herby, and Lars Jonung at Johns Hopkins.

Possible links between Covid shots and tinnitus emerge "IndyWatch Feed Allworld"

Thousands of people say they've developed tinnitus after they were vaccinated against Covid. Shaowen Bao, an associate professor in the physiology department of the College of Medicine at the University of Arizona, Tucson, believes that ongoing inflammation, especially in the brain or spinal cord, may be to blame. Bao, a longtime tinnitus sufferer and a representative of the American Tinnitus Association's scientific advisory board, has studied tinnitus for more than a decade. A Facebook group of people who developed tinnitus after getting a Covid vaccine convinced Bao to look into the possible link. One man told Bao that he couldn't hear the car radio over the noise in his head while driving. Along with ringing in their ears, participants reported a range of other symptoms, including headaches, dizziness, vertigo, ear pain, anxiety and depression. Significantly more people first developed tinnitus after the first dose of the vaccine, compared with the second. This suggests "that the vaccine is interacting with pre-existing risk factors for tinnitus. If you have the risk factor, you will probably get it from the first dose," Bao said. As of Sunday, at least 16,183 people had filed complaints with the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention that they'd developed tinnitus, or ringing in their ears, after receiving a Covid vaccine. [Vaccine expert Dr. Gregory] Poland, who was stricken with tinnitus after he received his Covid vaccines two years ago, suggested that the CDC remains "unconcerned" about these reports of tinnitus.

As Drug Crisis Mounted, Sacklers Gave Millions to Group That Advises on Opioids "IndyWatch Feed Allworld"

For the past decade, the White House and Congress have relied on the National Academies of Sciences, Engineering and Medicine, a renowned advisory group, to help shape the federal response to the opioid crisis, whether by convening expert panels or delivering policy recommendations and reports. Yet officials with the National Academies have kept quiet about one thing: their decision to accept roughly $19 million in donations from members of the Sackler family, the owners of Purdue Pharma, the maker of the drug OxyContin that is notorious for fueling the opioid epidemic. The opioid crisis has led to hundreds of thousands of overdose deaths, spawned lawsuits and forced other institutions to publicly distance themselves from Sackler money or to acknowledge potential conflicts of interest from ties to Purdue Pharma. The National Academies has largely avoided such scrutiny as it continues to advise the government on painkillers. Institutions that more publicly examined their use of Sackler donations include Tufts University, which released a review of possible conflicts of interest related to pain research education funded by Purdue Pharma. Concerns noted in the report included a senior Purdue executive's delivering lectures to students each semester. The World Health Organization in 2019 retracted two guidance documents on opioid policy after lawmakers aired concerns about ties to opioid makers, including a Purdue subsidiary, among report authors and funders.

TikTok: Chinese "Trojan Horse" is Run By State Department Officials "IndyWatch Feed Allworld"

A MintPress News investigation has found dozens of ex-U.S. State Department officials working in key positions at TikTok. Many more individuals with backgrounds in the FBI, CIA and other departments of the national security state also hold influential posts at the social media giant, affecting the content that over one billion users see. The influx of State Department officials into TikTok's upper ranks is a consequence of "Project Texas," an initiative the company began in 2020 in the hopes of avoiding being banned altogether in the United States. During his time in office, Secretary of State Mike Pompeo led the charge to shut the platform down, frequently labeling it a "spying app" and a "propaganda tool for the Chinese Communist Party." It was widely reported that the U.S. government had forced the sale of TikTok to Walmart and then Microsoft. But in late 2020, as Project Texas began, those deals mysteriously fell through, and the rhetoric about the dangers of TikTok from officials evaporated. Project Texas is a $1.5 billion security operation to move the company's data to Austin. In doing so, it announced that it was partnering with tech giant Oracle, a corporation that, as MintPress has reported on, is the CIA in all but name. Evidently, Project Texas also secretly included hiring all manner of U.S. national security state personnel to oversee the company's operations and not just from the State Department. Virtually every branch of the national security state is present at TikTok.

Dr. Peter Gtzsche is a well known Danish physician with four decades of research experience, publishing 97 papers in the "big five" (BMJ, Lancet, JAMA, Annals of Internal Medicine, and New England Journal of Medicine) and 19 Cochrane reviews. He is a co-founder of the Cochrane Collaboration. Gtzsche, along with ... Maryanne Demasi, PhD, have published a new paper titled "Serious harms of the COVID-19 Vaccines: A Systematic Review." It's been a task for academics to look into this phenomenon given the fact that vaccine manufacturers and drug regulators never allowed independent researchers to examine the raw trial data, forcing transparency advocates to sue the FDA for access to the documents. The adenovirus vector vaccines increased the risk of venous thrombosis and thrombocytopenia. (Authorities have responded by suspending the use of AstraZeneca's vaccine across many European countries, and in the US, regulators have advised restricted use of Janssen's vaccine). The mRNA-based vaccines increased the risk of myocarditis, with a mortality of about 1-2 per 200 cases. It was more common in younger males. We found evidence of serious neurological harms, including Bell's Palsy, Guillain-Barr syndrome, myasthenic disorder and stroke, which are likely due to an autoimmune reaction from mRNA and adenoviral vector vaccines. Severe harms, i.e. those that prevent daily activities, were underreported in the randomized trials.

Reassessing Technology for Time-Warp Space Travel "IndyWatch Feed Allworld"

A 17-year-old boy ... received the Air Force's highest science award in the 1960s. This young man had the audacity and guts to build and test a new and unusual rocket. The boy's name was David Adair, and the engine he built was a nuclear-fusion electromagnetic containment engine. This rocket was tested successfully and had an eventful landing in that land beyond lands that doesn't exist, the famous Area 51. This vehicle had the capability of achieving light speed and, according to the builder, was capable of exceeding light speed with capabilities to propel an interstellar ship to the stars. Where did David Adair, now head of Intersect Inc. in Atlanta, get the design for this engine? As he tells it, directly from NASA. The organization evidently had 18 engine designs, and guess what? Only two were solid- or liquid-propelled rocket engines. This was in the 1960s. I wonder what happened to the rest of those engine types in the past 30 years. I also wonder what type of engines have been and are being tested at the old Rocketdyne facility in the Santa Susana Mountains above Simi Valley. One might ask if the massive class-action lawsuit against Rocketdyne, which alleges contamination of the nuclear type, has any relationship to the engines that were developed and continue to be developed today. If we look at some of these modern concepts and then consider the possibility of extraterrestrial visitation, it doesn't seem quite so impossible.

'Bees are sentient': inside the stunning brains of nature's hardest workers "IndyWatch Feed Allworld"

When Stephen Buchmann finds a wayward bee on a window inside his Tucson, Arizona, home, he goes to great lengths to capture and release it unharmed. This March, Buchmann released a book that unpacks just how varied and powerful a bee's mind really is. The book, What a Bee Knows: Exploring the Thoughts, Memories and Personalities of Bees, draws from his own research and dozens of other studies to paint a remarkable picture of bee behavior and psychology. It argues that bees can demonstrate sophisticated emotions resembling optimism, frustration, playfulness and fear, traits more commonly associated with mammals. Experiments have shown bees can experience PTSD-like symptoms, recognize different human faces, process long-term memories while sleeping, and maybe even dream. Approximately one-third of the American diet, including many fruits, vegetables and nuts, relies on bees for pollination. In the past, bee research has focused on their role in crop pollination, but the work being pioneered by Buchmann and his contemporaries could force an ethical reckoning with how the animals are treated. Can large-scale agriculture and scientific research continue without causing bees to suffer, and is the dominant western culture even capable of accepting that the tiniest of creatures have feelings, too? Buchmann hopes an ethical shift will happen as details about the emotional lives of invertebrates especially bees are shared with the public.

Magnetic Crystals, Guides for Animals, Found in Humans "IndyWatch Feed Allworld"

An intriguing claim that human brain cells possess crystals of a highly magnetic mineral known as magnetite was described today by Dr. Joseph Kirschvink, a professor at the California Institute of Technology. The 38-year-old geobiologist said he believed that magnetite crystals enabled animals from bees to whales to navigate by using the earth's magnetic field. He said he doubted that they supported any sensory capability in humans, although he suspected that they might account for the possible influence of strong electromagnetic fields on human health. That magnetite, one of the hardest metals on earth, is synthesized by the human brain "is sure to astound most scientists," Dr. Kirschvink said, but what it is doing there is a "total mystery." It might be a vestige from evolution and serve no purpose, he said. Or it could play a role in biology, explaining why electromagnetic fields have been associated with brain cancer and leukemia and why certain odd blips, called spin echoes, show up on magnetic resonance images of the brain. Each human brain on average contains seven billion particles of magnetite, weighing a total of one-millionth of an ounce. Magnetite interacts over a million times more strongly with external magnetic fields than any other biological material, Dr. Kirschvink said, including the iron in red blood cells. If only one cell in a million contains magnetite, he said, magnetic fields could exert an effect on the tissue.

Mushrooms communicate with each other using up to 50 'words', scientist claims "IndyWatch Feed Allworld"

Mathematical analysis of the electrical signals fungi seemingly send to one another has identified patterns that bear a striking structural similarity to human speech. Previous research has suggested that fungi conduct electrical impulses through long, underground filamentous structures called hyphae similar to how nerve cells transmit information in humans. It has even shown that the firing rate of these impulses increases when the hyphae of wood-digesting fungi come into contact with wooden blocks, raising the possibility that fungi use this electrical "language" to share information about food or injury with distant parts of themselves, or with hyphae-connected partners such as trees. Prof Andrew Adamatzky at the University of the West of England's unconventional computing laboratory in Bristol analysed the patterns of electrical spikes generated by four species of fungi enoki, split gill, ghost and caterpillar fungi. The research, published in Royal Society Open Science, found that these spikes often clustered into trains of activity, resembling vocabularies of up to 50 words, and that the distribution of these "fungal word lengths" closely matched those of human languages. The most likely reasons for these waves of electrical activity are to maintain the fungi's integrity analogous to wolves howling to maintain the integrity of the pack or to report newly discovered sources of attractants and repellants to other parts of their mycelia, Adamtzky suggested.

$24,400 May Be Next Major Level Of Support For Bitcoin, Heres Why "IndyWatch Feed Allcommunity"

Historical data of an on-chain indicator may suggest that the $24,400 level could be a major level of support for Bitcoin right now.

Bitcoin STH MVRV Would Hit 1.0 If Price Declines To $24,400

According to this weeks edition of the Glassnode report, the 1.0 level of the Bitcoin STH MVRV has been a point of support for the market during uptrends in the past. The STH here refers to the  short-term holder group, which is a Bitcoin cohort that includes all investors who have been holding onto their coins since less than 155 days ago.

The market value to realized value (MVRV) is an indicator that measures the ratio between the Bitcoin market cap and its realized cap. The realized cap here is a BTC capitalization model that aims to find the real value of the asset by assuming that the value of each coin in circulation is not the current price, but the price at which it was last moved on the blockchain.

Since the realized cap accounts for the price at which the investors bought (which is the price at which their coins last moved), its comparison with the market cap (that is, the current price) can tell us about the degree of profitability or loss among the overall market.

When the MVRV is greater than 1, it means the average investor is holding an unrealized profit with their BTC right now. On the other hand, values below this threshold imply the market as a whole is holding some amount of unrealized loss currently.

Now, the STH MVRV, the actual indicator of interest in the current discussion, naturally measures the value of the ratio specifically for the coins owned by the Bitcoin short-term holders.

The below chart shows the trend in the 7-day average value of this metric over the last few years:

Bitcoin Short-Term Holder MVRV

In the graph, Glassnode has marked the lines of the 7-day average Bitcoin STH MVRV that have been relevant to the price of the cryptocurrency during the last few years.

It looks like short-term corrections for the asset have generally become more probable when this indicator has crossed a value of 1.2. At this level, the STHs hold unrealized profits of 20%.

The recent drawdown in the cryptocurrencys price from the...

This Meme Coin Created By GPT-4 Is Now Worth $40 Million, Heres Why "IndyWatch Feed Allcommunity"

As the meme coin season continues to unfold, there have been more novel ideas coming out of the space. The most recent one that is catching investors attention is a meme coin that was created using the famous ChatGPT-4 artificial intelligence (AI). As the coin continues to rally, lets take a look at its inception and how it has been able to grow this much.

The Genesis Of Turbo Toad Token

About two weeks ago, a Twitter user that goes by Rhett Mankind posted that they had given GPT-4 a $69 budget with the instruction to create a meme token that become the most successful new meme token. What followed was an interesting thread sharing the process and creation of the token.

After going through different suggested names, Rhett finally settled on the name Turbo Toad Token (TTT) following a Twitter poll where the name emerged as the most popular. GPT-4 further provided the prompts to create AI images for the meme coin, as well as develop the tokenomics for it.

The coin was initially launched by Rhett but failed on the first try. However, the second iteration proved to be successful after a crowdfunding round carried out on Twitter. The website created was very basic but investors quickly latched on to the coin, pulling in around 50 holders with a 69 billion total supply on the first day. This is where it gets interesting.

AI-Generated Meme Coin Grows To $40 Million

The last iteration of the meme coin was launched on Sunday, April 29, and in the next three days, the coin exploded. First, TURBO launched at a price of around $0.00001773, data from Dextools shows, and it has already grown over 10x since then. Its holder base rose from 50 wallets on launch day to 4,474 at the time of writing, with over 14,600 transfers already carried out on the contract so far.

Interestingly, this meme coin has surged faster than some of its counterparts, now sitting at a $40 million market cap...

An Enchanting Addition to the American Museum of Natural History Houses the New Gilder Center within a Massive Geological Cavern "IndyWatch Feed Allcommunity"

A sculptural addition to the American Museum of Natural History encases the New York institution within a cavernous structure that captures the immensity of deep, geological time. The project of Chicago-based Studio Gang, the Richard Gilder Center for Science, Education, and Innovation is a massive, dramatic space spanning 230,000 square feet with sweeping exhibition halls, a research library with a ceiling evocative of a gilled mushroom, a theater, and a five-story atrium filled with natural light.

Similar to the museums Central Park West entrance, Milford pink granite cloaks the exterior, and the undulating cliff-like facade features windows of fritted glass, a porous material that reduces glare, energy costs, and most importantly, the risk of bird collisions. The interior of the center mimics a hidden cave with walls that appear eroded by wind and water to reveal round, asymmetric openings, all of which are made with textured shotcrete, concrete thats sprayed on an armature of rebar and metal mesh and then shaped. Designed as a system of loops to connect parts of the new wing with the existing building, the centers structure allows visitors to seamlessly flow from one space to the next.

Prominent Analysts Vouch For Crypto As The Banking Stocks Nosedive "IndyWatch Feed Allcommunity"

Chaos brews in the US financial sector as banking stocks tank further, and experts claim a crypto moment is brewing. The Feds continuous interest rate hike to curb inflation isnt helping matters.

The rising crisis sparked reactions from prominent analysts who weighed in on a possible bull run for crypto as the bank stocks tank.

The analysts believe the rising crisis presents an opportunity for crypto and bonds to shine. In recent tweets, prominent financial analysts, David Rosenberg, and Raoul Pal, think people should move to bonds and crypto now that banks are failing.

Banking Stocks Nosedive

The past few weeks have been chaotic in the United States banking sector as top banks collapsed in the blink of an eye. Although the crisis slightly impacted crypto after three crypto-focused banks collapsed, asset prices gained momentum, soaring higher in the days following the news.

Many attributed the rallies to the lost confidence in bank stocks among investors. Most investors resorted to crypto as an alternative to the declining bank stocks, increasing market sentiment and pushing asset prices.

Bitcoin rallied over 40% in the weeks following the collapse of top US-based global banks. Bitcoin hit and exceeded the $28,000 mark for the first time since June 2022.

Biden Administration Proposes 30% Tax On Crypto Mining To Counter Environmental Impact "IndyWatch Feed Allcommunity"

Several US authorities have raised concerns regarding the environmental impact of crypto mining. Previously, US lawmakers probed the crypto mining energy use and environmental impact.

Bidens administration is taking these concerns to another level. Bidens Council of Economic Advisers (CEA) announced a 30% digital asset mining tax to offset its environmental impact. The new tax rule tagged DAME will take effect after a phase-in period.

Bitcoin Energy Consumption Attracts New Tax Rules

Crypto mining electricity consumption and carbon emission have been a bone of contention in the United States over the past years. A recently published New York Times article claimed Bitcoin has a voracious appetite for electricity, sparking several reactions among crypto community members.

The CEA announced plans to impose a 30% tax on all crypto-mining activities. The council believes the crypto mining industrys operations negatively impact the environment and is ready to counter them.

The proposed tax, tagged Digital Asset Mining Energy (DAME), aims to make crypto mining firms take responsibility for their environmental impact. According to the CEAs announcement, the new tax rules will have a phased-in period before taking its course.

Under the new tax guidelines, all mining firms in the US would pay taxes on 30% of their total electricity usage. The CEA feels crypto miners must take responsibility for the environmental pollution they impose on the local community from the increased greenhouse gas emissions.

Also, the CEA believes...

Stacks (STX) Price Defies Bears, Surges While The Market Bleeds "IndyWatch Feed Allcommunity"

Stacks (STX) is on an uptrend today, gaining over 12% in the last 24 hours. Although the general crypto market is volatile, STX shows positive moves on the price chart.

STX increased progressively in 2023 despite some price pullbacks due to price volatility. It traded at $0.213 on January 1, 2023, and moved to the $0.3 price range on February 3. It increased to $0.6439 by February 19 and hit $0.9 on February 27 for the first time in 2023.

STX reached $1.1762 on March 17 after some price fluctuations. However, the bears were still active in the market, forcing a retreat back to the $0.7 price in April and early May. However, its price action is still positive.

Stacks (STX) Price Analysis

STX is in the green today, forming a higher high on the price chart as the bulls seek to reclaim the earlier gains. The $0.6786 support acted as a price pivot as it approached its closest resistance level of $0.8238. Also, STX is trading above its 200-day Simple Moving Average (SMA), a bullish sentiment in the long term.

Related Reading: Top 5 Cryptos To Watch This Week Amid US Banking Crisis

However, STX is still below its 50-day SMA since its decline on April 13, 2023. This is a bearish sentiment in the short term that shows the bears are still active in the market.

Also, the Moving Average Convergence/Divergence (MACD) is slightly above its signal line and shows a negative value. It is also a bearish sentiment. However, the MACDs histogram bars show a green bar forming, which indicates a positive trend reversal ahead.

STXs Relative Strength Index (RSI) is 51.59 in the neutral zone. Note that the indicator is moving upwards, signifying the possibility of an uptrend.

Stacks (STX) Price Surges While The Market Bleeds, Will It Continue Rising?

Although it is too optimistic to expect the asset to return to the $1 price level, it is still a long-term possibility. Expect a break above the $0.8238 resistance in the co...

Coming Soon mRNA Cancer and Flu Vaccines "IndyWatch Feed Allcommunity"

Story at-a-glance

  • Even though the mRNA COVID jabs are the most dangerous medical products ever to hit the market, vaccine makers and U.S. health agencies are steamrolling right ahead with a long list of mRNA-based shots, including combination shots to cover multiple viral infections
  • If the COVID shots are the most dangerous injections weve ever seen, what makes them think mRNA shots for cancer, heart disease, influenza, respiratory syncytial virus (RSV), HIV or any other condition will be any safer?
  • Moderna is planning to offer a personalized cancer shot by the end of 2028. The U.S. Food and Drug Administration has already designated it as a breakthrough therapy, which means the regulatory review will be expedited. The European Medicines Agency (EMA) is also fast-tracking it under the European priority medicines (PRIME) scheme
  • mRNA-based influenza shots are also in the works. Pfizer and Moderna both launched mRNA flu jab trials in the fall of 2022
  • Moderna is also developing mRNA shots for shingles and genital herpes based on the same platform used for its COVID jab a technology that doesnt stop infection and can depress your immune function such that you become more prone to infections and chronic diseases of all kinds

Reviving Argentina's Economy: Dollarization And Bitcoin As Catalysts For Change "IndyWatch Feed Allcommunity"

Many experts have suggested dollarization as a way to save Argentinas flailing economy, but it needs Bitcoin too.

This is an opinion editorial by Carlos Crdenas, an institutional account manager who has worked at legacy banks and cryptocurrency exchanges.

Argentina is on the verge of financial collapse as record inflation and Argentine peso (ARS) devaluation hits the market. According to research from Steve Hanke, a professor of applied economics at Johns Hopkins University, the peso has depreciated 47% against the U.S. dollar (UD) and inflation is running higher than 118% per year. His solution: dollarize the Argentine economy.

While dollarization is already in play in Argentina to some extent (many Argentinians save in dollars and accept dollars at their businesses) the peso is still the de facto currency of the country. The Dlar Blue rate, an informal measure of the cost of buying and selling a physical dollar bill in Argentina, has risen 23 times since 2018. At the time of this writing, it sits at 465 ARS to 1 USD. Factors such as the rising costs of living, bad economic practices and the COVID-19 pandemic have led to this outcome for Argentina.

Pundits, politicians and local citizens are advocating for full-fledged dollarization as the solution, but is this the best method, or can we find something better? Given the inherent problems with the USD, perhaps a hybrid approach that implements the superior qualities of Bitcoin, could serve Argentina better.

A Case Study In Ecuador

To analyze this, let's take a look at Ecuador, which was one of the first Latin American countries to leave its national currency, the sucre, and adopt U.S. dollars in 1999.

By the end of 1999, inflation in Ecuador had reached 60% and the sucre had devalued by about 300%. To prevent bank failures, the government shut down banks and started to rescue the financial system. As expected, this did not work and not only did poverty explode in...

What is a starseed, you ask?

Dont worry, because I am definitely going to tell you and along the day, well meet the people who very badly want to believe thats exactly what they are.

There are a group of people online who refer to themselves as Starseeds, which means they believe they are reincarnated aliens who first arrived on Earth from varying planets and stars.

One Youtuber, known as The Alchemist, attempts to explain.

Starseed is the modern name for what was known in antiquity as angels. They are residents of a higher dimensions that specifically incarnated into a human physical experience with the intention to help raise the collective consciousness of humanity.

This concept has been around since the original New Age push in the 70s and has been revived with the recent rise of the wellness industry.

If you think this sounds a little bit out there, youre not alone. That said, psychology professors Ken Drinkwater and Neil Dagnall think they can help explain why so many people are anxious to believe.

Today is the day, the long-awaited launch of the next Ethereum killer SUI is taking place at 8:15 am EST (12:15 UTC). From a purely technical standpoint, SUI does a few things differently compared to Ethereum, and therefore the expectations are high. In addition to the bankrupt exchange FTX, the project has numerous notable backers, including Circle, Binance Labs, and Electric Capital.

The designated proof-of-stake (dPoS) blockchain has an entirely new architecture that is supposed to outshine even the high-speed blockchain Solana. Many of Suis developers previously worked on the Meta (Facebook)-launched project Diem, which was scrapped some time ago due to regulatory headwinds.

The developers behind Sui, Mysten Labs, are one of two spinoffs from Diem, the second being none other than Aptos, which celebrated its mainnet launch last October. The former Meta employees founded Mysten Labs back in 2021 to develop Sui.

Why Sui Is Being Hyped

One of the things that sets the Sui blockchain apart is its tremendous processing speed of data, which no other layer-1 blockchain can match. In testing, Sui already brought it to more than 300,000 transactions per second (tps). This far exceeds even Solana (65,000 TPS). Likewise, Sui has a big speed advantage in transaction confirmation time.

While Solana needs around 20 seconds, Suis is only 450 milliseconds. In terms of scalability, Mysten Labs says that the system design is designed to allow horizontal scalability, which is not capped.

In addition to Suis high throughput and low latency, the project also touts a third advantage: the ability to process arbitrary amounts of data on chain. To do this, SUI makes use of a storage fund that redistributes fees for past transactions to future validators.

In other words, users pay upfront fees for both computation and storage. When storage requirements on-chain are high, validators receive additional rewards to offset their costs. Conversely, when storage requirements are low.

These three benefits are meant to take the use cases of blockchain technology to the next level.

Tokenomics

While IOUs were already trading on smaller exchanges ahead of the official launch of the blockchain at 8 am EST (2 pm CET), well-known crypto exchanges such as Binance, OKX, KuCoin, and ByBit have announced the listing of the new token as soon as liquidity requirements are met.

Binance, for example, said it expected to begin trading SUI/BTC, SUI/USDT, SUI/TUSD and SUI/BNB at 8:15 am EST.

SUIs token supply has a cap of 10 billion tokens. As stated by the Sui Foundation, a portion of the total supply is expected to be liquid when the mainnet launches today. The remaining tokens will be transferred or distributed as future re...

ADA Price (Cardano) Could Narrowly Avoid a Major Drop If It Closes Above $0.4 "IndyWatch Feed Allcommunity"

Cardanos price started a fresh decline from the $0.415 resistance. ADA could decline further if there is a clear move below the $0.38 support.

  • ADA price is struggling to gain pace above $0.40 and $0.415 against the US dollar.
  • The price is trading below $0.400 and the 100 simple moving average (4 hours).
  • There is a major bearish trend line forming with resistance near $0.398 on the 4-hour chart of the ADA/USD pair (data source from Kraken).
  • The pair could start a decent increase if it clears the $0.400 resistance zone.

Cardanos ADA Price Faces Resistance

This past week, Cardanos price made a couple of attempts to clear the $0.415 resistance. However, the bulls struggled to gain strength for a sustained move above $0.415.

As a result, there was a fresh decline toward the $0.38 support. A low is formed near $0.3800 and the price is showing a few bearish signs, similar to Bitcoin and Ethereum. It is now trading below $0.400 and the 100 simple moving average (4 hours).

On the upside, immediate resistance is near the $0.398 zone. There is also a major bearish trend line forming with resistance near $0.398 on the 4-hour chart of the ADA/USD pair.

The trend line is close to the 50% Fib retracement level of the recent drop from the $0.4149 swing high to the 0.3800 low. The next major resistance is forming near the $0.400 zone or the 100 simple moving average (4 hours).

The 61.8% Fib retracement level of the recent drop from the $0.4149 swing high to the 0.3800 low is also near $0.4015. If there is an upside break above the $0.402 and $0.405 resistance levels, the price could start a decent increase.

Emotional Attachment to a Home Is a Hazard "IndyWatch Feed Allcommunity"

A home is more than just a building or a piece of land. It is a place where memories are made. It is where we feel safe and secure and where we can connect with nature if we are lucky to live in the countryside or even off-grid. For many people, a home is the center of their lives, and therefore, they have a deep emotional attachment to it. Including myself.

Its almost impossible to avoid developing such a strong connection with the home or the land that feeds us and shelters us and our loved ones.

However, when a home is invaded by violent gangs, the emotional attachment can lead to dangerous consequences. In this article, we will explore the emotional attachment to a home and why it would be dangerous to fight to defend it if invaded by violent gangs.

Why we become emotionally attached to a home

If you are like me, a home is a sacred place where you create memories with your loved ones. It is where little ones have their first steps, where they learn how to ride a bike, and where we raise our children. Therefore, it is not surprising that we develop a deep emotional attachment to our home. It is a place that we associate with happy memories and a sense of belonging to something bigger.

It provides a sense of community.

In addition, a home is a place where we feel safe and secure. We have control over the environment, and we can create a space that reflects our values and beliefs. We can plant a garden, raise animals, and build a home that is tailored to our unique needs. Therefore, a home is not just a physical space but is also a reflection of our identity.

We live there on our terms. Its our little piece of heaven to be free.

And it is as well the most valuable inheritance we can leave to the generations we leave behind.

The emotional attachment to a home is not just limited to the physical space. It is also tied to the land itself. For many people, the land represents their heritage and cultural identity. It is a place where their ancestors lived, where they grew up, and where they plan to pass it down to their children. Therefore, a home is not just a place to live, but it is also a bridge working as a connection to our past and our future.

The dangers of fighting to defend a home

While the emotional attachment to a home is understandable, it can lead to dangerous consequences if the home is invaded by violent gangs. This is the most plausible scenario, indeed.

In such a situati.......

Cardano (ADA) Network Transaction Skyrockets Bullish Takeover Imminent? "IndyWatch Feed Allcommunity"

Cardano weathered the storm of a tumultuous April, marked by market turbulence and regulatory challenges, and emerged with a glimmer of growth. Despite the obstacles, the blockchain platforms native cryptocurrency, ADA, managed to hold its ground and even make some notable gains along the way.

The recently released monthly report for April by Cardano has shed light on some intriguing developments regarding the networks activity. The update offers insights into various aspects of Cardanos performance during the month of April, presenting a comprehensive overview of the platforms progress.

Heres whats up with Cardano:

Network Activity Shows Positive Growth Despite Challenges

Cardanos latest monthly report for April indicates that the network experienced a healthy uptick in transaction activity, with a 2.49% increase to 65.6 million transactions and a 1.19% growth in the number of wallets.

The report reveals that simple transactions made up the majority, accounting for 49% of total transactions, while smart contract transactions grew by 30% and metadata made up the rest. The report suggests that Cardanos increasing utility is driving significant growth.

However, despite the positive network activity, ADAs price has seen a decline in the past 24 hours, trading at $0.3875, a drop of 0.34%. The cryptocurrencys bearish performance has continued, with a further drop of 2.43% in the past seven days.

It remains to be seen how Cardanos growth in network activity will affect ADAs price in the long term.

ADA Positive April 1st Half Followed By Market Decline

Meanwhile, aside from the network activity growth, Cardanos monthly report also highlighted ADAs impressive performance in the first two weeks of April, with a 23% price gain. However, the cryptocurrency then experienced a significant decline, losing almost...

Watch a Traditional Japanese Carpenter Make 190+ Different Joints, All Without Nails, Screws, or Glue "IndyWatch Feed Allcommunity"

Before the internet, it would have been hard to imagine that people around the world would one day be unable to get enough of traditional Japanese carpentry, and specifically traditional Japanese joinery. And before Youtube, who could have predicted that videos showing each and every step of a woodworking project without narration, or indeed explanation of any kind would find an enthusiastic viewership? At the intersection of these two surprising phenomena stands that channel H Carpenter, whose unadorned, methodical, and detailed portrayals of wooden joint-making have racked up millions upon millions of views.

In traditional Japanese joinery, which weve featured many times before here on Open Culture, the carpenter uses no nails, screws, or adhesives. Rather, he carves the ends of the pieces of wood to be joined into interlocking three-dimensional shapes that can hold solid for decades, or even centuries.

School Principal, Forced to Resign After Students Learn About Michelangelos David, Visits the Renaissance Statue in Florence "IndyWatch Feed Allcommunity"

In March, a Florida school principal lost her job when 6th graders encountered Michelangelos David during an art history lessoneven though the school ostensibly specializes in offering students a content-rich classical education in the liberal arts and sciences. Parents apparently found the Renaissance sculpture, um, pornographic.

Fast forward two months, and the former principal Hope Carrasquilla has now traveled to Florence and visited Michelangelos David in person. This came at the invitation of the mayor of Florence, Dario Nardella, and the director of the Galleria dellAccademia, Cecilie Hollberg. Above you can see Hollberg on the left, and Carrasquilla on the right.

On Instagram, Carrasquilla commented:

Im very impressed. The thing that strikes me the most, and that I didnt know, is that this whole gallery was built for him [Michelangelos David]. I think its beautiful, it looks like a church. And to me, that just represents really the purity of this figure and you see his humanity.  There is nothing wrong with the human body. Michelangelo did nothing wrong. He could only sculpt it like this. It couldnt be otherwise. Hes wonderful and Im really happy to be here.

In her own statement, Hollberg said:

I am delighted to welcome her and show her the magnificence of our museum, as well as personally introduce her to David, a sculpture that I reiterate has nothing to do with pornography. It is a masterpiece representing a religious symbol of purity and innocence, the triumph of good over evil. His nudity is an outward manifestation of Renaissance thought, which considered man the centre of the universe. People from all over the world, including many Americans, make the pilgrimage to admire him every year. Currently, more than 50% of visitors are from the Un...

I lived in a gated apartment complex once and probably at least once a month some jerk would ram the gate trying to slip through with someone else because they couldnt wait around 30 seconds for the gate to close and open again.

Plus they had a weird curfew around 11pm or so where you would have to scan a resident card to open the gate instead but I think there were a few times where drunk idiots would just plow through the gate thinking that it would open automatically.

Ive been to war zones! GB News indignation at a police order to evacuate is a fabulously funny (and infuriating) watch "IndyWatch Feed Allcommunity"

High drama on GB News and its not often we say that after Jacob Rees-Moggs show was interrupted by police responding to a security alert outside Buckingham Palace.

The Conservative MP was live on air with his guest, former BBC royal correspondent (and much else besides) Michael Cole when a controlled explosion took place, which viewers could clearly hear in the background.

But its not the bang that were hear for well, it is but mostly its the response of Rees-Mogg and Cole (in particular) to police officers telling them to evacuate their studio outside the palace and which looks uncannily similar to portable toilet building without the urinal.

Their spiralling indignation is an absolute delight and peak GB News.

Cole, a former right hand man to Mohamed Al Fayed, said hed been to many, many war zones under pressure, beaten up, covered civil wars, great disturbances, all out wars around the world. Beirut for 10 years, civil war.

Can we just find out because overreaction is not what the British are about. We do have a certain amount of decorum on occasions like this. And so I want to hear the final word. I want to see a policeman or woman here telling us that we can no longer broadcast.

And there was this, from Rees-Mogg.

Im very sorry to say it is good evening from me for the time being as I think that was a controlled explosion in the background, that what it sounded like to me, we will no doubt find out later perhaps my sangfroid has been unduly sang and not enough froid, if Ive got my French right.

Heres what other GB News presenters made of it.

Goth Girlfriend, Conservative Dad Bond Over Passion for Taxidermy "IndyWatch Feed Allcommunity"

PORTLAND, Ore. Local man Eric Halverson was relieved to see his new goth girlfriend and his conservative father bond over their shared love of taxidermy, sources confirmed.

I was pretty nervous about bringing Stacy home for the first time, reported Halverson. My parents can be pretty conservative and Stacy, well she can be intense. So imagine my surprise when they immediately found something they have in common, even if it happens to be dead animals. They were talking about how they both like to bring exciting new bones to show to their friends. Of course, he was talking about the gun club and she was referring to her coven, but at the end of the day whats the difference? They had so much fun talking about his collection of Bear bacula that I dont think she even noticed his MAGA hat in the garage. Its a blessing too, because I dont think Stacy would have appreciated his opinions on gender equality.

Halvorsons girlfriend, Stacy Scheherazade Kowalski, is no stranger to the art of dead fauna.

Ive been collecting various animal parts since I was a kid, reported Kowalski. In second grade I started with an ant farm, then a hamster. Before I knew it I was picking up squished birds and mammals off the side of the highway. Now I run a part time interpretive taxidermy Etsy shop. When Im not bartending, of course. That being said, most of my customers are diehard Fox New viewers.

Halvorsons father, Barry Butch Halvorson, was equally surprised by the success of the visit.

Erics always bringing these weird, creepy girls home, with their crazy colored hair and chunks of metal in their faces, said the father of three. This one, yeah she might look a little strange, but she knows a prize 14 point buck when she sees one. Ive been getting so worked up lately with the whole indictment thing, and how these feminists cant stop killing babies, and that the heroes from the January 6th demonstration dont deserve this kind of treatment. It was really nice to meet someone who knows a thing or two about stuffing dead coyotes and mounting deer heads to the wall.

Bitcoin Analysis: How To Prepare For Todays FOMC Meeting "IndyWatch Feed Allcommunity"

Todays interest rate decision by the U.S. Federal Reserve (Fed) and the following press conference by the Federal Open Market Committee (FOMC) could make up for this years most important day so far for the Bitcoin price.

In March, the Fed had raised the benchmark interest rate by another 0.25 basis points (bps). At the time, central bankers were leaving their next steps open. Fed Chairman Jerome Powell clarified that further rate hikes may be appropriate and that the decision will be data dependent.

25 Bps Expected Despite Strong Headwinds

Most recently, the Consumer Price Index (CPI) surprised on the upside with an annualized decline to 5.0% (from 6.0%), but core inflation is proving to be very sticky. Nevertheless, the market expects todays 0.25 basis point rate hike to be the last in this cycle.

According to the CMEs FedWatch tool, 89% of market participants believe the Fed will make this move today, despite facing strong headwinds from U.S. politics yesterday. Democratic-led members of Congress called on the Fed to pause rate hikes.

Ten senators and representatives, led by Senator Elizabeth Warren, expressed concern about the Feds monetary policy strategy in a letter to Fed Chairman Jerome Powell on Monday and urged avoiding a recession that kills jobs and crushes small businesses.

Also arguing against continued aggressive policy is the fact that the fastest rate hike cycle in Fed history has caused deep cracks in the U.S. banking system. Following the fall of Silicon Valley Bank, Signature Bank and First Republic Bank, numerous other regional U.S. banks plunged deep into negative territory yesterday.

Partys Craziness Solidified by Presence of Barnyard Animal "IndyWatch Feed Allcommunity"

PONTIAC, Mich. Several local college seniors impressed guests by enhancing their partys epicness with the presence of a barnyard animal in their house, thoroughly wowed sources confirmed amidst hooting and hollering.

Every party strives to achieve farm animal is suddenly there hanging out amidst the revelry tier, but only the select few ever truly make it. The act of having a billy goat, flock of chickens, or even just a standard dairy cow milling around drunken chaos can really enhance the ambience for the better, and lets face it: we had it last night in droves, said host Kris Fruitfly Yates. That moment everybody turned around and noticed a ram gnawing on the ottoman like it was a bale of hay? Thats when I knew nobody would care that I watered down the keg.

Local farmers report a less enthusiastic takeaway to the practice.

Those damn college kids are always pilfering my livestock for their shindigs and what-have-ya, and Im here to sayit ends now. Granted, they always make sure to bring em back, but always drunk or spray-painted, or sometimes even in sunglasses, said Farmer Curtis Myrtle, the proprietor of Myrtle Acres. Those preppy no-counts think having animals at your party makes it better? Let me tell you, every party Ive ever thrown has had at least a bakers dozen varmints roaming through it, and nobody ever tikkity-toks or instygams about how legendary they are, which seems downright discriminatory to me.

Party planner Hetta Breen-Duffage gets to the root of the phenomenons popularity.

Well, its simple, really. Ground zero for animal randomly at a party is definitely the one Robin Williams throws for his son that gets him divorced from his wife in Mrs. Doubtfire. Folks putting a soiree together will recall how crazy that party was, so crazy that it causes Sally Field to end their relationship, and say thats what I want for my graduation! or whatever the occasion may be, said Breen-Duffage. Now, this party last night thrown by Fruitfly and his buddies; that one may have even surpassed Doubtfire levels. My sources say Field herself would have severed ties with every last one of those guys, especially if that House of Pain song were blaring at the time.

At press time, Farmer Myrtle had plans for a slacker frat guy to suddenly appear at a birthday party hes arranging for his prize sheep to test if it works the other way, too.

Awkward: This Boy Accidentally Said I Love You to His Dad Instead of His Teacher "IndyWatch Feed Allcommunity"

Theres no coming back from this one. Jeremy Macon just said I love you to his dad instead of his intended target, seventh-grade English teacher, Dianne King. He might as well have kissed his father on the lips and asked for a bedtime story.

He tried to explain that the words of affection were intended for Ms. King, the kind beautiful woman who always encouraged his talents, rather than the strange angry man who often drank visibly expired milk from the carton, but Jeremys family had already decided he was a total pussy.

This is worse than the time he mistakenly went in for a hug when his dad said Put her there after changing a tire together.

If he doesnt do some damage control, and fast, this I love my dad legacy could follow him well into adulthood. If only he could revert to simpler times when he was known to his family for wetting the bed and not knowing how to pronounce the word February.

Contrary to his public reaction, accidentally telling your dad you love him is a normal part of growing up no different from acne or first crushes. Just because youre the first man in four generations to confront your father with an emotion he was taught to bury at all costs, doesnt mean you should beat yourself up.

Real men know theres only one way for a father and son to express love, and thats to become competitive over money, fitness, or women, but that type of wisdom comes with age. You cant know what you dont know.

Oh shit, now his family is singing Jeremy and Dad sitting in a tree K-I-S-S-I-N-G. He can never show his face around here again. He might even need to transfer families. This is probably how Jeremys dad felt that time he accidentally said Im proud of you to one of his kids instead of his employees.

Kyle woke to see his Uncle Evans looking down at him. His uncle had that deathly serious look. The small bedside lamp was on but otherwise, the room was dark. No light came in through the windows. The windows were open though, and the cool, early autumn air came in, bringing with it the nighttime sounds of the Texas Hill Country.

What time is it? Kyle asked. Uncle Evans didnt answer that question....

Are Hard Jobs Best Left To Lazy People? Heres Why Some Folks Say Definitely Yes. "IndyWatch Feed Allcommunity"

It might go against your inclination to agree that lazy people are the ones to trust with the toughest job, but some people say theyre the ones who will find the easiest road to accomplishing them.

And then the rest of us can follow suit.

These people must agree, because theyve got some real-life examples that just might convince you, too.

Theyre always shocked.

I used to have to make two contracts for every person I brought on a traveling training team. I said 2 contracts was stupid and made them into 1, sent it to our lawyers, and they approved it. Still took me too goddamn long to update each contract with different names, pay rates, and dates. Went on r/excel and found out how to make a mailer list and hours of work takes me 10 minutes. I didnt tell anyone this though so I just take my time.

Then I had to make floor maps for restaurants to send to the company that puts them into our scheduling program. Well all of our restaurants are cookie cutter so I just use paint to piece them together rather than make all of them each time. Im fucken picasso with Microsoft paint.

Then they wanted me to use excel to keep track of training teams. One of my coworkers used Smartsheet and loves to teach people things. So I jump on Smartsheet with her and she shows me around. Way easier and easier publishing it so that people can see the teams but not mess up any info.

Using forms to not have to ask them 30 questions that auto-populate my Smartsheet, sharing it with payroll so they never have to reach out to me, templates on outlook, tons of stuff. People Weigh In On Why They Decide To Be Kind Every Single Day "IndyWatch Feed Allcommunity"

Listen, no one can be kind every single day of their lives. We all get into moods, or have things come up that we cant control.

That said, plenty of people do their best to face each day with a good, kind attitude regardless of how others respond to them and if youre curious how they can manage it, heres how some folks make it happen!

Its what they have to give.

Im not especially strong or educated, Im not particularly well off and I know I can get carried away and come off as annoying sometimes.

So if I cant be strong or smart, socially adept or successful I can definitely be kind.

Any given day.

Because i could be the other person.

wherever people make a big deal out of help, I always say Well, I trust youd do the same for me.

I had someone reply with No I wouldnt, Im a d*%k and just said Well, maybe this was meant to let you reevaluate that. I kinda wonder if they did, we didnt know each other very well.

Its just easier.

Tbh for me it takes a lot of effort to be an a$$.

No like its so tiring to be a d*%k, like Ill get angry at something for a moment and before I know whats happening the wind has already left my sails and I cant be f**ked anymore.

Because why not?

I just do it cause why not? Let me tell you of a story: there once was a king who wanted a pond of milk. He told every single resident MUST give one cup of milk in the hole.

Acid Reflux May Respond Better to Foods Than Prescribed Pills "IndyWatch Feed Allcommunity"

Editor's Note: This article is a reprint. It was originally published January 3, 2018.

Americans spend a whopping $13 billion a year on over-the-counter and prescription proton pump inhibitors (PPIs), which are the most popular anti-reflux medications on the market.1 Because they inhibit acid production, prescription PPI drugs like Nexium, Prevacid and Prilosec are used to treat acid reflux, also known as gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD), a condition affecting about 20% of the U.S. population.2

Once prescribed, your doctor may keep you on a PPI drug for years, despite label warnings suggesting they be used only for short periods. If you regularly suffer from heartburn or acid reflux, you'll want to take note of research suggesting dietary changes are as or more effective than drugs in addressing acid reflux.

In many cases, you can begin to restore your body's proper gastric balance and function simply by avoiding processed foods and sugar. By eating real food and infusing your gut microbiome with beneficial bacteria from traditionally fermented foods or a high-quality probiotic supplement you can rebalance your digestive system and eliminate the need for PPIs and other medications. In addition, there are several natural remedies available to help you address this condition.

What Is Reflux?

Reflux, or GERD, occurs when contents from your stomach back up into your esophagus, causing stomach acid to irritate the lining of your esophagus. Other common names for this condition include:

  • Acid indigestion
  • Acid regurgitation
  • Heartburn

If you experience acid reflux symptoms more than twice a week, you very likely have reflux disease or GERD, which involves bloating, burning pain in your chest and gut discomfort.

GERD sufferers who experience pronounced reflux symptoms concentrated in the upper throat area, including the pharynx and voice box, may have a more serious condition called laryngopharyngeal reflux (LPR). LPR occurs when pepsin, a digestive enzyme from your stomach, damages the sensitive tissues in the back of your throat, resulting in symptoms such as:3

  • A "lump" in your throat that doesn't go away
  • Excessive throat clearing or throat mucus
  • Hoarseness
  • Persistent cough or sore throat
  • Trouble breathing or swallowing

Why Is It Easier to Get This Deadly Treatment Than Ivermectin? "IndyWatch Feed Allcommunity"

Ivermectin, a drug approved by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration, is widely used to treat parasitic diseases.1 The total doses of ivermectin distributed equal one-third of the worlds population, and its "considered extremely safe for use in humans."2 Ivermectin even has antiviral and anti-inflammatory properties, widening its potential scope of use.

But when Dr. Pierre Kory, who is part of the group that formed the Front Line COVID-19 Critical Care Working Group (FLCCC), pleaded with the U.S. government early on in the pandemic to review the expansive data on ivermectin to prevent COVID-19, keep those with early symptoms from progressing and help critically ill patients recover he was met with backlash.3,4

While health care professionals and their patients have been ridiculed, threatened and denied the ability to use ivermectin to treat COVID-19, a deadly drug fentanyl continues to circulate unabated.

Patients Denied Safe, Effective Ivermectin

Reports and videos have circulated online of pharmacists denying patients ivermectin, even when they have a doctors prescription.5 One pharmacist told Fox News that if he suspects an ivermectin prescription is intended to treat COVID-19, he wont fill it. "Based on the quantity and based on the dosage, I know exactly what it's for I've denied all of them, yes, he said.6

Further, in a video posted on Twitter, you see the patient trying to pick up his prescription of ivermectin, which the pharmacist flat out refuses to fill ... noting it's not FDA approved for the virus, TMZ reported:7

The customer is adamant that it was prescribed to him by a licensed physician, and that the pharmacist is breaking the law by overriding his doctor's orders but the pharmacist tells him to kick rocks, and to complain to whoever he feels he needs to complain to.

In September 2021, the American Medical Association told doctors to stop prescribing ivermectin for COVID-19. In a statement, AMA, along with the American Pharmacists Association (APhA) and American Society of Health-System Pharmacists (ASHP), warned:8

A Silent Thief of Sight: Are You at Risk? "IndyWatch Feed Allcommunity"

Glaucoma is the second leading cause of blindness in the world. Worldwide, an estimated 80 million people are affected, and prevalence is rising.1 Glaucoma develops when high pressure in your eye (ocular hypertension2) damages the optic nerve. Peripheral vision is impacted first, followed by central vision.

Ocular hypertension occurs when the front of your eye fails to drain fluid properly, thereby causing pressure to build and put pressure on the optic nerve. Factors that raise your risk for ocular hypertension include:

Family history of ocular hypertension or glaucoma

Diabetics and those with high blood pressure

People over 40

Blacks and Hispanics

Myopia (nearsightedness)

Long-term steroid use

Previous eye injuries or eye surgeries

Those with pigment dispersion syndrome or pseudoexfoliation syndrome

The only known way to prevent and/or stop the progression of glaucoma is to lower the pressure in the eye. Treatment options include drugs, lasers, laceration surgery, oral medications, nutritional supplements, herbs and other plant remedies, several of which Ill review below.

Keep in mind that loss of vision is usually the first and only symptom of glaucoma, so its important to get a thorough eye exam by an ophthalmologist to determine if your ocular pressure is elevated, which could make you a candidate for glaucoma. Once vision loss occurs, the damage to your optic nerve is irreversible.

The Ocular Hypertension Treatment Study (OHTS)

Being diagnosed with ocular hypertension does not mean youre destined to develop glaucoma, but it does significantly raise your risk, as its the primary underlying cause. The Ocular Hypertension Treatment Study (OHTS), which began in 1994, has also identified other risk factors that can help determine your risk for glaucoma. As reported by Harvard Health:3

The researchers enrolled a diverse group of 1,636 participants with ocular hypertension from 22 sites across the US. To study glaucoma prevention, participants were randomly assigned to start either early eye pressure-lowering eye drops (medication group) or close observation (control group).

At five years the data showed that 4.4% of participants developed glaucoma in the medication group, compared to 9.5% in the control group. This t...

Nightmare Scenario: Godfather Of AI Quits Google To Warn The World About The Dangers Of AI "IndyWatch Feed Allcommunity"

This week, a man who is commonly referred to as the Godfather of artificial intelligence (AI) handed in his resignation from his position at Google due to concerns about the future of AI.

The research that Geoffrey Hinton has done on deep learning and neural networks earned him the Turing Award in 2019, which is worth one million dollars, and has made him one of the most well-known researchers in his field.

During that time, he expressed his happiness with the victory to the CBC by saying that for a long time, neural networks were regarded as flaky in computer science. This was an acceptance that its not actually flaky.

Since then, a variety of artificial intelligence (AI) tools, such as Chat-GPT and AI picture generators, amongst many others, have contributed to the widespread use of the approach.

According to the New York Times, Hinton, who started working for Google in 2013 when the tech giant purchased his firm, now feels that the technology might pose hazards to society and has resigned the company in order to be free to speak about it publicly.

In the near term, Hinton is concerned about the chance that AI-generated text, photos, and videos could lead to humans being unable to know what is true anymore, in addition to the risk that the labor market will be disrupted.

Over the course of a longer period of time, he is far more concerned about artificial intelligence overtaking human intellect and AI picking up unanticipated behaviors.

Right now, theyre not more intelligent than us, as far as I can tell, he told the BBC. But I think they soon may be.

According to Hinton, who is 75 years old, artificial intelligence is now behind humans in terms of thinking, despite the fact that it is already capable of simple reasoning. However, he believes that it already has a significant advantage over humans in terms of its general knowledge.

All these copies can learn separately but share their knowledge instantly, he told the BBC. So its as if you had 10,000 people and whenever one person learnt something, everybody automatically knew it.

According to what he said to the New York Times, one cause for worry is the possibility that bad actors may use AI for their own evil purposes. Research into artificial intelligence by such groups would be far harder to oversee compared to the development...

The Federal Government will ban all non-prescription vaping products, after evidence emerged that using the products could make you look like a dickhead.

Decriminalisation Of Sex Work in Queensland Means Stuart Robert Can Continue To Fuck Country For Money "IndyWatch Feed Allcommunity"

The Queensland government has confirmed it will decriminalise sex work, creating a safer environment for sex workers and allowing the member for Fadden to continue to make cash from screwing the nation out of cash.

The former Minister for Employment claimed $239,493.27 on printing and communications expenses in one financial year, spent almost $17,000 of taxpayer money on personalised letterhead stationary, and has been involved in a number of companies that later won government contracts. Robert was also a leading figure in the Robodebt scandal, which involved the largest group fuck in the history of Australia.

Experts say the laws will provide extra safety, claiming Roberts may have been forced to engage in a number of unsafe acts at the behest of lobbyists. Others say the law-change is an acknowledgement that previous efforts have failed, and Stuart Robert fleecing the taxpayer is always going to be part of our society.

We can pretend it doesnt exist, or we can say, Stuart Robert will probably try to fuck us again for his $1,000-a-month broadband bill and thats just part of life, one legal expert said.

Big Pharma To Begin 3D Printing Microneedle Patch Vaccines For Injections On Demand "IndyWatch Feed Allcommunity"

This article was originally published by Ethan Huff at Natural News.

Scientists from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) have come up with a new microneedle vaccine technology that allows for small vaccine patches to be created on demand using three-dimensional (3-D) printing machines.

Dr. Ana Jaklenec, who co-authored a study about the technology, stated that the plan is to use these 3-D vaccine printing machines in the Third World to mass-vaccinate poor people without the need for refrigeration and other traditional vaccine storage and transportation methods.

We could someday have on-demand vaccine production, Jaklenec said in a press release, explaining that 3-D printed vaccine patches can be stored at room temperature for months at a time.

If, for example, there was an Ebola outbreak in a particular region, one could ship a few of these printers there and vaccinate the people in that location, she added.

(Related: After the launch of covid, Bill Gates announced plans to mass-inject the world using quantum dot tattoos with hidden coronavirus vaccines.)

3-D printed vaccines contain the same RNA as the injections

Each patch, Jaklenec further explained, contains vaccine ink that was injected into molds by a robotic arm. A vacuum chamber is then used to draw the ink to the individual tips, palisades, or the patch.

The resulting patches, about the size of a thumbnail, contain hundreds of microneedles that enable the vaccine to dissolve, reported Study Finds. The needles tips dissolve under the skin, releasing the vaccine.

According to Dr. John Daristotle, the studys lead author, it was the launch of covid that ultimately led to these efforts to incorporate RNA vaccines into microneedle patches.

The goal is to create these vaccine patches for all sorts of conditions, including polio, measles, and rubella. Just slap on a patch and voila: instant vaccination with no need for a traditional injection.

The ink in these patches contains RNA molecules encapsulated in lipid nanoparticles, which are used for maintaining stability of the solution for extended periods of time.

After the molds are filled, it takes 24-48 hours for them to dry. Using the current prototype, the ink volume is enough to produce 100 patches in two days, though scientists hope to increase capacity over time.

The first ink created with RNA e...

Good job, Sally!

One morning, my daughters fianc, Jeremy, grabbed breakfast from the freezer. Soon after, our dog, Sally, came to his side, whimpering and pacing until he followed her to the kitchen. She pawed and yelped at the freezer doorbut she wasnt begging for food.

Jeremy opened the freezer door and found our kitten, Punsey, lying cold and limp on the low metal shelf. Punsey mustve gotten curious and snuck in while Jeremys back was turned. Jeremy wrapped Punsey in a thick towel and held him against his chest until he warmed up and began moving.

Good thing Sally was looking out for her little buddy.

A total diva.

Our beloved heifer Lulu was a total diva. She was a food hog and a troublemaker, but also a great asset because she was the lead cow when the herd moved pastures. Cows like to follow a leader, and Lulu liked to lead!

One summer, a wildfire broke out. While evacuating, we could barely see through the smoke or hear over the roar of the flames, but we knew that if Lulu could hear us, shed come. My husband could see Lulu looking around bewildered but trying to prevent a stampede. He ventured into the smoke to get her attention.

A few minutes later, Lulu and my husband emerged, leading our bull and 25 heifers to a safe pasture. If she hadnt been there to calm and lead the others, they wouldve panicked and scattered. Our sassy little heifer kept the herd together and likely saved many of their lives.

Johns Hopkins Study: 7 Herbs Can Kill Lyme Bacteria Outperforming Conventional Treatment "IndyWatch Feed Allcommunity"

Lyme disease is a bacterial infection caused by the bacterium Borrelia burgdorferi, transmitted to humans through the bite of infected black-legged ticks. It is a prevalent disease in the United States, with tens of thousands of reported cases each year.

Treating Lyme disease can be challenging, as the bacteria can hide in different forms and evade the immune system. Common treatments include antibiotics, but their success rate varies, and some patients continue to experience symptoms even after treatment, known as Post-treatment Lyme Disease Syndrome (PTLDS) or chronic Lyme disease.

Signs and symptoms of Lyme disease include:

  • Bulls-eye rash (erythema migrans)
  • Fatigue
  • Fever
  • Chills
  • Headache
  • Muscle and joint aches
  • Swollen lymph nodes

A recent study from Johns Hopkins University evaluated the effectiveness of certain herbs in treating Borrelia burgdorferi, the bacteria associated with Lyme disease. The study compared the herbs to common antibiotics, doxycycline and cefuroxime and discovered that some herbs outperformed antibiotics in treating different forms of the bacteria.

Top 7 Herbs for Lyme Disease Treatment:

  1. Cryptolepis
  2. Japanese knotweed
  3. Cats claw
  4. Chinese skullcap
  5. Artemisia (wormwood)
  6. Black walnut
  7. Cistus incanus (essential oil)

The study found that Cryptolepis was the most effective in treating both motile and persister forms of Borrelia, even outperforming common antibiotics like doxycycline and cefoperazone. Other highly effective herbs include Japanese knotweed, cats claw, and Chinese skullcap. While artemisia and black walnut also showed promising results, their potential toxicities make them suitable only for short-term use.

Some commonly used herbs, such as Andrographis, stevia, grapefruit seed extract, and monolaurin, did not show significant activity against Borrelia in this study. However, Andrographis is still considered valuable due to its immune-boosting properties and ability to target other microbes that may be involved in chronic Lyme disease.

Advantages of using herbs for Lyme disease treatment:

  • Effective against both motile and cyst forms of Borrelia
  • Broad-spectrum coverage against various types of bacteria, viruses, protozoa, and fungi
  • Modulation or enhancement of immune system functions
  • Preservation of normal gut flora and balance of the bodys microbiome
  • Low potential for toxicity, allowing for long-term use

Worth noting another study in 2018, an in vitro (in culture cells) suggested that 10 plant-derived essential oils could help fight off B. burgdorferi.

The study from Joh...

Whenever I read about how AI is going to replace humans someday, I am frequently reminded about this scene from the 1939 film The Wizard of Oz.

Of the many astounding developments of the current era (AI!), none is more remarkable than the proliferation of soothsayers peering into crystal balls to predict The Most Important Trend In The Universea Bull or Bear stock market. The computing power and wealth thrown at conjuring up charts, statistics and forecasts is astounding in and of itself, but the proliferation of crystal balls and soothsayers is even more astounding.

After reviewing hundreds of charts, statistics and forecasts on the most arcane correlations and the deepest data-dives (AI!), Ive reached soothsayer satori: the secret to insuring a Never-Ending Bull Market in which monumental wealth will be piled up by all those entities (software and wetware alikeAI!) who buy every tiny dip and continuously roll over their zero-expiration-day-call-options is this:
